We are looking for a creative, dynamic and enthusiastic member of the Communications and Marketing Team who can support us in the development and delivery of Thrive’s communication and marketing strategy and boost our awareness and engagement using both online and offline channels.
Broad Outline of Key Responsibilities –
• Creating web pages and managing content and assets such as video, images, case-studies
• Supporting the delivery of internal and external email newsletters; creating content, managing email lists, automations and segmentations
• Translate media stories into compelling content across channels to grow audience understanding of the charity and consideration to support
• Attend external events to network and represent Thrive
• Monitoring channels and producing regular reports on performance from analytics
This a versatile role, encompassing skills and experience across digital marketing, content creation, press and media as well as social media. So you will need to be creative, have a passion for storytelling and identifying and writing engaging content across all our channels.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social and digital media professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare.
The Social and Digital Media Officer plans, creates and publishes the charity’s social media and digital communications, ensuring accurate content and the right brand look, feel and messaging. Working to the Head of Communications and with the wider team, you will organise and proactively seek out stories and other content from across the charity to engage audiences through our digital media channels, including social platforms, the website and email. Sutton Community Works (SCW) is a Christian charity in South London. Sutton Foodbank is one of our faith in action projects and we are looking for a dedicated manager to oversee the smooth delivery of this amazing project supported by almost 100 volunteers!
Our vision is for our faith in action projects to contribute to a safe and flourishing community in Sutton.
Our work focuses on areas including food poverty, young people, rough sleepers and homelessness. In all our work, our ethos is to love God and others in all we do and say, ensuring people feel seen, heard, understood, and helped.
Sutton Foodbank has been helping people in food crisis since 2009, and supported nearly 4000 adults and children in 2024. We are open 5 times per week across 4 different venues and people are referred to by referral partners across the borough. Details of our sessions can be found on Sutton Foobank website.
Sessions are run by our dedicated volunteers who come from local churches; and our dependable warehouse, restocking and transport volunteers always ensure food gets safely to where it is needed.
People visiting the foodbank come from a vast variety of backgrounds but all have faced difficult life experiences. Beyond food, we also want people to access support to improve their situation, so we commision Citizens Advice to come to the foodbank sessions to help people maximise their income and provide advice on topics such as housing, debt and benefits.
And as a Christian project we underpin everything with prayer, and actively offer prayer to our clients too. The genuine care and compassion from our volunteers helps to build trusting relationships so we can more effectively listen, pray and signpost people to other support.
As our Foodbank Manager, you can use your leadership experience, excellent communication and organisational skills and Christian faith in a way that makes a real difference in people's lives.

Direct Marketing Manager-Retention at the Disasters Emergency Committee is pivotal when we launch an appeal. They will shape and deliver new and existing supporter journeys for the DEC’s individual, community and legacy donors, and lead a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.
The purpose of the role is to:

A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income and retention of a charity’s individual supporters. Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget.
You must have excellent understanding of donor motivations, managing donor relationships, supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
Ideally you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector, have excellent understanding of current trends within charity direct marketing and have used Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google analytics.
An ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail is a key driver for success in this role.
You will join a collaborative team, department and organisation that excels in maximising their fundraising effort in response to disasters that keeps donors and recipients of funds updated and engaged throughout and beyond the journey of an appeal.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In this exciting role, you will take the lead on delivering our Individual Giving and Legacy strategies — bringing fundraising campaigns to life through engaging appeals, supporter newsletters, and donor journeys that inspire action. You’ll develop and grow our young legacy programme, nurturing meaningful relationships with pledgers and prospects. Championing exceptional supporter care will be at the heart of everything you do, making sure every donor feels truly valued. You’ll work strategically, staying ahead of sector trends and ensuring we’re always following best practice, while also diving into the data — managing budgets, reporting performance through Salesforce, and using insights to drive smarter, more impactful fundraising. As part of the Fundraising Managers Team, you’ll collaborate across the charity and play an active role in shaping the future of our work.

Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is offering an exciting position as Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media) in a dynamic European non-profit patient advocacy organisation. This role will help deliver the MPE communications strategy, providing both strategic and operational support across the organisation, and ensuring that MPE is increasing our reach and impact to improve the lives and experiences of myeloma patients.
As Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media), you will work with the Head of Communications and other key staff across to the organisation to:
- Implement MPE communications strategy, monitor and improve MPE reach, and increase impact with key stakeholders
- Develop and disseminate strong and relevant messaging for key stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate our performance and reach across digital and social communications channels
This will include working on the following core activities and tasks:
Digital communications (40%)
- Writing, editing and updating content for the MPE website (i.e. using WordPress, Elementor and other content management systems)
- Developing written and graphic content for MPE programme specific websites (such as MPE Navigator and Myeloma Access Atlas)
- Collaborating with relevant MPE staff on digital content development and publication
- Designing educational and promotional materials including leaflets, reports, patient materials, campaign materials and social media adverts/cards/images
- Supporting the Head of Communications with the development and management of monthly E-newsletter content, webinars and other relevant communications activities
- Developing multi-media communications campaigns
Social media (40%)
- Leading MPE social media and content planning, maintaining and developing our content so that it engages our audiences, supports our messaging and strategic goals
- Managing MPE social media sites – LinkedIn, Facebook, etc, monitoring and advising on ways to increase reach
- Developing an annual content calendar reflecting significant internal and external events
Video filming and editing (15%)
- Supporting development of interview content with stakeholders (such as doctors, patients and other stakeholders)
- Video filming at various events, including medical congresses and the MPE Annual Masterclass
- Video editing and dissemination
Other (5%)
- Staff meetings, annual events, providing communications support to MPE team and other ad hoc communications tasks as required.
About you:
Essential
- Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in communications role or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of writing and developing communications content , social media posts, news stories and articles (this will be tested at interview)
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and increasing reach of an organisation via communications channels
- Ability to explain and communicate complex topics to diverse and lay audiences
- Basic digital design skills
- Excellence in writing, proofreading and editing in English. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker
- Editorial and storytelling skills
- Strong knowledge of social media channels and ability to use analytics tools
- Experience using WordPress and/or other content management systems
- Self-motivating, flexible approach and ability to work with an international team in a virtual setting
Desirable
- Relevant degree in communications, English or comparable
- Design expertise and ability to use Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere) as well as other platforms such as Canva or PowToon
- Experience of video filming and edition
- Experience in patient advocacy or non-profit healthcare organisation

A key part of the role will be designing and developing high-quality training content—both in-person and digital—tailored to the needs of our teams. You’ll be responsible for regularly reviewing and updating training materials to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with best practices. You will also oversee our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it is well-maintained, up to date, and accessible to all staff.

Responsibilities
Training & Development Strategy
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of engaging and relevant training in line with contractual and organisational requirements.
- Work closely with Service Managers to identify learning needs and skills gaps across teams.
- Develop and maintain content on the Learning Management System (LMS), tailoring courses to meet operational priorities.
- Research and introduce new training initiatives (e.g., apprenticeships, funded programmes) aligned with strategic objectives.
- Design and review development pathways to support growth into new contracts or impact areas.
- Ensure compliance of mandatory training as required by our contract holders.
Performance & Capability
- Oversee the supervision and appraisal framework, ensuring staff receive meaningful, holistic feedback.
- Identify and support upskilling needs for professional growth and organisational performance.
- Support managers with performance management processes, including informal interventions and formal proceedings where necessary.
Training Quality & Evaluation
- Monitor the quality and impact of internal training sessions.
- Ensure trainers are confident and engaging in their delivery.
- Maintain oversight of the training calendar, attendance tracking, and associated admin.
Onboarding & Induction
- Manage and continuously improve the New Starter Induction programme.
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of employee onboarding to ensure a positive and well-supported start.
- Deliver inductions, training and workshops when required.
Employee Experience & Wellbeing
- Oversight of access to effective Peer Group Support across relevant teams and monitor its impact.
- Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and developmental employee experience.
People & Culture
- Represent the People & Culture team in recruitment processes by chairing interviews where needed.
- Support the management of the shared L&D and People and Culture inboxes and respond to general enquiries.
