About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Tameside. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in advocacy, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

About the Role

About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, innovative team player to join our Young People and Families Service in Northern Ireland. This role will be based in Northern Ireland, in our Belfast Office but will support service delivery across Northern Ireland and the UK.
As a Young People and Families Worker you will work with colleagues, partners, healthcare professionals, schools, volunteers, families and – most importantly – young people to co-plan, deliver and evaluate a high quality, holistic support offer locally and nationally.
You will help young people living with arthritis to build their confidence, make friends and achieve their personal goals. This will be achieved by providing one-to-one support, creating peer networks and working with volunteers to co-deliver self-management activities on a variety of topics from sleep management to self-advocacy.
You’ll also co-design an exciting programme of social events, youth voice opportunities, digital content and residential events. You will act as the bridge between young people, their families and professionals – especially in healthcare settings where you will play a unique role working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to meet a range of needs. You will support young people during the pivotal transition from paediatric to adult services, making sure it is a time of empowerment and growth.
About you
If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:
- Experience of working with the third sector, preferably within the fields of youth/community development work and/or health and social care – with a passion for improving the lives of young people.
- Understanding the importance of self-management and experience of delivering interventions to people living with long term conditions.

Responsibilities: Finance
- Expense and invoice Management: Accurately file and record expenses and invoices using QuickBooks or Xero

Responsibilities: Team Support

- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred but not essential – although we ask for a strong commitment to social impact but this can be through volunteering, activism etc
Compensation and Benefits
- This role is two days a week. We are open to this being two full full days or the allocation being stretched across the week.
- The contract is being offered on a one year fixed-term contract at 37,000 GBP pro-rata with a strong possibility of extension

About the Investment Team
The Investment Team is responsible for selecting charity partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our charity partners to improve and scale their impact.
The Investment Team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.
The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.
The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. Job description – Investment Director
The Investment Director (ID) is a key member of the Investment Team, playing a leading role in identifying, assessing, and supporting portfolio partner charities and other non-profit organisations to deepen their impact and scale their outcomes. This role works closely with other Investment Directors and Investment Managers to deliver external facing support to portfolio partners as well as internal projects to support the development of the investment model and portfolio strategy.

Key responsibilities
Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio
- Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment.
- Leading in-depth due diligence process to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential.
- Modelling from first contact of origination, our approach to engaged and trust-based investment management support.

As a Community & Events Fundraiser you will be responsible for developing and implementing a programme of vibrant, commercially successful fundraising events. Duties will include:

Role Overview
• Lead and implement Premier’s comprehensive donor retention strategy, crafting communication that supports long-term donor engagement.
• Ensure all first-time donors receive immediate, heartfelt acknowledgment, fostering a strong initial connection.
• Plan the reactivation journey for lapsed Direct Debit donors, analysing and enhancing the conversion rate of such campaigns.
• Create bespoke communication plans through personalized updates, including exclusive insights and messages from the CEO.
• Oversee fundraising content for Premier’s quarterly supporter publication and liaise with external agencies to produce impactful donor retention materials.
• Utilise retention metrics to refine strategies and recommendations for Premier’s broader fundraising efforts.
