This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

About The Role: 

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough. 

Key Requirements Include: 

• Lived experience of Caring for someone with a mental health condition 

• Knowledge and understanding of mental health and the associated challenges and support needs. 

• The ability to work within the principles and values of peer support. 

• Confidence supporting people on a one-to-one basis. 

• Experience of / ability to facilitate peer support groups and training. 

• Clear communication and good interpersonal skills  

• Efficient organisation and time management skills 

• Developed IT skills, with experience using databases and communication platforms. 

Salary: £27,140 per annum for 4 days (28 hours) per week or £33,926 per annum 5 days (35 hours) per week

Contractually this role is London-based.

Contract: Permanent, either part time of 4 days (28 hours) per week or full time (35 hours per week) options available.

As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

Key Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Psychologist with forensic psychology experience to join our clinical team, supporting a specialist service based in Croydon. The service operates within a 27-bed residential facility that cares for individuals with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnoses. As a key member of the clinical team, you will provide evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions, focusing on the rehabilitation and reintegration of residents with complex mental health and forensic backgrounds.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with mental health professionals, including those with forensic expertise, allowing you to make a significant impact on service development. You will also play a vital role in driving clinical improvements and contributing to the strategic direction of our forensic mental health services.

Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth clinical assessments, designing tailored intervention plans, and offering specialist psychological supervision and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality, therapeutic support. You will be instrumental in shaping the clinical care of individuals with complex presentations, including those with forensic histories, mental health challenges, and behavioural disorders. 

Penrose Croydon: Our Croydon facility offers a psychologically informed environment across four distinct sites, providing medium and low-support forensic mental health services to men and women. These services are designed to support residents' rehabilitation and aid their successful reintegration into the community. The job holder will work across different sites in the South London area, offering flexibility and the opportunity to engage with a variety of services and residents in need of support.

Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on service needs. There may be opportunities for remote work, depending on service requirements. 

Salary: NHS Equivalent Band 8A

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a motivated, clinically driven professional who can take leadership in creating and sustaining a positive, psychologically informed environment. You will be confident in delivering complex psychological assessments, developing therapeutic frameworks, and providing clinical supervision to the wider team. Your experience as a Forensic Psychologist will include working with individuals presenting challenging behaviours and mental health issues within forensic or high-risk settings. • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Applied Psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the BPD (or equivalent awarding body)
• HCPC registration as an applied Psychologist 
• Previous experience working as a qualified forensic psychologist, including working with people with complex backgrounds/needs and a good understanding of the sector
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link to different behaviours and engagement
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation is the international charity that drives and encourages the Award’s growth, access and impact across the globe. Working in partnership with organisations and governing bodies, we oversee the licensing of Award operators – including schools, youth groups, employers and custodial institutions. 

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the Senior Operations Manager and the Bid Manager to help develop and implement monitoring and reporting processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities.

To be successful in the role, you must have excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, including experience in sampling techniques and the use of computer software in support of monitoring, reporting and statistical analysis; demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills, and ideally have experience working with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds. This role will also work closely with colleagues from the Operations, Communications and Development teams to ensure accurate information is delivered to key stakeholders.

The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration for its own estate. For this reason CCT has been contracted to deliver a programme of work for Historic Chapels Trust (HCT). HCT owns and cares for 20 of the most significant Nonconformist and Catholic chapels no longer in regular use by their congregations, all listed at Grade I and Grade II*.  Key to the project is management of the assets, funded by the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) through their Cultural Assets Fund (CAF).

As a member of CCT’s national Conservation team you will be the main point of contact for all chapel maintenance related issues, liaising closely with contractors, local groups and volunteers. Alongside the Conservation Projects Manager for Chapels you will deliver the maintenance programme, including regulatory and legal compliance, as well as deal with utilities and insurance of chapels. 10 of the chapels are in our North region, 6 in our West region and 4 are in our South East region.

You will have previous experience in the field of historic buildings maintenance, repair or property management. You will be an effective communicator, be able to plan and deliver your own workload and also work as part of a team. As you’ll be working at chapels throughout England it is essential you have a full driving licence.

What you’ll be working on:

You'll be maintaining excellent stewardship to nurture and grow our supporters across a range of income streams

You'll be acting as a first point of contact for a wide range of supporters and enquirers and maintaining excellent stewardship to nurture and grow our donorbase.

You'll be managing and improving resources to support fundraising including t-shirts, posters, flyers, donation boxes and fundraising packs.

You'll be liaising with the communications team to create promotional materials for the website and social channels to increase fundraising engagement.

You'll be working alongside the fundraising team and communications team to deliver fundraising campaigns.

You'll be managing a number of external accounts to maximise event fundraising including Run for Charity, Enthuse and Discover Adventure.

You'll also be managing accounts to support in-memory donations and legacies and enhancing opportunities for growing these income streams.

This job is for you if:

You are passionate about creating a better world for people living with severe mental health conditions.

You have at least 2 years’ experience of fundraising ideally in individual giving or community fundraising.

You have excellent written and verbal skills – with experience of writing compelling copy and building diverse strong relationships.

You have excellent project management and time management skills.

You have experience of delivering against targets.

You are comfortable working with minimal supervision in a remote environment.

You have a sound understanding of the principles of fundraising including ethical fundraising and GDPR compliance.

Smart Works is a dynamic, high profile and fast-growing UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for success at their job interview. We empower each woman by giving her the clothes and the confidence she needs to succeed. After visiting Smart Works, 63% of clients secure a job within a month, gaining financial independence and transforming their lives.

The Smart Works service is currently delivered in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Reading and Leeds, with new centres in Bristol and Liverpool due to open in 2025. In April 2022, Smart Works launched a new Three-Year Plan that will see the charity double the number of women helped annually from 5,000 to 10,000 women a year. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a thoughtful and dedicated leader to oversee the delivery of the Smart Works service across the UK, ensuring that the charity remains on track to achieve our current growth ambitions, and to also play a key role in leading delivery of the service as we move into our next strategic plan.

The Head of Programmes will drive innovation, build impactful partnerships with referral organisations and enable excellent decision making across all centres. The Head of Programmes will be the guardian of the Smart Works service as the charity grows, ensuring decision-making across the charity is always client-centric and every client has the best possible chance of job success.

The Head of Programmes will oversee the opening of new Smart Works centres. Project managing the opening of new centres will require exceptional people management and an ability to balance important small details, with an awareness of the bigger picture and wider strategy.

The Head of Programmes will also be responsible for leading org-wide projects focused on quality, that will allow Smart Works to ensure our offer continues to improve, so that more of our clients can move into employment.

This is an important leadership role within the charity, with the Head of Programmes regularly sharing insights and ideas with senior decision makers. They will provide valuable insight into the Smart Works service and trends within the wider employability support landscape.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be based at one of our London centres, and will travel to other Smart Works centres across the UK when needed. There may be occasional evening and weekend work as the successful candidate will be part of the wider centre team, supporting with networking and other key events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Programmes & Operations, the successful candidate will lead on a range of activities, including:

• Ensure a high quality, consistent service is delivered across the UK (both in-person and virtually).
• Drive innovation and support pilot projects that will enable the charity to evolve, improve and help more unemployed women secure work.
• Identify opportunities for digitisation of the service, to streamline our processes and allow us to grow our impact.  
• Increase awareness of Smart Works by proactively identifying and nurturing partnerships with organisations who have the potential to refer to multiple Smart Works centres.
• Project manage the opening of new Smart Works centres, drawing on expertise of other staff across the Smart Works team to ensure the centre is set-up for success.
• Visit all centres across the UK to meet service delivery staff and understand opportunities for development and improvement.
• Supported by the Head of Data & Impact, track progress against KPIs, identify areas for development and, when needed, work closely with relevant staff to address shortfalls.
• Keep up to date with emerging trends within the employability support landscape, sharing relevant insights with the Director of Programmes & Operations and other relevant stakeholders.
• Line Management of staff within the Group Operations team.
• Champion inclusivity and ensure the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion strategy is woven into the day-to-day delivery of the Smart Works service and service delivery decision making.

• Substantial experience delivering and leading charitable programmes, or comparative work, preferably on a national scale.
• Demonstrable experience of managing projects, driving innovation and implementing new initiatives, with experience delivering digital solutions.
• Proven track record of writing and delivering strategic plans.
• Proven track record of setting and monitoring targets and KPIs.
• Excellent relationship building skills, preferably with experience working across split sites.
• Experience working within employability support is desirable but not essential.
• Detailed understanding of safeguarding requirements for a charity like Smart Works.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Passion and commitment to making the Smart Works programmes the best they can be.

BENEFITS, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS

• Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
