Community Connect is a well-established Social Prescribing service and you will empower and support residents to access charities, community organisations and groups to enable them to improve their own health & wellbeing. You will work closely with local organisations and healthcare professionals to continue to develop the project and provide the best service to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for incoming resident referrals. You will meet with the resident, understand their needs and what matters to them to develop a personalised action plan to provide relevant support.
  
  
• Be responsible for referring patients to onward voluntary and community groups for continuing support to their health and wellbeing.
  
  
• Provide ongoing support to the resident for approximately four sessions, which could vary from follow-up phone calls or attending appointments with the resident, centred around what is best for the resident. 

• Be responsible for developing exit strategies and ensuring residents are receiving appropriate support, and aware of the right services before discharge.
  
  
• Actively feedback key themes and insight to ensure continuing development and support of Bexley’s Voluntary Sector.
  
  
• To assist in maintaining the database of local services and activities in Bexley.
  
  
• Meet residents in a variety of locations including community locations in Bexley and Bexley GP Practices.
  
  
• To provide regular updates and reports on caseload management, ensuring that the CRM system is kept sufficiently up-to-date and records all information accurately.
  
  
• Work in partnership with GP Surgeries, including providing patient updates, regular outreach sessions and attending multi-disciplinary meetings.
  
  
• Be a champion of Social Prescribing, and the voluntary sector, locally, regionally, and nationally.

These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services. It is envisaged that this post will be community based but this will be regularly reviewed.

About Victoria Hall Harrow

The Victoria Hall Harrow charity started in 1888, with the aim of building a high quality venue for the people of Harrow to come together and to build community. Since then our venue Victoria Hall has been rebuilt twice, most recently reopening to the public in Summer 2021. We also created a new charity some years back (a CIO), transferring the assets of the old charity over. For this reason our Charity Commission listing below is not representative of our current financial position and our assets. 

For around 140 years Victoria Hall has provided space for rent to local residents and groups. It has been used for every possible purpose - parties, events, activities, conferences and much more. 

More recently the trustee board have embarked on a renewed strategy process, and we are now relaunching the charity as a partnership-first community centre, that identifies local needs and uses our assets to best meet those needs, working with a wide range of partners to serve the local diverse communities. 

In June 2024 we agreed our new Vision and Mission. We are still now working through the overall draft of our strategy, which we will be happy to share with you as soon as it is ready in 1st draft form.

Role Summary

As our first CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Victoria Hall. You will create effective and impactful partnerships with local residents, community groups and charities, plus businesses and the statutory sector, to meet the needs identified.

About Home-Start:

We are a community-based charity with 30 years’ experience of supporting local families with children under the age of 5. We offer our combination of home-visiting, counselling and group support to families across Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere districts. By offering parents the support and guidance they need when their children are young, we can prevent crisis and ensure children have the best possible start in life. The role:
As a Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer, you will play a vital role in helping our charity manage and develop relationships with our donors, supporters and our existing key relationships, whilst identifying and creating new relationships in our local areas to garner support and promote our services.

• You will be responsible for delivering activity to maximise fundraising from our community, including schools, individuals, local businesses and community groups. You will proactively recruit, grow and nurture supporters, empowering them to manage their own fundraising activities.
• You will manage our annual challenge event programme from supporter engagement, assisting fundraisers journey and utilising tools to maximise supporter’s impact.

• You will also be involved in the updating of our website, working with the Business Support Officer and volunteers to ensure our website remains the best tool to advertise what we do.
• Creating and nurturing a small group of fundraising support volunteers to help facilitate events and share our story in the community.

About The British Hen Welfare Trust

Founded nearly 20 years ago by Jane Howorth MBE, the British Hen Welfare Trust is a national hen welfare charity which rehomes over 60,000 hens a year around the UK. Based in mid Devon, and affectionately referred to as Hen Central, the charity works collaboratively with the industry, public, and many national stakeholders to improve hen welfare and raise awareness of hens around the globe. In addition to rehoming hens, our work extends further to education, mental wellbeing, nutritional campaigns, and global veterinary initiatives. We are a friendly and supportive team of 15 and offer a flexible approach to work, the majority of the team are home-based with the option to work in Hen Central also.

About the role

This is a very exciting time to join the team, with the imminent rehoming of the millionth hen and the national coverage this presents, you will have the opportunity to make this role your own. You will be an enthusiastic, organised team-player who shares a passion for hen welfare and will have demonstrable community fundraising experience working in the charity sector.

The full-time role of Community Fundraiser is a new position in a recently restructured Fundraising team, working with the Head of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Corporate and Trust Fundraising Manager. This is a home-based role with regular travel to Hen Central for meetings, events and ad hoc tasks so it would be ideal for someone who is South West based. You will be responsible for developing relationships with existing and new community fundraisers on supporter-led activity and engaging them in our fun and exciting fundraising income streams such as Egg Club, Bake! for Hens' Sake! and Sponsor a Hen to meet objectives and income targets.

Main Purpose of Job:

The purpose of this exciting new role is to raise community fundraising income by building and developing relationships with key community fundraisers, community groups, fundraising volunteers, schools and community stakeholders. As the main lead in the charity for community fundraising, you will encourage, motivate and promote the work of our dedicated and loyal community fundraisers on their varied and wide-ranging fundraising endeavours to maximise income and support of the BHWT.

You will also take responsibility for our established community fundraising streams unique to the charity; Bake for Hens’ Sake!, Egg Club and Sponsor a Hen, ensuring we spread our message far and wide and recruit new supporters to help hens.

Main responsibilities:

1. To grow and develop community fundraising income working with key fundraisers and community groups in the BHWT audience.

3. To project manage and develop our key community fundraising income streams; Bake for Hens’ Sake!, Egg Club and Sponsor a Hen working closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues to actively promote and share stories to thank and encourage new supporters to sign up.

4. To act as the charity’s main lead for all Community Fundraising related activities and respond to and/or direct all incoming Fundraising enquiries where appropriate.

5. To work with the Head of Fundraising to develop a calendar of supporter-led running events in 2025 and beyond, ensuring places are promoted and that prospective runners are well supported and managed in order to reach individual targets.

6. To work proactively with Marketing and Communications colleagues and provide compelling and engaging content for use in communication channels including the BHWT’s supporter magazine and social media channels to encourage supporters to fundraise for hens and thank/acknowledge.

7. To manage and facilitate communications effectively across key community fundraising streams to aid retention and secure future support e.g. the quarterly newsletter to Egg Club and regular updates to the Sponsor a Hen audiences.

8. To provide monthly reports to the Head of Fundraising in all areas of Community Fundraising.

9. To administer the various elements of the fundraising streams e.g. sending out fundraising packs and thank you letters.

10. To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including GDPR and data protection.

11. To maintain accurate records on SharePoint and Salesforce.

12. To provide support to other areas of fundraising where appropriate and undertake ad hoc tasks from time to time as required within the charity.

13. To attend events on behalf of the charity from time to time.

Post Summary 

Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation.  This role is best suited to an experienced fundraiser who is confident in managing multiple streams of income and a small team. We welcome applications from candidates with diverse professional backgrounds, but you need to have worked in a fundraising management role before.

We are currently implementing a pay grading system at Free Tibet, offering increases with each year of service. The salary for this position starts at up to £45,000 based on the successful candidate’s experience.

Location

Our main office is in Brixton, south London. We encourage applications from candidates across the UK and are willing to discuss hybrid working, but ideally the successful candidate would be able to travel to the office at least one day per week. Some evening availability is also required for quarterly board meetings, which are carried out online. Job description

Fundraising

• Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.

• Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.

• Lead on the recruitment and retention of donors, especially Major Donors, and redevelop supporter journeys and stewardship programs. 

• Evaluate new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation, especially corporate and challenge events / community fundraising. 

• Impact reporting of fundraising activity and the performance of quarterly appeals, with a view to improve internal processes for greater income innovation and ROI.

• Liaise with the Free Tibet Campaigns & Research Teams to ensure that campaigning, digital and fundraising activities are seamlessly coordinated.

• Managing relationships with third party agencies, like mailing services and digital mobilisation agencies, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

• Ensure that our new Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, Raiser’s Edge NXT, is used effectively and to its full potential.

About the role:

Victim Support have been successful in securing funding for the delivery of Drive. Drive is an innovative national framework that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children affected by domestic abuse by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. This involves the identification and targeting of high risk/high harm perpetrators and combines case management with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

We are looking for a case manager who will work with approximately 31 perpetrators per year. This role is based from our Blackpool Office, delivering a service that covers Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, Lancaster and surrounding areas therefore you will need to hold a full driving license and have access to a car. You will be eligible to apply for Hybrid working (2 days per week from home) after successful completion of your probation. As a Drive Case Manager, you will be:

• Providing intensive case management on a one to one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified as high risk at MARAC to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services.
• Working collabertively with existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plan to address identified needs and risks and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours. Throughout the intervention the Case Manager will work closely with the IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes for all parties involved.

You will need: -

• An understanding of domestic abuse, risk assessment and risk management including experience of working with victims and/or perpetrators of domestic abuse, those with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
• The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop multi-agency responses to support and/or disrupt perpetrators in order to reduce the harm they pose to victims.

This role will support the development of a community hub attached to our charity retail “ReStore” in Romford—the first of its kind in the UK. Beyond being a retail space, our ReStore aims to become a community hub offering additional targeted activities and services to those most vulnerable to housing insecurity. SALARY: £33k-£45k dependent on experience + London Allowance

THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading the London team’s overall fundraising strategy and activities. The role requires the postholder to motivate and support their team, and ensure regional and individual fundraising targets are met, in alignment with Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy. This position involves bringing new fundraising opportunities as well as enhancing relationships with existing supporters and donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Islamic Help’s objectives and growth plans.
• Identify and prioritise key fundraising programmes and initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Fundraising.
• Lead the fundraising team, providing direction, support, and professional development to ensure high performance and achievement of targets.
• Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives such as tours, treks, lectures, and dinners.
• Innovate and introduce new fundraising approaches and techniques to enhance donor engagement and increase revenue.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and key stakeholders to secure funding and support.
• Develop tailored proposals and presentations for high-value donors and strategic partners.
• Ensure consistent communication and follow-up with donors, providing regular updates and impact reports.
• Foster a positive and motivating environment for volunteers, recognising and rewarding their contributions.
• Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Maintain accurate records of fundraising income, pledges, and donor interactions.
• Prepare detailed reports on fundraising performance, including financial outcomes and impact metrics.
• Identify and establish local, national, and international partnerships for joint fundraising initiatives.
• Expand Islamic Help’s capabilities through strategic collaborations, increasing access to expertise, skills, and donor bases.
• Represent Islamic Help at various external events and meetings, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
• Uphold and promote the values and mission of Islamic Help in all professional interactions.
• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Continuously improve fundraising processes and practices based on industry best practices and feedback.
• Maintain personal and team health and safety standards, following organisational policies.
• Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, participating in training workshops and seminars as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your line manager that are appropriate to your role within the organisation.
