We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Health Information to join us to provide strategic oversight and management of Cancer Research UK's (CRUK) health information to the public, covering cancer prevention, screening and diagnosis. The team is one of a number at CRUK that reviews and synthesises evidence, differing in terms of their audience focus and/or topic focus. The successful candidate will need to work closely with their peers to ensure that CRUK has the maximum impact across all their audiences to improve cancer outcomes.
About the team
The Health Information team work to inform and engage the public with information on cancer prevention, early diagnosis and screening. We do this using evidence and look for opportunities to reach those who need it most. We use our knowledge and communications expertise to guide and shape activity across the charity including policy, partnerships and fundraising.
What will I be doing?
Oversee the provision of high quality, accessible and evidence-based health information including maintaining a good understanding of best practice
Provide strategic direction for CRUK's health information priority topics to maximise impact across public facing channels including but not limited to health marketing, communications and partnerships
Act as a senior subject matter expert on health information and use of evidence, advising senior internal and external stakeholders (Executive Board, other charities, researchers)
Act as a senior media spokesperson and provide expert sign-off for health information content used in a range of external channels (including press and policy influencing)
Provide functional leadership to the health information team, ensuring that their time is prioritised effectively to focus on the areas of greatest impact - including balancing proactive workload and support for other teams.
Responsible for managing the team budgets to ensure activity and services are delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Build effective relationships with other evidence teams and policy to minimise duplication of effort, ensure consistency of messaging, and maximise our impact on a range of topics in support of CRUK and PIC's wider influencing and engagement strategy
What skills are we looking for?
Excellent judgement of sound research methods, ability to critically appraise qualitative and quantitative evidence and research
Experience in translation of evidence into targeted, relevant and accessible public information
A good understanding of either cancer prevention or early detection with the ability to develop expertise in both of these areas
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team, and prioritise workload in a complex matrix environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to sign off health information positions and represent this internally and externally
Experience of setting strategies and overall team direction that align with department and organisation objectives
Ability to balance risks and opportunities and advise peers and senior stakeholders appropriately in decision making.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus and instil confidence and credibility of advice and decision making with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to constructively challenge and push back, whilst maintaining good working relationships
Proven understanding of digital technologies used in content and marketing and the ability to keep abreast of the digital landscape, innovation and application of new initiatives, tools and techniques
Experience of setting and managing budgets.

About the role
The Senior Case Worker will work as part of the SPOT Navigator team based alongside the Southwark SPOT Street Outreach team. The aim is to support a known cohort of clients who are stuck within the cycles of homeless and ill-health and have not been able to sustain a stable life outside of this.
This will be achieved through strength-based assessment, using creative engagement techniques and co-producing action plans aimed at linking clients with services and community groups. Your work will improve health outcomes for clients and promote harm reduction by working alongside specialist partner agencies. You will be working with clients on the streets in an outreach capacity or in various types of accommodation.
In this role you will:
- Work in partnership with local authorities, accommodation services, statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure that clients transition away from the streets and into the appropriate accommodation with the correct support in place.
- Manage a caseload of clients experiencing multiple disadvantage who may not have stayed in stable accommodation for long periods of time.
- Have a great opportunity to assist people to change their lives meaningfully for the better.
In this non-shift role, you will work mainly within normal office hours Monday – Friday, however, on occasion you may be asked to work flexibly and conduct early or late shifts starting at 6am or ending at 3am. For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Main purpose of the role:
The Deputy Service Coordinator splits their time between the office organising rotas, liaising with families, social services, and health care professionals, and providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of direct support, as well as one weekend a month on the rota, depending on the needs of the service.
The role requires the postholder to take responsibility for being on call between the leadership team. There is an additional payment for on-call duty.
You will deputise for and support the Service Coordinator in leading and managing a community group comprising of a range of services for people with a learning disability and a team of support assistants.

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by Social Finance in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).
The Workforce Lead will provide specialist support to services embarking on recruitment campaigns, monitor their effectiveness and share learning. They will also provide hands-on support for recruitment efforts and training. This will vary according to the service need, but could include headhunting, sifting CVs, preparing for interviews, shortlisting and training.
The opportunity
The Workforce Leads will play a crucial role in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the IPS Workforce within their designated regions. They will support the scale up of the IPS workforce by ensuring high-quality recruitment processes, comprehensive training programs, and effective onboarding practices. The Workforce Leads will work closely with IPS Grow Regional Managers, local and national stakeholders, including NHS services, to recruit the IPS workforce needed to achieve high levels of employment outcomes for IPS clients.

We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.
The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.
The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.

About this key role
As our specialist worker you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker, and supporting the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. - Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and establishing links to further the aims of a project.
