Community Fundraising Manager Jobs

As the Trusts, Foundations and Grants Senior Manager you will provide strategic leadership in trusts and foundations fundraising and grants management to make our work more impactful and effective. You’ll be developing, growing, and managing strategies, networks and leading technical proposal-writing to increase funding from mid-size trusts, foundations and other donors. Alongside, you will manage All We Can’s grants to partners, including restricted and unrestricted funding, overseeing the Programmes and Partnerships (PPT) grant budget and will manage grants received by All We Can, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, including reporting and financial oversight.

You’ll be able to shape our trust and foundations strategy and put it in practice to raise money to make a difference to our partners locally led work. You’ll join small and passionate team of people on the journey of decolonising international aid and working in partnership approach. Your work will be crucial to growing our income and developing our work.

To be successful in this role, you will:

1. Be an experienced fundraiser, with a strong track record of raising funds from large technical trusts and foundations who also brings a network of strong and established relationships with relevant trusts and foundations.
2. Have passion for locally- led development
3. Have a strategic mindset, with experience developing a strategy for unrestricted and restricted funding that meets the needs of the applicant organisation and needs and capacity of partners who will receive grants through successful proposals. 
4. Have experience pulling together teams of technical experts from within the organisation and relevant partner co-applicants, and leading and managing these teams to design and draft winning proposals, leveraging the skills of various team members as needed. 
5. Have proven experience managing a range of grants (development and/or emergency grants), including managing partner agreements and compliance, interfacing with partners, managing databases as well as guiding others to use databases.
6. Have ability to and passion for contributing to the organisation culture.

This key role will work across the whole fundraising team with varied tasks and projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Contribute to CALM’s Fundraising Revenue targets, through excellent administration and compliance to fundraising practises.

• Supporting Fundraising team with general administrative tasks that improve supporter experience and contribute to revenue targets.
• Coordinate some supporter stewardship tasks and emails.
• Support the delivery of regular Stewardship events, with direction.
• Carry our regular, financial and administrative processes to a high standard with the Salesforce CRM
• Identifying and implementing ways to reduce admin time for the fundraising team.
• Work with the Fundraising team to update and maintain fundraising documentation, processes and procedures.
• Ensure key Fundraising templates are kept up to date, including: response templates, Thank you letters, certificates, letters of authority.
• With direction, carry out updates when needed, to core email supporter journeys across all Fundraising streams.
• Ensure key documents are accessible to the team, well maintained and up to date.
• Support on the maintenance and creation of relevant pages on the CALM website.
• Support the Fundraising and Marcomms teams to identify supporters we can profile and champion by regularly checking our social media platforms
• Respond to fundraising enquiries and maintain records in Salesforce.
• Support the Head of Public Fundraising with month end financial processes.
• Support the Fundraising Director with setting up team meetings and away days.
• With guidance, prepare data for uploading into CRM Salesforce.
• Identify and code income across fundraising platforms.
• Support the teams with finding cost effective travel and hotels to support event delivery.
• Work with the Product team to maintain the supporter merchandise online portal, reporting on sales of merchandise and managing kit restock and reordering processes across fundraising.
• Liaise with suppliers to arrange for quotes and ordering for new materials.
• Run daily checks of the KIT site to ensure order fulfilment can be carried out.

The Role

About the Role

Location & Contract: This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term role with a hybrid working model based in Reading, with travel required to our Reading hub at least once a month.

The Telefundraising Executive role sits within the Mass Fundraising team, who are responsible for individual giving, legacies, in-memory giving, third party challenge events, and owned fundraising products and events. The Mass Fundraising team play a vital role in contributing to our organisational strategic goal of developing sustainable sources of income.

The Telefundraising Executive is responsible for calling and connecting with Make-A-Wish supporters to increase engagement levels, and to increase income for Make-A-Wish by inspiring our current supporters to give again, increase their giving, or support us in other ways.

This role has been set up to support our ambitious plans for growing income so we can substantially increase the number of wishes we are able to grant each year. Your role will be pivotal in helping us to connect with and inspire our existing and new donors to support this mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Contacting existing, potential and lapsed supporters via telephone to promote the charity’s values and beliefs, and to ask for financial or non-financial support as defined by the campaign brief and script.
• Keeping supporters informed of current campaigns and projects, and explaining how they can make a difference. This could include welcome calling for new donors, stewardship and thank you calling for existing donors, upgrade conversion for regular/repeat donors, reactivation calling for lapsed donors, or conversion calling to other Make-A-Wish fundraising offers.
• Acting as the voice of Make-A-Wish to our existing supporters, ensuring all interactions uphold our brand values and proactively promote our mission to grant a wish to every eligible child.
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters, and inspiring new supporters to raise money.
• Continually monitoring call outcomes, capturing and sharing feedback and complaints with the Mass Fundraising Manager, and spotting opportunities for performance improvement across campaigns.
• Continually monitor attrition trends and supporter feedback to present to the Mass Fundraising team and the wider organisation

About the role

This is a really exciting time to be joining the award-winning Asda Tickled Pink team in a role which is of huge importance to the delivery of the partnership. 2025 and 2026 will be monumental, as we celebrate one of the biggest and longest standing partnerships in the sector, marking £100m raised by 2025 and going big to celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2026. This partnership allows us to go above and beyond for people affected by breast cancer, and this role is a key part of that.

The role sits within the corporate partnerships team, specifically the Asda team, working alongside the head of Asda partnership and the Asda partnership officer.

As the day-to-day contact leading on the partnership’s large scale and multifaceted activations, you’re responsible for the £5m annual target. From ideation to delivery, you’re involved at every stage. This role also has increased capacity to innovate, looking at new initiatives enabling us to achieve and exceed partnership KPIs.

You’ll manage the income and expenditure budgets and restricted funding reporting of the partnership. Sharing updates, flagging risks and opportunities and proposing reforecasts for discussion with the head of Asda partnership.

This role will also manage the Asda partnership officer and therefore responsible for objective setting, personal development and ensuring partnership deliverables for this role are met.

We’re looking for someone excited to take on a big partnership with the drive to deliver first class account management, matched with experience of managing large scale, and impactful strategic partnerships.

You can confidently and proactively manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You have experience in delivering partnership activations from fundraising to brand campaigns, managing multiple projects and stakeholders at any 1 time. You’ve a proven track record in efficiently managing budgets, reporting impact, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance in all you do, and you’ll have the experience or motivation to oversee the output and development of a direct line report too.

Main purpose and scope of the role

This is a pivotal leadership role within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Medical Detection Dogs (MDD), combining strategic oversight with hands-on operational involvement. The role requires a proactive leader who can inspire a high-performing fundraising team while actively engaging in day-to-day fundraising activities.

As Head of Fundraising, you will lead the development and delivery of MDD’s income generation strategies across multiple streams. This includes rolling up your sleeves to participate in operational fundraising activities, engaging with supporters directly, and ensuring that established initiatives and campaigns are optimised and expanded.

Your ability to work collaboratively across the charity, combined with a strong focus on achieving results, will ensure that MDD continues to generate the income required to fund its vital work throughout the UK.

Strategic leadership and SLT contribution

• Provide strategic direction for all fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with MDD’s overall mission and objectives.
• Contribute to SLT discussions and charity-wide strategic initiatives, offering operational insights and aligning fundraising efforts with broader organisational goals.
• Represent the fundraising function at Board meetings, providing updates on performance, opportunities, and risks.

Operational hands-on involvement

• Actively participate in delivering key activities, such as "Name a Puppy," and ensure their growth and success.
• Develop and maintain relationships with supporters, attending community events, presenting to groups, and engaging with donors to build loyalty and long-term support.
• Work with both the fundraising team and with colleagues across MDDm to create engaging campaigns and donor propositions that drive income.
• Be a visible, approachable leader who works alongside the team in operational activities, fostering a “lead by example” ethos.

Income stream development

• Drive the growth of established income streams, including individual giving, community and events fundraising, corporate partnerships,philanthropic giving (trusts and major donors) and legacy giving.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Research and Development

• Work with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to scope and develop a new strategic programme to secure high-value income-generating charitable partnerships to help reach more young people
• Work with key corporates to inspire them and better understand the kind of offer that might be attractive to them
• Identify and research opportunities to build new six-figure, multi-year partnerships with corporates to support targeted Spear Centres around the UK

Pitching

• Develop tailored partnership proposals for each prospective corporates, including volunteer engagement opportunities and funding requests
• Provide specific funding projects, budgets and other financial information as required
• Meet with individual potential partners to present and promote the overall work of Resurgo and the benefits of corporate partnerships and represent Resurgo and the team at community and industry events

Account Management

• Maintain high levels of engagement with corporate partners through meetings, regular updates and timely reports, at a level appropriate to their considerable investment.

• Assist in training and equipping the sponsored Spear Centre to take part in stewarding the corporate partnership on a long- term basis
