This 9-month maternity cover is an ideal role for someone passionate about working at the timely intersection of climate and health, confident engaging with sustainability projects and policy work, and adept at both technical institutional funding proposals and creative partnership building. This role can be based in our office in Brussels, Belgium or can be a remote working position with the successful candidate based in the EU or the UK - HCWH Europe offers a four-day work week and a range of remote working options.
A proactive, skilled relationship builder with a strong track record of proposal writing and a keen eye for detail, you will work closely with colleagues from across our programme pillars (Circular Healthcare, Climate Smart Healthcare, and Safer Pharma) to develop high quality funding proposals and reports for institutional and philanthropic donors, with a particular focus on both European Commission funding and the building of new relationships with trusts and foundations.
You’ll also have the unique opportunity to contribute to HCWH Europe’s strategic planning process as we develop our next organisational strategy in 2025.

Key information:

Job Purpose
To maximise income for Village Water’s work from corporates (UK and International) & to develop and manage your own portfolio of existing corporates and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on networking, delivering compelling pitches to corporates, organise and support corporate fundraising events, preparing high-quality funding applications and reports, providing exceptional account management, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
Corporate Fundraising

Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities.

Attend and contribute to networking events, while actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors.

Identify and pursue corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships.

Establish and nurture relationships with Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) to unlock new support avenues.

Work closely with colleagues to develop compelling proposals and reports that effectively communicate the organisation's impact and funding needs.

Coordinate with monitoring and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, adhering to grant conditions and budget requirements.

Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up.

Organise pop-up events for and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility.

Support fundraising team with social media content ideas that highlight our activities and showcases the impact.

Skills and experience:

Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000.

About the role
Breast Cancer Now are excited to recruit the new role of fundraising compliance officer to support its growing fundraising ambitions. As our fundraising compliance officer, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fundraising and marketing activities meet the highest standards in an ever-changing regulatory landscape, to mitigate potential risks for the charity and to maintain the trust of our supporters.
The varied role will work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues from across the charity. No day will feel the same, as you provide expert advice and assurance on a diverse range of fundraising products and marketing communications, this includes TV ads, prize competitions, social lotteries, and direct marketing campaigns. The role will work closely with individual giving team and our professional fundraising agencies to assure we are meeting our compliance commitments.
The successful candidate will also support the compliance team as it continues to develop the culture and maturity in fundraising compliance across the charity, with continuous improvement to our training, resources, process, communication and reporting.
About you
The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will have some prior understanding of charity fundraising and the needs of working in an assurance role, but training can be provided. Prior knowledge some data protection legislation and fundraising regulations would also be beneficial, such as the data protection act, fundraising code of practice, CAP code, gambling commission code, and HMRC gift aid rules. You will also be self-motivated and have an eagerness to learn and develop in line with the ever-changing regulatory landscape and the charities needs and goals.
Ideal attributes of a candidate include an analytical mind, with the ability to review information, ask questions and make informed decisions to support the charity to meet its objectives, whilst also mitigating unnecessary risk.
You will be an approachable, confident and clear communicator, that can adapt your communication stye to a verity of audiences in order to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner, that is both educational and builds productive relationships with colleagues.
Excellent organisation and IT skills are also essential tools of a potential candidate, as the role will require effective task prioritisation to manage an active schedule, record management of compliance registers and folders, plus the analysis and production of detailed guidance procedures and reports.

You will lead Woman’s Trust income generation ensuring adequate income to sustain and grow the organisation, increasing its income from £1.3 Million to £3 Million in the next 3 years. While raising funds from multiple income streams, focus growths areas will be statutory and Trust and foundation funding securing six-figure, multiple-year grants and contracts. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign our aims aligned to our strategic priorities.
You will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and the funding pipeline; ensure the maintenance and development of excellent relationships with current and new funders, stewarding grants and reporting back; review, update and develop service budgets; oversee the submission or coordination of quality bids, approaches, and events.
As a member of the senior leadership team, this post will work cross departmentally and will contribute to the overall strategy of Woman’s Trust, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. You will lead and line manage the Senior Trust and Foundation Manager and Fundraising Officer. You will deliver a direct income target for each year, with a focus on the development and tendering of statutory commissioning.
Hours: 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered).
Location: Office based with remote working available – minimum of 50% of working hours in Woman’s Trust Office, Edgware Road/Paddington, NW1.

About the Role:
As our Supplier Partnerships Manager, you will manage the Supplier Partnerships sub-team, reporting into the Supporter Experience & Operations Lead. The Supplier Partnerships Team plays a central role in supporting our fundraising teams to maximise supporter engagement through the selection and performance management of our key external service partners. This team are a centre of subject expertise and will also ensure we have well defined and consistently applied approaches to supplier management across the Mass Engagement department.
In this role, you will actively manage a small portfolio of strategic fundraising service suppliers, ensuring contractual requirements are met, as well as defining and monitoring service levels (SLAs) to ensure performance is maintained.
You’ll also:
- Effectively lead, manage, and motivate the Supplier Partnerships team, ensuring each member of the team makes a full and effective contribution to the organisation
- Maintain a network of key stakeholders within WaterAid, ensuring that their needs and responsibilities relating to supplier management are understood
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement or efficiency gains where these contribute to the overall supporter experience
- Act as the subject matter expert for supplier management, promoting and championing best practice within the wider organisation, providing specialist advice and training as required
- Maintain a level of awareness of external trends and best practice in supplier operations and procurement, ensuring that WaterAid are at the leading edge in terms of our services and standards
- Work with the Supporter Experience and Operations Lead in developing detailed budgets, forecasts, and plans
About You:
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Excellent supplier management / relationship management, ideally in a charity fundraising environment
- Successful experience of people management, coaching, training, and personal development
- Demonstrable experience of using / designing KPIs, SLAs and other performance metrics to drive process and service quality improvements
- Strong stakeholder relationship management (up to senior management), able to work collaboratively to build positive and effective working relationships across teams
- Ability to identify problems, undertake analysis and deliver potential solutions through influencing and negotiating with others
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- A good understanding of fundraising regulations i.e. Fundraising Code of Practice, Gift Aid and BACs (Direct Debit) regulations
- Professional qualification in supplier / service procurement or directly relevant experience

Role Summary
As Head of Fundraising and Business Development, you will be responsible for implementing an effective fundraising and income generation strategy aligned to the objectives of our organisational Strategic plan and with a strong emphasis on partnership building and relationship management.
We exist to create lasting change for those who are marginalised and vulnerable, so you will need to be driven by the passion to see lives changed and help generate income to support more of this valuable work.
You will need to work effectively and confidently as our lead for both contract tenders and renewals and charitable fundraising and be experienced in helping develop a mixed model of income generation.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with high level demonstrable experience in business development and major contract tenders, bid writing and building corporate partnerships.
You’ll be highly effective in building meaningful relationships with a wide demographic of stakeholders, from large corporates to individual donors, and will exemplify the passion and value that we carry for our service users and supporters.
You’ll need to know how to draw the best out of your team and work collaboratively across other departments, to ensure that we can continue to build on the work of the department to date and continue to strengthen Causeway’s resilience through diversification of income.
Responsibilities
Business Development Objectives
• Take the lead on Business Development for the charity by ensuring processes and procedures for supporting us to bid for and secure public sector contracts are robust and effective.
• Work with the Chief Operating Officer and relevant Head of Service on identifying and securing contractual funding opportunities.
• Develop and write tender bids to support us to secure new contracts
• Actively develop and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders and partners, with a view to achieving Causeway’s strategic objectives for income generation
Fundraising Strategy & Objectives
• Create and implement an effective Fundraising Strategy for the charity that applies the right balance of fundraising mechanisms, e.g. trusts, foundations, corporate philanthropy, events, individual giving and major donors, to achieve our organisational objectives.
• Work to established Fundraising targets and goals, considering strategic change and approach where any risk of shortfall is identified, to enable the development of charitable activities in response to established need
• Work collaboratively with the Impact and Evaluation team to ensure that all approaches for funds are underpinned and informed by our commitment to survivor voice, accurate data and performance information that demonstrates the value of our work.
• Establish clear mechanisms and strategies for converting engaged supporters and stakeholders into sustainable revenue streams
• Identify key opportunities to leverage the organisational brand and vision for the purpose of engaging with new external stakeholders/supporters
• Manage the operational activities of the fundraising team ensuring the workload of the department is effectively delivered to a high-quality standard.
• Oversee the development of Life Supply ensuring it continues to evolve and meet the needs of the survivors we support.
• Work in close collaboration with our communications team to ensure resonance and engagement with a diversity of supporters by creating and delivering impactful and compelling initiatives to maximise income from multiple audiences
• Ensure that a comprehensive, integrated and inspiring supporter journey is in place, ensuring engagement and retention of donors and embedding effective stewardship of relationships at the heart of the Fundraising and Business Development team.
• Champion diversity and inclusivity within the team, ensuring that the fundraising team and strategy give opportunity to engage supporters and donors from all backgrounds and walks of life

Management & Leadership
• Play an instrumental role as part of the Senior Management Team in ensuring the charity 3-year strategic objectives are met, and input into implementing change and organisational development
• Provide recommendations to the Board in how the charity strategically plans and prioritises fundraising activities and campaigns throughout the year, in order to meet organisational objectives
• Create and embed a fundraising culture within the team and across the organisation
• Coach and inspire your Fundraising Team, motivating them to achieve their individual and department objectives and supporting their development through formal and informal processes
Data/Reporting/Compliance
• Provide a quarterly report to the CEO/Board of Trustees on Business Development and Fundraising outcomes and performance against budgeted targets and KPIs, as well as insightful analysis into prospected income
• Track and provide detailed reporting on income, working in collaboration with the Finance Dept
• Ensure compliance with the Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator Codes of Conduct and regulations
• Ensure best practice in Fundraising protocol and procedure, acting as the leading insight and voice into societal trends and challenges in the fundraising climate, and adjust organisational approach and strategy as required, to respond to changes and opportunities

The Vacancy
The Programme Development Manager is committed to supporting colleagues and partners in programme design and development. The team also connects programmatic issues and global policy and advocacy to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground.
Saferworld’s income is secured primarily from statutory and institutional donors; however, securing funding to support our partners in conflict-affected countries and allow for more flexible programming increasingly requires a more diverse funding base. The Programme Development Manager will support efforts to identify and secure funds from statutory donors, trusts and foundations, and other non-traditional funding mechanisms.
The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes. The successful applicant will have a focus of approximately 4 countries, which will be decided based on the candidate’s experience and preference. Working closely with Country Managers/Directors, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme development processes (including taking the lead in drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies and donor engagement strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for growing institutional funding portfolios in our programmes.
The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Government (USG)/United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Additional experience in mobilising resource from trusts and foundations and other non-traditional funding mechanisms is desirable.
They will have proven skills and experience in programme management and support, successful programme design processes and bid leadership.
