Job Title: Support and Development Worker
Department: England Service Team
Reports to: Senior Support & Development Worker
Salary: £28,471 (pro rata for Part-time)
Hours: 35 hours a week over 5 days (Part-time will be considered)
Location: Home based – with travel across Teesside, County Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland and Tyne & Wear and neighbouring areas. Occasional travel across wider areas and nationally will be required.
We are looking for someone who can cover the Teeside, County Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland and Tyne & Wear area. You will be home based but will be required to attend clinics, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally.
Purpose of Job
To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership. To empower and enable members Living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England.
SHINE has just under 14,000 members with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the County Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland & Tyne & Wear area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer.
Our Little Stars project for 0–12 year olds has been established for over 3 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.
Core role
-
To provide information to individuals, families, carers affected by Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus including hard to reach communities living within your area.

To provide advice, support and guidance to enable people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to access the correct benefits to become financially stable, the right services to improve their health and well-being, and to better co-ordinate their support and independence through a variety of methods. This will include attending specialist clinics in the area to engage with them.

To refer individual members and/or their families/carers to the most appropriate source of expertise and support in Shine’s Health team and other designated leads within the organisation, or signpost to external agencies as appropriate.

To develop age-specific groups and peer support networks which will provide opportunities for people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to connect and interact, enabling social opportunities and to share experiences, support and learn from each other.

To work with and develop opportunities for Shine volunteers.
-
To contribute to the delivery of regional and national programme of events to Shine’s membership, based on identified need and interests, geographical location and age. These will be face to face and virtual events.

To provide information to professionals working with those individuals and families affected by Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus.

To raise greater awareness of Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus amongst professionals, external organisations and the general public through presentations, training and attendance at professional events.

To actively promote membership of Shine to people with the relevant conditions.

To keep clear and accurate records for monitoring and evaluation using our Salesforce database system.

To work with other service, fundraising, marketing, trust and foundations colleagues and Shine’s membership to identify and seize potential fundraising opportunities for long-term sustainability of the work.

To prepare and keep up to date a directory of relevant contacts across the area and to share relevant information with colleagues.

To undertake administrative duties as required of the role.

As Content Producer (Video), you will create high-quality videos showcasing Church Army's impactful work across the UK. You'll plan, shoot, and edit videos for social media and digital platforms, producing compelling content that supports our organisational objectives.
As part of a team of digital and creative professionals, you’ll travel to various project sites across the UK to capture stories that highlight the transformative work of Church Army.
Main Responsibilities
Planning and conducting video shoots at Church Army Project sites across the UK and Ireland.
Managing all aspects of video production, from pre-production planning, including script approval and shoot scheduling to shooting, and editing.
Operating various video production equipment and maintain technical proficiency with cameras, sound equipment and other visual production tools.
Creating engaging video content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube.
Working closely with the Content Producer (Stories) and Copywriter to ensure a unified and consistent message across all content formats.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
In-depth understanding of video production processes and techniques.

Key Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced project manager with a genuine passion and knowledge about nature and climate to lead and deliver our new WASH project.
Norton Hall is a small, but growing charity with a vibrant team based in and working with the community of Wash wood Heath, in East Birmingham. The WASH will be based at our Dolphin Women’s Centre in Ward End Park; a much valued, Green Flag accredited 54-acre public space with a Lake and the Wash Brook.
Thanks to National Lottery players, Norton Hall has received a five-year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.
The funding will be used to engage our local community in nature and climate learning activities, connecting them with the rural environment, increasing their connection to their surroundings and encouraging them to understand what it means to them. Shaped by volunteers, service users and partners, the WASH aims to see improvements in everyday lives, including food and growing skills, career opportunities, improved mental and physical health, and confidence building.
To succeed in this role, your extensive project and people management experience will ideally be rooted in environmental work and co-ordinating large-scale projects. Your interpersonal and leadership skills will enable you to develop excellent relationships with your team, partners and wider stakeholders.
You will be a self-motivated individual, who’s organisational and time management skills will keep the WASH team on track to meet milestones and ensure the project achieves its vision and objectives.

The Café forms part of a central hub, housing a daytime café for the community and an after-school Youth Café that connects vulnerable young people to positive and inspiring role-models from their community, empowering and inspiring them to become active citizens in their community. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
● Oversee the efficient daily operation of the café, ensuring high standards and excellent customer service.

The role will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, Senior Public Sector Development Managers, and a fellow Public Sector Development Manager towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. About the Role:
In this role, you will lead the successful delivery of the CRM Phase 2 project, additionally, you'll mobilise and lead the Project Team, including both internal members and external resources.
You'll also:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan and ensure all resources are secured and monitored.
- Coordinate and manage the execution of work packages, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Programme Board, highlighting key risks and issues.
- Work closely with the CRM Product Owner to understand user requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with technical and departmental leads to ensure all dependencies are addressed.
About You:
- Significant experience in leading major system implementation projects (particularly CRM solutions) for user groups exceeding 150.
- Proven management of high-performance, multi-disciplinary project teams, including third-party resources.
- Experience managing project budgets between £250k - £500k.
- Practical experience with large-scale CRM solutions like Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) and project governance frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience in implementing or enhancing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM).
- Knowledge of ETL processes using SQL/SSIS.

Through street and prison outreach, community meals, mentoring and housing, we help people rebuild their lives after some of life’s toughest experiences.
