This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with project management experience and a desire to serve churches in Southwark Diocese as part of an initiative enabling spiritual and numerical growth.
Specific projects have been identified in places across the Diocese of Southwark where there is a clear opportunity for growth and funding has been obtained from the Church of England’s Strategic Development Funding (SDF) to support these projects. This role will be key in the successful implementation of our strategy in each of these places, ensuring the plans are implemented and all strategic and operational aspects of the project are co-ordinated and monitored. The Project Manager is responsible for day to day management of the project from initial set up through to successful delivery, working closely with the Programme Manager. This will involve the implementation, co-ordination and tracking of the project plans for the projects that comprise this SDF funded initiative.
About you
- Relevant experience of managing projects in a complex environment is critical, as well as the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders from different disciplines and with differing viewpoints.
- You should have a good awareness and understanding of techniques for planning, monitoring and measuring programmes and projects, including risk management, with a proven ability to support organisational change.
- A good understanding of the structure, breadth and dynamics of the Church of England will be important, along with the desire to serve our churches and support a fruitful future.

Reporting to the Public Engagement Manager, the Public Engagement Officer will work as part of a team to deliver our mission of meaningfully involving patients and the public across Academy activities and in the way we work.
You will collaborate with colleagues across the Academy, our Fellows and our grant awardees to help deliver projects that ensure the Academy connects with patients, carers and members of the public in new and accessible ways. You will organise and evaluate programmes that feed public views into our policy advice and grants and careers programmes. The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.
We are the only HIV Nutrition specialist charity in the UK: we exist at the intersection between HIV, food poverty and social isolation. Everyone accessing our services is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified that they are experiencing crisis. Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, we help people to lead healthy, independent lives.
The Grants and Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO in order to ensure that income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of our services and activities. Taking the lead on applications to trusts and grant giving organisations, the successful candidate will also work with our fundraising working group (made up of staff, trustees and volunteers) to maximise diverse income generation strategies on a community and individual level.

Position: Grants and Fundraising Manager

Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all staff. We have an office in Caledonian Road, London, and we deliver some services in Stepney Green. We envisage this role being hybrid.

Income generation
• Research, prepare and submit high quality applications for core and project funding to Charitable Trusts and Foundations, corporate bodies and other partners as required to meet the charity’s core purpose

• Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing Trust funders, donors and other supporters of The Food Chain as appropriate

About the role:
Our Health team has an exciting opportunity for two people to join the team. One of these roles will be a permanent position focused in our North London TST team, and one fixed term appointment (12 months) to join our team in a Camden focusing on Mental Health, with an emphasis on improving the barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness when accessing health care.
As a Health Lead, your role will focus on developing and embedding SHPs health approach into the services the charity provides. It will involve working with and supporting those living within our hostels who have underlying health needs to access and maintain the health care they need. To complete initial health screening tools, create a health support profile plan for each client and to make referrals to and support them in engaging with the correct services (i.e. dentistry, podiatry). In this role you will complete health mapping and use this information to influence partnerships formed with external services to help overcome barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness.
The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality Disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients, supporting them to engage in health care support and see an improvement in their overall physical health.

- A knowledge of (or willingness to learn) about common health issues and the barriers to health access that people experiencing homelessness may encounter.

Project Manager – Community and Energy Efficiency

SOS–UK is looking for 2x new Project Managers to deliver our engagement work with a focus on our newly awarded Climate Action Fund programme – Student Energy Action for Life (SEAL).
ROLE SPECIFICS
Location: Hybrid working in London, home working in Bristol, Midlands or North.
Working patterns: 0.6FTE – 1.0FTE with typical working times between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The role includes weekly travel with early starts and late returns, and approx. 6 overnight stays a year. ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will be primarily focusing on our newly awarded Climate Action Fund programme – Student Energy Action for Life (SEAL), with opportunity to contribute towards our wider engagement programmes. SEAL has a twofold vision; to support students navigating the home energy system and to improve access to student energy efficient properties via landlord engagement and student campaigning. Across the two roles there will be the opportunity to specialise in either student engagement and advocacy or landlord engagement and support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Engage, maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including students, volunteers, students’ unions, universities, local authorities, landlords and other key organisations.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of programme resources and communications, including social media and website updates.
• Plan, design, and deliver engaging training sessions to a variety of audiences.
• Provide support for students’ union officers and other student campaigners working on housing energy efficiency campaigns, including the design and implementation of a national student home energy campaign.
• Support with the creation and management of sector wide student energy efficiency advisory groups including a home energy efficiency network, student advisory group and stakeholder advisory group.

About UKHIH
Founded in 2020, the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is an initiative hosted by Elrha, a global organisation committed to solving complex humanitarian challenges, and is funded by the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO). Our mission is to address significant humanitarian issues through rigorous research and innovative solutions. We achieve this by bringing together diverse stakeholders from both within and beyond the humanitarian sector, fostering collaboration, co-creation, and the mobilisation of resources. This approach integrates the perspectives of crisis-affected communities with the expertise of humanitarian actors, leveraging UK and global capacities to develop effective, relevant solutions.
Since its inception, UKHIH has been at the forefront of advancing humanitarian innovation through Accelerated Innovation Collaborations (AICs), which are high-impact partnerships that drive major advancements in the field via a shared strategic learning process. A key feature of these collaborations is the inclusion of researchers from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) through the UKHIH fellowship scheme, allowing for invaluable insights and strengthening local capacities. Additionally, UKHIH supports the Humanitarian Rapid Research Initiative (HRRI), which conducts real-time research on emerging crises, producing pivotal reports on issues such as ethical concerns in Afghanistan, response capacities to cholera, and the humanitarian impacts of natural disasters like the Turkey/Syria earthquake and the Pakistan floods. More recently, UKHIH has expanded its efforts to include ecosystem development within the humanitarian sector, focusing on UK capability mapping and exploring emerging technologies to tackle future challenges effectively.

Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support to women and those assigned female at birth with endometriosis, for example through our website and information leaflets, and via our local support groups, Helpline and online forum. As well as directly supporting those with endometriosis, we work to raise awareness of endometriosis amongst healthcare professionals, the public and the media; lobby for improved treatment and management; and support research.
The Communications and Campaigns team works to improve awareness of endometriosis and drive change for those affected by the disease. Our current campaigns and calls on Governments include getting menstrual wellbeing taught in schools across the UK, decreasing diagnosis times, improving rights in the workplace and improving access to treatment.
This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Head of Campaigns and Communications to raise awareness and increase the visibility of endometriosis and Endometriosis UK, and supporting campaigns that really make a difference across the UK. You will be working as part of a passionate team with a strong commitment to achieving change to help those with living with endometriosis.
You’ll be creative, resourceful and be able to create media opportunities that drive awareness and change for those with endometriosis. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive forward Endometriosis UK’s new strategy and boost our impact for the benefit of everyone affected by endometriosis
We are looking for a highly organised, pro-active and confident Communications Manager who creates opportunities to raise awareness of endometriosis with the media. You’ll be experienced in pitching stories across broadcast and print outlets, and have experience of working with case studies to share their story. You will also have a strong understanding of the UK political landscape, supporting policy and public affairs colleagues to create proactive communication opportunities to raise the profile of Endometriosis UK’s policies.
