We are recruiting an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and PA to the Senior Leadership Team who will share our passion and commitment to members of the fire and rescue services community to live healthier and happier lives.

The post holder will work at a senior level to provide effective strategic executive support to the Chief Executive and proactive administrative assistance to all members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The post can be based at one of our charity workbases (Littlehampton, Penrith, Exeter, Basingstoke) or homebased with occasional travel

This post holder is the primary point of support to the Chief Executive and directors. This is therefore a fast-paced, multi-faceted role with a number of varied and competing daily priorities to manage. The post holder will be situated at the beating heart of the senior team, enabling its effectiveness and agility.

Generally, you will:

• Provide strategic executive support to the Chief Executive
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team
• Provide exceptional stakeholder correspondence and engagement internally and externally

To be successful in this role, you need relevant experience:

• Providing executive, secretarial and/or administrative support at a senior level in an organisation of similar breadth and scope and in a pacey, dynamic and rapidly changing environment
• Managing multiple diaries
• Managing events and/or projects
• Researching, synthesising and summarising complex information for the purpose of briefing an executive
• Drafting sensitive correspondence to high-profile and/or key stakeholders
• Administering board or committee meetings

This is a 6-month role initially because of funding secured but we hope to be able to extend this, as community-led research is a key aspect of Action Hampshire's work.

Key tasks include (see job description for a full list of tasks):

• Lead on specialist knowledge areas (community-led research, consultation and impact measurement), advising/training VCSE organisations on the subject and developing relevant guidance and resources
• Develop and deliver outreach and engagement activity
• Manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the public, private and voluntary sectors to support the development of the programme and delivery of programme objectives
• Provide 1:1 advice and support to VCSE organisations and communities, using a coaching style to support service-users to identify/diagnose challenges, devise solutions, and develop actionable plans
• Plan and facilitate group workshops and peer support networks online and in person
• Support high-quality research that can inform service development and influence policymakers, such as State of the Sector reports
• Monitor and evaluate projects and activities against programme outcomes and VCSE/community needs
• Develop and secure funding for new and ongoing projects, including contributing to fundraising bids, liaising with corporate partners and providing services to customers

Use your communication skills to help inspire the UK Church to participate in sharing the gospel with people in hard-to-reach places.

Since Feba UK was established 65 years ago to help communicate the gospel by shortwave radio, much has changed with big shifts in technology, missiology and geopolitics.

We no longer operate radio infrastructure or ‘send’ missionaries from the UK. Instead, we support local partners with training, expertise, prayer, and funding to produce culturally appropriate programmes in the listener’s ‘heart language’. Radio and other audio technology means they can reach people at scale and follow up in-person as listeners respond.

Third Sector Leaders Kirklees has received more than £900,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK, to empower local people to take individual and collective climate action and reduce fuel poverty in their community.

The Energy Neighbours project has a clear community capacity-building approach, aiming to work inclusively with communities and community organisations, listening to local priorities, experimenting and learning together, being transparent and accountable and sharing decision-making.

Role Overview: 

The Executive Director is a new role for RLS. The successful candidate will lead RLS through its next phase of development, providing strategic leadership, promoting organisational cohesion and accountability whilst driving the fulfilment of our mission. As a representative and advocate for RLS, the Executive Director will oversee key areas such as organisational development, strategic planning, fundraising, robust financial planning, risk management, staff well-being, and external relations.

   • Review and enhance RLS’s organisational structure and cohesiveness across offices and teams.

   • Oversee HR functions, promote professional growth, and prioritise staff well-being.

7. Fundraising & Financial Oversight

   • Deliver robust financial planning and drive RLS’s fundraising efforts in collaboration with management team and trustees.

   • Engage with key funders and develop sustainable funding strategies.

8. External Representation & Advocacy

   • Serve as the public face of RLS, advocating for our mission through media, events, and partnerships. Where considered appropriate, the Executive Director will be deputised by members of staff or management in external communications.

9. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)

   • Own, review and implement appropriate MEL frameworks and practices.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Proven leadership in an organisation focused on human rights, migration, or a related sector.

• Strong strategic planning and organisational development experience, ideally in a fast-growing setting.

• Experience of fundraising and financial management within the third sector.

• Experience leading remote, diverse teams and implementing inclusive HR practices.

• Deep understanding of the immigration and asylum landscape in the UK and Europe.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to represent RLS effectively to partners and the public.

We are partnering with Tearfund on this new role, which will co-lead the Church and Supporter Engagement team.  This role, the Head of Church and Supporter Engagement (Churches), will focus on developing relationships with churches to maximise income and engagement.

Tearfund is a Christian organisation who work with local churches and organisations in over 50 countries to tackle the complex challenges of poverty and support the lives of those in greatest economic need, through sustainable development, and by responding to disasters and challenging injustice. Their vision is to see people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential.

You will be responsible for growing the number of churches giving and engaging with Tearfund, growing the number of individuals engaged through churches and events, retaining and building loyalty among existing supporting churches, and growing income and engagement with new church networks.

Your responsibilities include achieving challenging annual fundraising targets, both cash income and regular giving, aligned with the UK fundraising strategy. You will work to ensure that all fundraising activity is aligned with Tearfund’s wider vision, mission, and brand identity. As part of this, you will manage agency partners for fundraising campaigns and will be responsible for a large, complex budget. You will lead a team of approximately 25 people across the UK

Your leadership will be vital in shaping a team culture of growth, ambition, and spiritual leadership. You’re someone who sees fundraising as more than just a numbers game - you see it as a ministry, building a network of supporters who share a heart for Tearfund’s mission.

Working in Groundwork’s Land and Communities Team, and in close partnership with Northumberland County Council and Suez Recycling and Recovery, this post will engage with households and partners across Northumberland to reduce contamination in the recycling waste stream and change recycling behaviours. You will work with the County Council’s Refuse Collection Teams and Waste Managers to deliver a programme of targeted doorstep engagement, monitoring and community engagement activity aimed at reducing contamination and increasing recycling. As a Recycling Engagement Officer you will exercise your delegated powers to address residential waste offences.

You will be a strong and persuasive communicator, able to understand legislation and council policies and to explain these in simple terms to residents through correspondence and conversation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporter care and ideally have prior experience in a donor support role or experience in customer service, administration as well as data entry. You will be looking for 37.5 hours a week and have the ability to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at our charity or donor events. 

Main duties of the job

This is an integral role which aspires to give our supporters the best possible experience on their fundraising journey with the aim of building long term relationships. The role will take a lead on Supporter Care with all donors for the charity team, acting as a helpful and knowledgeable “front-line face” for patients, families, staff and volunteers.

Key duties: 

- Manage the start and end of the stewardship journey for all donors and fundraisers by dealing with all enquiries through email, post or phone or face to face at the office ensuring that we meet the best standards of donor care 

 - Manage post and charity office filing system and the banking and thanking process 

- Maintain relationships through regular contact with donors throughout their fundraising journey offering any support or guidance needed to maximise their giving

- Act as a dynamic presence, leading and recruiting volunteers, community groups and small companies to organise fundraisers for our charity

- Build fantastic connections with patients, NHS staff, volunteers and our wider community to recruit new donors, fundraisers, volunteers and charity champions

- Support in growing the number of supporters playing the hospital lottery and those giving through our hospital ‘giving plaques

- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at events

Cambridge Cyrenians has been providing accommodation and support to homeless men and women for over 50 years. We have an exciting new opportunity to join the team as our Community Fundraising Officer. You will be raising funds and awareness to benefit people moving on from homelessness living in our supported housing service and additional projects.

Community Fundraiser
Salary: £30,128 - £33,413 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about fundraising, marketing and community engagement, supporting the Trustees and Senior Management Team to develop the fundraising strategy. Managing and building existing partnerships, building new income generation strategies, promoting the charities awareness to the local community, corporate and individual supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise Cambridge Cyrenians local profile and social media presence, including regular press releases
• Working with Trustees and Senior Staff to develop and deliver Cambridge Cyrenians’ fundraising strategy
• Identify and secure additional fundraising opportunities
• Engage with local companies to develop corporate support from the business community
• Keep track of fundraised income and expenditure
• Produce quarterly supporter newsletters on Mailchimp and LinkedIn • Lead Community Events Working Group to develop and deliver community events
• Develop and deliver seasonal campaigns and sponsorship challenges to grow Cambridge Cyrenians’ supporter base through one-off and regular donations
• Maintain individual donor records in Cambridge Cyrenians’ CRM (Donorfy), ensuring Gift-Aid claims are submitted and donors are thanked in a timely manner
• Maintain Wordpress website and fundraising platforms (JustGiving, GivenGain)
• Manage social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn • Develop Cambridge Cyrenians’ legacy fundraising stream
• Ensure all fundraising is GDPR compliant and complies with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice
• Be passionate and advocate on behalf of Cambridge Cyrenians’ work
• Network locally to build relationships working flexibly to attend local events

Purpose of the job/About the role

The Supporter Care team is responsible for providing the highest level of customer care to everyone who interacts with and supports Dementia UK. As the Supporter Care Officer, you will help maintain and drive fundraising growth across various income streams. You will achieve this by ensuring the best possible supporter experience for all our donors and by proactively improving processes and ways of working to support this overarching responsibility. 

Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, the Supporter Care Officer will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Dementia UK. You will respond to enquiries via post, email, and telephone, and will be responsible for thanking our supporters by adapting and personalising templates to deliver high-quality thank you letters. 

You will also work closely with our database to maintain the quality of information available and assist with gift processing. This includes handling sensitive data, such as credit card information, confidently and securely. Additionally, you will support all teams across fundraising and assist the Supporter Care Manager in identifying processes that could be improved, ensuring our database accurately captures our income. 

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience delivering high standards of customer service over the telephone, with the ability to handle enquiries diplomatically and sensitively. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team, building relationships with both colleagues and supporters.

Reporting to : Chief Executive Officer

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering our fundraising strategy and increasing our income from various income streams.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the driving force behind our community fundraising and to build on our fantastic service to ensure we create a sustainable and effective organisation for years to come.

Reporting to the CEO, the role would suit somebody with excellent communications skills. Experience in fundraising, sales and marketing or a similar field is beneficial but not a necessity. The key skill is explaining the importance of our work to funders and donors in an effective way.

The Fundraising Manager will work with colleagues across the service to develop and deliver our fundraising strategy. There may be line management of communications team staff and volunteers as part of the role. It is essential for the role holder to develop and build relationships with key partners externally and to work closely with the management team and our Development Committee.

The role will focus on achieving our fundraising targets, expanding current income streams, and developing engagement and opportunities to support growth. That will include bid-writing, grant applications, community fundraising, and events.
