The Role

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Role Purpose

The Social Media Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing Dialogue Earth’s digital presence by implementing a dynamic and evolving social media strategy. Working closely with the Social Media Content Creator and international team members, the post-holder will ensure content is disseminated effectively across various platforms, with a strong focus on audience engagement and alignment with audience personas. They will also be responsible for developing campaigns, overseeing social media analytics, and presenting insights in engaging ways to support the organisation’s mission of promoting awareness and dialogue on environmental and climate change issues.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Social Media Content Creator to develop and implement Dialogue Earth’s evolving global social media strategy.
• Work with Dialogue Earth’s editorial teams in the UK, China, South Asia, Latin America, and Southeast Asia to promote content effectively and innovatively on platforms, including Bluesky, X, WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as needed.
• Oversee and guide the work of the part-time Social Media Officer in Southeast Asia by providing task management and feedback.
• In partnership with the Social Media Content Creator, develop and manage campaigns, such as thematic weeks and awareness initiatives.
• Collaborate with the editorial and social media teams to produce audience-centric social media content, ensuring alignment with established audience personas and continuously improving dissemination strategies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report social media performance through streamlined analytics processes, making stats accessible and engaging for the broader team.
• Ensure all social media activities align with Dialogue Earth’s branding guidelines and editorial tone.
• Keep track of social media trends, external news, and relevant content of interest to feed back to the editorial team.
• Manage online attacks and technical issues related to social media.
• Prepare and present social media insights for funder reports.
• Maintain oversight of social media budgets and ensure spending is tracked and reported accurately.
• Manage occasional social media advertising on platforms where feasible (e.g., LinkedIn).

Further Information and Benefits

• Salary: £36,035.70 per annum.
• Working Hours: 32 hours per week from 9am-6pm. We offer a four-day working week, with full-time pay.
• Contract Type: 12 months, with a view to renewal.
• Hybrid Working: Staff must attend the office at least two days per week. Attendance is mandatory on Tuesdays and staff can choose which other day(s) they attend.

The role is a key part of the Doctors of the World (DOTW) UK Policy and Advocacy team, contributing to the implementation of our three-year strategy and maximising the impact of our policy and advocacy function. The team focuses on influencing UK health and migration policy, improving access to NHS services for minoritised communities and populations and strengthening the right to health in the UK.

The post holder will play a critical role in ensuring DOTW UK’s advocacy and influencing work is informed by our service users’ experiences and seeks to bring about the changes they want to see. To this end, the role will lead work with DOTWs expert by experience group, liaising and coordinating different engagement activities, identifying co-production opportunities and supporting members of the group to meaningfully participate in the organisation’s advocacy work and drive change.

Your role 

You will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support CWNN’s fundraising strategy. You’ll work alongside our Development Manager to create compelling fundraising campaigns, content and communications, growing engagement from individuals, companies, community fundraisers and potential funders while simultaneously raising our profile among stakeholders through strategic communications and marketing plans. This work includes:   

• Support our Development Manager to create and deliver impactful and innovative fundraising strategies including our public appeals, challenge events and local fundraising campaigns.

• Developing and implementing communications strategies to promote CWNN’s work, managing our social media platforms and external comms to ensure they reflect our strategic goals and values.

• Producing our e-newsletter, with support from the Development team, to ensure CWNN’s key work, impact, news and campaigns are effectively promoted to our supporter base.

• Create engaging digital content for our website and social media including written copy, video and graphics.

• Analysing campaign engagement KPIs to inform future strategies and approaches to best engage existing and new audiences.

• Create marketing materials for external use, eg. corporate pitch documents, fundraising packs, gig programmes, flyers and posters using Canva.

Essential:

• You’ll have a proven track record in delivering successful, innovative and impactful charity communications content and strategies.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Senior People Partner who will bring solid experience in HR and recruitment—whether through a CIPD or REC Level 4/5 qualification or equivalent hands-on experience. Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity, providing practical help, support and training to people affected by homelessness and addiction. We are passionate about the people and communities we support and embrace creative, innovative and inclusive ways of working.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience and creativity to deliver an exciting digital, marketing and communications plan, including

Digital Marketing

Create engaging brand social media content and publishing it across our channels, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.

Support services, fundraising and retail marketing on social media, including implementing paid-for advertising.

Create and edit photography and video content for our website and social media channels

Create and send out marketing emails using MailChimp and report on their performance.

Support our WordPress website, including updating pages and uploading posts and stories, and look for opportunities for search engine optimisation.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Digital Marketing

A minimum of two years managing social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked in.

A good understanding of GDPR legislation and how it relates to digital marketing.

 

Demonstratable experience of running a WordPress website, planning and uploading content and monitoring its performance

A demonstratable understanding of SEO and Google ads.

 

Demonstrable experience of managing paid for digital ads via Meta business manager.
