This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dementia and Support Partnerships Directorate as a Health and Safety Manager. The last year has seen the development of this area of work, and we are now looking for a senior leader to continue developing and leading on the implementation of an ambitious plan for the organisation, combined with taking on the role of designated lead for the organisation.

This role is essential to ensure that we meet all the statutory and regulatory obligations in respect of Health and Safety, and provides a safe working environment for staff, service users and volunteers across all our services.

You will provide advice on all safety matters and assist in the formulation of Health and Safety strategy with associated policies, procedures and statements of intent.
As an expert in the field, you will have a deep understanding of the level of responsibilities, accountabilities and duties that are fundamental to this role.

You will also play a key part in fostering and maintaining a positive safety culture throughout the company.

About you

- You will have a strong understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety teams in organisations that occupy multiple leased premises, run large and small scale public events, offer service delivery to vulnerable members of the public or have a largely home and community based workforce.
- A good understanding of the Health & Safety at work act 1974.
- IOSH Chartered (or working towards). NIEBOSH Diploma or Health and Safety NVQ 6.
- Experience of adapting policies and processes.
- Demonstrable experience of developing training and development programmes relevant to cohorts of employees and volunteers.
- Able to define, articulate and deliver the Society’s health and safety strategy.
- Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Citizens Advice Milton Keynes is a local charity that helps people to resolve their legal, money and personal problems. We have been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice since 1972 and helped over 8000 local people last year.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our Senior Management Team and oversee the core elements of our volunteering programme, and our Learning and Development strategy, as well as deliver in-house training, and provide first-line support to staff, trustees, and volunteers on our major operational systems.

• Have some experience in training and development roles.

Galop is the UK’s LGBT+ anti-abuse charity, working with and for thousands of LGBT+ people who experience abuse and violence every year. 

Galop specialises in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, so-called “conversion therapy”, and other forms of interpersonal abuse. Using what is learnt through working on the frontlines with clients, Galop works on national and local policy change to improve outcomes for LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence. 

Galop is a service run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, and the needs of the community are at the centre of what they do. 

 About the Interim Director Of People role: 

Following a significant period of growth over the last three years, Galop is now in a phase of stabilisation to ensure our workforce is supported in continuing to deliver essential services to the LGBT+ community. We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of People, Culture, and Operations to join our team. This role is critical in driving our strategic initiatives related to human resources, organisational culture, and operational efficiency.

Some of the key areas of responsibility will include: 

· Develop and implement people strategies that support our mission and goals and act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

· Foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture and promote diversity and inclusion across the organization, working with an Anti-Racism Consultant.

· Implement training and development programs focused on legislative soundness and cultural competency and intersectionality.

· Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment with Line manager responsibility for an HR Advisor, Senior Operations Manager and managing relationships with external professionals, including HR consultants and IT and data management support.

About the person:

The successful candidate will have a profound understanding of the complexities and intersections within the LGBT+ community and workforce. Supported by a Trustee Board that includes senior HR expertise, this role requires someone who has experience in establishing a trusted culture, preferably within a third sector organisation. Minimum CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience), including a solid understanding of UK employment law.

The opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated candidate to join our Operations team, under our growing Finance team at Standing Together.   If you are someone who shares our passion to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable groups then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a new Senior Finance Officer, who will support STADA’s Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, to bolster and develop our Finance function across the organisation; as the charity heads to meet the demands of its growth.

The Senior Finance Officer will work with the Head of Finance (and relevant internal and external stakeholders) to review existing systems, contracts and funding (income) arrangements; as well as explore and develop efficiency enhancing opportunities and contribute to building effective finance management processes and systems across STADA. They will support the delivery of several functions including: setting and monitoring of budgets, reporting of activity and funding across multiple funding streams, contribute to positive stakeholder engagement, oversee day to day financial activity and provide advice/guidance to inform development and delivery of our strategy and business plan. 

There is potential for line management within this role as it evolves. 

To fulfil this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about ending domestic abuse. It is preferable if they have experience in providing line management support and supervision. They will have great organisational, analytical and adaptive communication skills. With a positive and inclusive style of working, they will be confident and able to work across a variety of teams (and other stakeholders) and  be agile to work on and demonstrate a solution focussed approach. You will play a key role in supporting our National Affiliates and relationship managers, producing proposals and resources for philanthropic opportunities, corporate partnerships, foundations and HNW donors, to meet the needs of our existing donor base and capitalise on growth opportunities that arise.

You will be responsible for developing compelling funding proposals and philanthropic fundraising materials for a range of income streams. In this fast paced and varied role, you will build and develop strong relationships both internally and externally, with a view to supporting the research and development of philanthropic opportunities for funding.

• Assisting National Affiliates in establishing a portfolio of long-term partnerships that provide sustainable income for our school feeding programmes.
• Writing high quality donor proposals, applications and reports for a range of philanthropic bodies.

As Trust Fundraiser, you will proactively and independently manage relationships, reporting and application cycles for Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory Funders, adhering to all deadlines to maximise income generation. You will work closely with colleagues in the programme management team to identify projects suitable for prospective funders. Using the information provided, build compelling and persuasive applications and cases for support. • Previous experience of fundraising within a trusts, statutory or grants role, or other relationship management/business development positions.
• Personally building relationships to secure four and five figure plus grants or other key, long-term, income generating accounts.

This exciting role sits within our national team and will lead the ongoing development and delivery of Thrive at Five’s external communications, ensuring we can reach and engage with a diverse range of audiences from national early years influencers to parents in our regional sites. The role will have two main areas of focus: 1) National communications: establishing Thrive at Five’s national presence to influence policy, funding and practices and attract future partners (funders, future pathfinder areas and other strategic partners); 2) Regional Communications; work with our local backbone teams to deliver a communications strategy which supports our two strategic drivers; 1) to build relationships and strengthen understanding of the early years with key professional stakeholders, and 2) to reach local parents to build their knowledge, confidence and skills and encourage them to take up support on offer.

You will have solid strategic communications experience, with an excellent track record in developing and executing innovative communications plans. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and committed to the need for continued learning and improvement necessary for Thrive at Five to develop a new place-based model for supporting early childhood development. The successful candidate will bring experience of managing a broad range of stakeholders and supporting a network of partners and will be adept at managing and coaching staff, with the ability to upskill team members. You will also have excellent organisational and project management skills. Our Fundraising Officer is a new role for the organisation. With recent investment in Fundraising at OCT, we’re at a unique and exciting point in the team development. We’re looking for flexible, focused individual to join our team to help deliver sustainable income for our well documented programmes. This role will be important in developing the OCT as the leading Ocean conservation charity in the UK, generating significant new revenue streams to drive the Charity’s ambition. 

The post holder will play a key role in delivering positive data driven, donor led relationships to build sustainable charitable income with a focus on core programmes – Habitats, Advocacy and Experiences as well as unrestricted funding. They will support and report directly to the Head of Fundraising to deliver the Fundraising Strategy across all income streams including community fundraising, individual giving, memberships, corporate partnerships, grants and legacies. You will have experience in fundraising and CRMs. Experience in relationship management and the CRM Raisers Edge is an advantage. 

You will need to be self-motivated and enthusiastic to generate long-term working relationships with all stakeholders. You will need to be a self-starter, as much of the time you will be working autonomously and managing your own time. You will be provided with the necessary resources and support from the team based in Plymouth.

This is a permanent position of 37.5 hours per week. The salary will range from £25,000 - £27,500 per annum, depending on experience. Hybrid and remote working will be considered, but regular travel to Plymouth will be expected for team meetings and other face to face activity.

Role responsibilities

Support Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Stoke and North Staffordshire.  We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to join us in delivering a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Service across the region.

Position: S11199 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Stoke and North Staffordshire. Extensive travel will be required as part of this role (travel will also include team meetings or other work related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £19,099 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract under 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

Key responsibilities will include:

About the Role

The Retail & E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for creating a seamless digital shopping experience and online customer journey that creates loyalty through best- in-class customer service and by providing a range of gifts that meet the needs of current and future members and supporters. They will effectively manage the performance of the retail operations, ensuring net profit is maximized in line with Mothers’ Union strategic objectives and values. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

About the Role

The Supported Lodgings Co-ordinator role is a busy and varied one. You will be responsible for ensuring all young people referred to the service, are assessed, supported and placed effectively with their hosts. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and management of hosts, as well as promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly.

Wigan Supported Lodgings service will work across the different neighborhoods in Wigan and you will be responsible for the effective delivery of it.

Your work will be underpinned by the organisations Endeavour model of assets based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of which is to ensure that every young person leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Your work will also be underpinned by the organisations model of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy informed delivery, the aim of which is to support our clients to understand and act on their values, strengths, and long-term vision for their future.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of the Deputy Supported Lodgings Manager and the Greater Manchester Prevention Team you will be responsible for young people needing longer term placements, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all hosts and staff at the service.

Key responsibilities include:

 

• To be the first point of contact for young people and referral partners wanting to access the Supported Lodgings service.

• You will lead on the assessment of needs and risk, predominantly focused on suitable risk management plans for the safeguarding, matching and placement of young people in the homes of hosts

• Arrange all aspects of a young person’s stay with a host, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported, taking into account the support needs of individuals.

• You will have responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for young people and hosts through regular checks and reporting.

• To work with young people, hosts and other agencies, to prepare them for independent living and access longer term, appropriate accommodation using support plans.

• You will be part of a team responsible for a 24 hour on call service

• You will recruit, vet and train hosts both formally and informally ensuring that the host recruitment policies and procedures are implemented.

• You will be responsible for carrying out regular checks on host accommodation and assisting them to make necessary changes.

• You will proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the well being and ongoing housing needs of young people, working in accordance with safeguarding, data protection and information sharing protocols.

• You will lead on the active promotion and selling of the Supported Lodgings service to all potential hosts and referral partners, across the voluntary/statutory sectors and within the wider local community.

 

About You

 

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Experience and an understanding of working with people experiencing homelessness, or people in crisis

• Experience of supporting young people with their support needs, working closely with other key professionals.

• Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating risk assessments

• Experience of supervising or supporting hosts or staff

• An understanding and commitment to working in an assets based way

• Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures and follow them through to conclusion
