We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by supporting the charity’s growing research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. The RJ Senior Case Coordinator will be the first point of contact for complex referrals into the service and will manage a busy and varied case load. You will be an RJ practitioner of Advanced level, with a varied experience of sensitive and complex case work. Experience of supervising and supporting volunteers and knowledge of Salesforce case management system is desirable.

JOB PURPOSE
Working with the Managing Director, you will support delivery of our fundraising and impact strategy, supporting us in identifying funding opportunities, submitting bids and ensuring reporting is completed. You will be responsible for maintaining all our communications channels, including social media, updating our website and creating copy and print materials for our programmes. You will help us to share our impact and tell the stories of the mentor and mentees. You will support us to use our data management system, Beacon, to track both our funding pipeline and commitments, as well as our programme impact data. You will analyse and use our data to tell stories that help us improve our work, expand our reach and increase our access to resources.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Funding
- Set up and manage funds on Beacon, our CRM system, tracking opportunities, applications, outcomes, reporting requirements and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Support the delivery of our fundraising strategy, with specific focus on developing a portfolio of sustainable, multi-year grants, trusts and funds and service delivery contracts, while considering how we can expand individual giving, online fundraising and developing corporate relations.
- Income planning, including identifying, prioritising and scheduling funding opportunities.
- Liaising with programme teams to develop proposals for programme development, and gathering engaging information to demonstrate impact in reports.
- Supporting teams to manage monitoring and evaluation requirements for donor and internal purposes, developing and maintaining monitoring frameworks.

Purpose
Amparo is a nationwide Suicide Bereavement Postvention Service, providing practical and emotional support to people bereaved or affected by suicide. Thanks to additional funding granted between summer 2024 and the end of February 2025, we are hiring exciting new posts within our Amparo service in Southampton, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth (‘SHIP’).
Research has indicated that 10% of people affected by suicide bereavement attempt to take their own lives. People who are neurodivergent, from ethnic minority backgrounds, and/or part of the LGBTQ+ community face an even greater risk of suicidal thoughts, feelings and self-harm compared to the rest of the population.
We currently have three Outreach Suicide Bereavement Liaison Worker roles available to support people from marginalised and disadvantaged communities following bereavement by suicide. We are also currently recruiting for an Outreach Team Leader (please see our website for details).
The successful candidates will ensure the Amparo service in Southampton, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth reaches vulnerable and marginalised people who may have faced barriers and challenges in accessing support and healthcare elsewhere. The new team will create a safe space where diverse communities are welcomed, listened to, respected, represented and supported with culturally-appropriate services.
We are looking for candidates with the confidence to represent Amparo and Listening Ear with knowledge, positivity and professionalism. The successful candidates must have a passion for ensuring equality of access for marginalised people and will have prior experience in breaking down barriers, either in a professional or voluntary capacity. The Outreach Worker posts have been made possible through short-term funding available until the end of February 2025. For this reason, they are offered as fixed term contracts which may be extended if further funding is granted, however this cannot be guaranteed.
Hours
Listening Ear is hiring three Outreach Workers, specialising in reaching LGBTQ+ communities, ethnic minority groups and neurodivergent people. Each part-time position is being offered as two-three days per week, in line with available funding, however hours can be negotiated during the recruitment process. We recognise that each community is not a homogenous group and that candidates may have intersectional lived experience, skills and interests. For this reason we welcome applications for alternative hours, including any who may wish to express interest in multiple roles.

About the role
We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with data, and providing business intelligence that leads to action. If you love creating simple ways to explain complex data, and are excited by revealing the stories hidden within the data, then this could be the role for you.
Your main focus will be to provide reporting and research for our fundraising and marketing initiatives, helping to create a clear view of our marketing directorate performance. You will work closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to understand business intelligence requirements, scope out projects and deliver reporting to agreed specifications.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that reporting is used and a data-driven culture established. The outputs from your work will lead to insight that supports strategy development, and future investment decisions. Some projects will focus on other areas of organisational data, such as measuring our impact, or our financial model, as required.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience in analysing data and producing reporting, ideally using some advanced techniques for data extraction and manipulation (such as SQL) and a modern data visualisation tool (such as Power BI or Tableau). Full training will be provided, to enable the postholder to develop into a fully rounded data analyst, including training in the maintenance and development of our in-house data warehouse.
About you
We are looking for a pro-active self starter, who has a passion for working with data and a hunger to learn. You will be patient and methodical in your work, and be able to focus both on the technical aspects of data analysis and reporting, and also understand the strategic thinking that your work will contribute to.

Accountabilities:
- To contribute towards the development and production of a large and complex portfolio of reports, produced by the Data and Insight Team.
- To work closely with colleagues to embed reporting into day-to-day work, encouraging a data-driven and evidence-based approach to decision making.

The Magpie Project supports women with preschool children who are living in temporary or insecure accommodation in Newham and other London boroughs. We provide stay-and-play sessions alongside casework around housing, immigration, and other related issues, plus healthy home-made food, a baby bank, and a focus on high-quality play and creativity for mums and minis to foster a sense of joy and belonging.
We advocate and campaign, alongside our mums, on the issues which have the greatest impact on their lives. We have grown quickly since our birth in 2017, and we now support over 500 families a year with 11 members of staff and a turnover of approximately £500,000 pa.
We are in a positive position with regards to our fundraising and finances, with several long-term core grants as well as smaller project grants, a number of corporate partners who donate both time and money to the project, and a loyal community of individual donors and fundraisers.

We are looking for someone with a passion for writing and communicating with donors of different kinds. You will lead on all our fundraising, mainly from trusts and foundations but also developing new partnerships with corporate partners, with the support of our CEO and the full backing of our trustees. FearFree delivers services across the South West for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused, and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
Following a successful trial in several surgeries, the Interpersonal Trauma Response Service (ITRS) is now being rolled out across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay. This makes it a very exciting opportunity to take ownership and be part of an innovative new service, delivering real improvements to the local community.
The aim of the ITRS is to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of people who have been exposed to trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse. We provide adults whose health is being negatively impacted by interpersonal trauma with appropriate support. We also provide support to children affected by domestic abuse, and provide people who are using abusive behaviours with appropriate support and interventions.
Your team will provide appropriate training to GP surgeries to improve identification, enquiry and response for patients. The Specialist Children and Young People’s Advisor will work within a multi-agency system to provide trauma informed, proactive, person-centered service for children and young people and their families who have experienced domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.
Our Interpersonal Trauma Response Service brings together dynamic, passionate and committed individuals who share a common focus on delivering high quality, person-centered and trauma informed support to patient’s referred by partner GP Surgeries across Devon. The team have a responsibility to work with multi-agency partners, building awareness and understanding of domestic abuse.
This is a fixed term role for 12 months.
Key elements of the role include:
· Providing high-quality practical and emotional support and outreach to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse
· Risk assessing and helping to keep children and young people safe through safety planning
· Ensuring the voice children and young people informs every stage of our support provision
· Delivering educational, time-bound, sessions
· Enabling children and young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate
· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard
· Supporting in-house training & refresher training for general practice teams on understanding, recognising and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA) and sexual violence (SV).
· To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around DVA and SV to practice teams.
· To encourage general practice health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer.

· Raising awareness of children and young people’s needs who have been impacted by domestic abuse

· To recognise, respect and address the needs of service users who face barriers when seeking help to access the service, including those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBT communities, disabled people, those with complex needs and other groups which services have found difficult to reach.

· To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach, including colleagues in other teams and locations.
