We are currently looking for an Operations Administrator to join us at The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation.

The Operations Administrator will work closely with the broader Operations team to provide centralised communication and administrative support, and effective coordination across all aspects of the work of the Operations team.

As this role is central to the work of the Operations team, the person will need to be proactive, organised, and able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. As well as being the key link between the Operations team and the Research and Communication teams, they will need to be able to work well with the wider organisation and provide excellent customer service to a variety of stakeholders globally. A key focus of the role will be to ensure data accuracy across a variety of platforms, drafting and coordinating centralised communications with Operators, and support reporting on the activities of the Operations team. The successful candidate will not only have strong administrative skills and experience but will also have strong experience within communications and/or research.

We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by supporting the charity’s growing research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.

The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Research and Evaluation Manager. The team is also supported by a number of colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.

The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

The role will best suit someone who

• has a degree in a subject involving applied research (e.g., economics, education, policy, psychology, sociology, statistics).
• has quantitative research skills, ideally with experience of constructing comparison groups and running statistical models to understand impact.
• has experience of mixed methods approaches, including qualitative research methods (e.g., focus groups and interviews). 
• has knowledge of the UK education landscape, including higher education. 
• an organised and methodical approach, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Rights & Security International (RSI) is seeking a part-time Finance and Grant Management Officer to maintain our internal financial controls, assist with budgeting, and oversee our expenditures, especially by continually tracking our grant spending. 

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of financial management, and will be comfortable creating budgets and forecasts. Ideally, they will be familiar with charity funding, especially restricted grants.

• An appropriate qualification or degree in a field such as finance or accounting.

As the commissioned Restorative Justice Service for London and a Registered Service Provider with the Restorative Justice Council, Calm Mediation are committed to providing safe, high quality support to RJ participants.

If you are an experienced Restorative Justice practitioner with the skills and knowledge to support the complex needs of those affected by serious crime, this role is for you.

The RJ Senior Case Coordinator will be the first point of contact for complex referrals into the service and will manage a busy and varied case load.  You will be responsible for progressing referrals including undertaking risk assessments and case reviews, liaison with referrers, police, probation and prisons and attending RJ approval panels, supervising and supporting our team of volunteer practitioners who facilitate the casework and undertaking a variety of administrative duties associated with the role.

You will be an RJ practitioner of Advanced level, with a varied experience of sensitive and complex case work.  Experience of supervising and supporting volunteers and knowledge of Salesforce case management system is desirable.

You will be supported in your professional development and RJC registration or renewal and membership.  There will be opportunity for facilitation of case work, relevant training and continued professional development.

This position will be a flexible hybrid role - working remotely from home and/or from our office premises in Camberwell, South East London - with an expectation that you will travel to team meetings and events in London several times per year and undertake in-person case work across London and the wider prison estate.

Unfold is led by the people we serve and we get people where they want to be. We’re a bold, agile and growing organization, with a friendly, energetic and welcoming team.  As an established local charity (previously known as Westminster Befriend a Family), we’re powered by volunteers who support young people and families to identify and achieve goals that matter to them.  We provide mentoring and peer support groups to people in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and the neighbouring boroughs.

We’re open to everyone, but we target those who face the most challenges: 93% of the people we work with describe themselves as coming from a racialized group, 85% of the families we support are single-parent households headed by a woman, and 75% of the children we support are eligible for free school meals.  We also run specialized programmes of support for people seeking asylum and those with refugee status.  Last year we provided one-to-one mentoring to over 246 people, and group support to a further 252 people.  With increasing demand for our services, we expect to provide direct support to over 350 individuals in the coming year.

JOB PURPOSE 

Working with the Managing Director, you will support delivery of our fundraising and impact strategy, supporting us in identifying funding opportunities, submitting bids and ensuring reporting is completed. You will be responsible for maintaining all our communications channels, including social media, updating our website and creating copy and print materials for our programmes.  You will help us to share our impact and tell the stories of the mentor and mentees.  You will support us to use our data management system, Beacon, to track both our funding pipeline and commitments, as well as our programme impact data.  You will analyse and use our data to tell stories that help us improve our work, expand our reach and increase our access to resources. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Funding 

• Set up and manage funds on Beacon, our CRM system, tracking opportunities, applications, outcomes, reporting requirements and ensuring accurate record keeping.
• Support the delivery of our fundraising strategy, with specific focus on developing a portfolio of sustainable, multi-year grants, trusts and funds and service delivery contracts, while considering how we can expand individual giving, online fundraising and developing corporate relations. 
• Income planning, including identifying, prioritising and scheduling funding opportunities.
• Liaising with programme teams to develop proposals for programme development, and gathering engaging information to demonstrate impact in reports. 
• Supporting teams to manage monitoring and evaluation requirements for donor and internal purposes, developing and maintaining monitoring frameworks. 
• Preparing and submitting proposals and tenders to donors, trusts and funds and government and local government contractors. 
• Preparing and submitting timely donor reports in line with contractual requirements. 
• Reviewing contracts and ensuring contract compliance. 

Communications 

• Attending monthly content planning meetings online 
• Planning and developing content provided by Unfold staff and partners 
• Sharing planned content for review and sign-off 
• Keeping up to date with messages and followers on Unfold’s social media channels

In this exciting and varied strategic and operational role, you will develop and implement a marketing, communications and external affairs strategy that incorporates various impactful communications campaigns and projects that promote and protect King’s Trust International and The King’s Group, increasing our brand awareness and support of our work with young people nationally and globally.

CB Plus is seeking a talented and creative Fundraising Manager, who will be integral to supporting the financial sustainability of CB Plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet financial targets, ensuring a consistent and expanding revenue stream. This includes building a diversified income base for CB Plus, planning and coordinating fundraising events, and building and managing relationships with commissioners, funders, and donors.

The Fundraising Manager will identify new funding opportunities and secure potential donors, researching funding prospects and developing strategies for new support. They will prepare grant proposals, manage grant reporting requirements, and liaise with funding organisations to present CB Plus’s case for support. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, excellent communication and relationship-building skills and will be dedicated to our cause.

Purpose

Amparo is a nationwide Suicide Bereavement Postvention Service, providing practical and emotional support to people bereaved or affected by suicide. Thanks to additional funding granted between summer 2024 and the end of February 2025, we are hiring exciting new posts within our Amparo service in Southampton, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth (‘SHIP’).

Research has indicated that 10% of people affected by suicide bereavement attempt to take their own lives. People who are neurodivergent, from ethnic minority backgrounds, and/or part of the LGBTQ+ community face an even greater risk of suicidal thoughts, feelings and self-harm compared to the rest of the population.

We currently have three Outreach Suicide Bereavement Liaison Worker roles available to support people from marginalised and disadvantaged communities following bereavement by suicide. We are also currently recruiting for an Outreach Team Leader (please see our website for details). 

The successful candidates will ensure the Amparo service in Southampton, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth reaches vulnerable and marginalised people who may have faced barriers and challenges in accessing support and healthcare elsewhere. The new team will create a safe space where diverse communities are welcomed, listened to, respected, represented and supported with culturally-appropriate services.

We are looking for candidates with the confidence to represent Amparo and Listening Ear with knowledge, positivity and professionalism. The successful candidates must have a passion for ensuring equality of access for marginalised people and will have prior experience in breaking down barriers, either in a professional or voluntary capacity. The Outreach Worker posts have been made possible through short-term funding available until the end of February 2025. For this reason, they are offered as fixed term contracts which may be extended if further funding is granted, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Hours

Listening Ear is hiring three Outreach Workers, specialising in reaching LGBTQ+ communities, ethnic minority groups and neurodivergent people. Each part-time position is being offered as two-three days per week, in line with available funding, however hours can be negotiated during the recruitment process. We recognise that each community is not a homogenous group and that candidates may have intersectional lived experience, skills and interests. For this reason we welcome applications for alternative hours, including any who may wish to express interest in multiple roles.

About the role

We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with data, and providing business intelligence that leads to action. If you love creating simple ways to explain complex data, and are excited by revealing the stories hidden within the data, then this could be the role for you.

Your main focus will be to provide reporting and research for our fundraising and marketing initiatives, helping to create a clear view of our marketing directorate performance. You will work closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to understand business intelligence requirements, scope out projects and deliver reporting to agreed specifications.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that reporting is used and a data-driven culture established. The outputs from your work will lead to insight that supports strategy development, and future investment decisions. Some projects will focus on other areas of organisational data, such as measuring our impact, or our financial model, as required.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience in analysing data and producing reporting, ideally using some advanced techniques for data extraction and manipulation (such as SQL) and a modern data visualisation tool (such as Power BI or Tableau). Full training will be provided, to enable the postholder to develop into a fully rounded data analyst, including training in the maintenance and development of our in-house data warehouse.

We are looking for a pro-active self starter, who has a passion for working with data and a hunger to learn. You will be patient and methodical in your work, and be able to focus both on the technical aspects of data analysis and reporting, and also understand the strategic thinking that your work will contribute to.

You’ll be great at building relationships with stakeholders, and be comfortable in communicating complex information through a variety of means. 

Your work will help to ensure that we maximise efficiency in our fundraising programmes, and as such you’ll be comfortable challenging the status quo, and making suggestions for how we might change, as we look to continuously improve.

Key Working Relationships

The successful candidate will work closely with all colleagues from within the Marketing Directorate, IT, Finance, Fundraising, and potentially all areas of Practical Action here there may be reporting needs.

External relationships with consultants/agencies, and third party software suppliers.

Accountabilities:

• To contribute towards the development and production of a large and complex portfolio of reports, produced by the Data and Insight Team. 
• To work closely with colleagues to embed reporting into day-to-day work, encouraging a data-driven and evidence-based approach to decision making.
• To work with the Senior Data Services Analyst, Data and Insight Manager and IT, to develop our data structures and architecture, enabling a robust data model and real-time reporting.
• Develop our use of Power BI, our data visualisation tool of choice, keeping up to date with latest reporting technologies and proposing changes and enhancements to such software where appropriate.
• To work with colleagues across the marketing directorate and wider Organisation to understand business intelligence requirements, scope out projects and deliver reporting to agreed specifications, presenting complex information through a variety of means.   
• To work with marketing audience strategists and the Data and Insight Manager in the commissioning and production of research, and contribute to statistical modelling projects.
• To propose and pro-actively undertaking supporter analysis with the aim of promoting efficiencies and value for money within fundraising campaigns.
• Play a key role in strategic projects, as required, acting as a subject matter expert for data, covering a range of topics, such as supporter journey mapping, process documentation / re-design, software implementation to name just a few.
• Conducting marketing data selections, to provide fundraising colleagues with carefully curated data which will power marketing campaigns.

Essential

• An understanding of data warehousing techniques.

• Working knowledge of SQL (basic SELECT statements, JOINS and GROUPING data, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), Partitions, Aggregate Functions).
• Experienced using a statistical analysis package such as SPSS and a working knowledge of statistical techniques such as CHAID and logistic regression.

The Magpie Project supports women with preschool children who are living in temporary or insecure accommodation in Newham and other London boroughs. We provide stay-and-play sessions alongside casework around housing, immigration, and other related issues, plus healthy home-made food, a baby bank, and a focus on high-quality play and creativity for mums and minis to foster a sense of joy and belonging.
We advocate and campaign, alongside our mums, on the issues which have the greatest impact on their lives. We have grown quickly since our birth in 2017, and we now support over 500 families a year with 11 members of staff and a turnover of approximately £500,000 pa.
We are in a positive position with regards to our fundraising and finances, with several long-term core grants as well as smaller project grants, a number of corporate partners who donate both time and money to the project, and a loyal community of individual donors and fundraisers.

FearFree delivers services across the South West for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused, and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

Following a successful trial in several surgeries, the Interpersonal Trauma Response Service (ITRS) is now being rolled out across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.  This makes it a very exciting opportunity to take ownership and be part of an innovative new service, delivering real improvements to the local community.

The aim of the ITRS is to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of people who have been exposed to trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse. We provide adults whose health is being negatively impacted by interpersonal trauma with appropriate support. We also provide support to children affected by domestic abuse, and provide people who are using abusive behaviours with appropriate support and interventions.

Your team will provide appropriate training to GP surgeries to improve identification, enquiry and response for patients. The Specialist Children and Young People’s Advisor will work within a multi-agency system to provide trauma informed, proactive, person-centered service for children and young people and their families who have experienced domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.

Our Interpersonal Trauma Response Service brings together dynamic, passionate and committed individuals who share a common focus on delivering high quality, person-centered and trauma informed support to patient’s referred by partner GP Surgeries across Devon. The team have a responsibility to work with multi-agency partners, building awareness and understanding of domestic abuse.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months.

Key elements of the role include:

· Providing high-quality practical and emotional support and outreach to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse

· Risk assessing and helping to keep children and young people safe through safety planning

· Ensuring the voice children and young people informs every stage of our support provision

· Delivering educational, time-bound, sessions

· Enabling children and young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate

· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard

· Supporting in-house training & refresher training for general practice teams on understanding, recognising and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA) and sexual violence (SV).

· To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around DVA and SV to practice teams.

· To encourage general practice health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer.

· Manage a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families

· Facilitating early intervention

· Raising awareness of children and young people’s needs who have been impacted by domestic abuse

· Working with multi-agency partners and the wider FearFree service provision

Key responsibilities:

· Provide a high-quality, person centred, trauma informed service and empowerment to children and young people (CYP), ages 5-18, who have experienced domestic abuse.

· Effectively manage a caseload of CYP clients.

· Completing initial assessments of CYP’s needs.

· Collaboratively develop support plans with CYP to meet their needs.

· Assess and managing risks to services users, colleagues, and self.

· Work with multi-agency partners to meet service users’ needs.

· Have an understanding of multi-agency partners services.

· Work with schools and education establishments to ensure support offered is appropriate, planned and coordinated.

· Uphold, promote and work within safeguarding principles and practice.

· Support CYP to develop an increased understanding of the impact of their experiences. relating to domestic abuse and their awareness of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.

· Respond to crises with a focus on CYP’s wellbeing and safeguarding.

· Support the development of self-awareness, confidence and participation of CYP.

· Support CYP’s participation in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services.

· Ensure resources and services meet CYP’s specific needs.

· Support the development of services and resources.

· To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.

· Empower service users to make decisions about their life through advocacy and providing information.

· To recognise, respect and address the needs of service users who face barriers when seeking help to access the service, including those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBT communities, disabled people, those with complex needs and other groups which services have found difficult to reach.

· Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.

· To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach, including colleagues in other teams and locations.

· Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.

· Help maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.

·Attend children’s social care meetings as required, including Child Protection Conferences, Core Groups, Team Around the Family and Strategy Discussions. 

Practice-based work:
