JOB DESCRIPTION
As the L&D Advisor, you’ll support our organisational goals by designing, implementing, and evaluating training and engagement programmes that enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce. Working under the direction of the Head of HR, this role focuses on meeting business needs through targeted learning interventions and fostering a culture of continuous professional development (CPD). Additionally, you will ensure effective onboarding practices, coordinate activities that promote an inclusive culture, oversee compliance training, and support our early careers programme.

As an Employment Specialist at Twining Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in our IPS Workwise Employment Services programme. The service provides employment support to people across Northeast London, with serious mental health challenges, to gain and sustain work, using the internationally recognized Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach.  Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our clients, changing their lives by guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.  A day in the role might include client meetings in person or online, reviewing client documents and providing feedback, following up on new client referrals, completing client records using Twining and partner databases, completing performance/progress reports, liaising with employers about potential job vacancies, going to jobs fairs, and liaising with referral partners.

• Manage a caseload of up to 25 people, advising and supporting clients to overcome barriers, to help them find new employment and remain in work.
• Ensure Twining's CRM and the Trusts Rio system are updated with all plans and actions relating to your clients. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service performance requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement, taking ownership for problems, adopting forward thinking strategies for improvement in everything we do and take the lead on making change happen.
• To prepare participants for employment through assessing their individual employment needs through vocational profiling and then actively support them to achieve their employment goals in partnership with the clinical team.
• To provide individualised, ongoing support to participants once they have secured employment to assist them in sustaining employment.
• To promote the benefits of supporting participants to access employment, aiming to raise the profile of IPS services and raise expectations around the ability of participants to access paid employment.
• To proactively engage and work with external employers to open up and secure paid employment opportunities for participants who have experienced health problems. Ensuring the service is focused on accessing the hidden labour market to unlock jobs that match with participants preference.
• To provide advice and support to employers, as agreed with the individual, which may include negotiating adjustments and ongoing contact with supervisors to ensure job retention.
• To assess individual support needs related to work which might typically include help with benefits, travel to work, managing health at work etc.
• To provide effective in work support to individuals once they secure paid employment to ensure they retain it.
• To deliver employment workshops with other members of staff as required.
• To develop effective working relationships with a range of external agencies who might be better able to help individuals to achieve their employment goals for example, local colleges, training providers and external supported employment services.
• To maintain a professional relationship with the clients and with staff, with particular attention to confidentiality and maintenance of professional boundaries.

The role holder must also:

Partnering with Cadent Gas offers a great opportunity for Alzheimer’s Society as it will allow us to provide clear and up to date advice about energy efficiency, the dangers of carbon monoxide and the benefits of the Priority Services Register to people affected by dementia.

Ultimately through the partnership, we aim to reach more people affected by dementia, helping them be better informed and in control of decisions on energy efficiency and safety. The post being advertised is part of this partnership and is fixed term for 2 years.

As a Dementia Adviser, you will:

- Offer a vital and compassionate service delivering information, guidance and support to guide those affected by dementia
- Provide dementia support face-to-face, by telephone and online.
- Managing referrals, assisting clients in assessing their information and support needs in a person-centred manner.
- Facilitate face-to-face group services including our Singing for the Brain face to face group and our Carer Information Programme.
- Work closely with health, adult social care and third sector colleagues assessing, signposting, and providing information and guidance to support people affected by dementia.
- Build robust working relationships and develop networking opportunities with a range of local partners and community organisations.

About you

We are looking for an exceptional individual, with an understanding of memory loss, dementia and the needs of those affected with these conditions. We are looking for someone who is approachable and knowledgeable to work in the Milton Keynes area.
You will have:

- The ability to assess client needs to be able to maintain their independence
- An understanding of the need for client confidentiality 
- Excellent non-judgmental communication skills

The Role:

We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Income Generation to join ELF as a senior leader within our charity. You will be responsible for setting and delivering our fundraising strategy and achieving income targets in line with our objectives. You will manage our income generation team and support the CEO and Board of Trustees to set and deliver strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and delivering ELF’s income generation strategy in consultation with the CEO and the fundraising team.
• Line managing our fundraising team and providing management to the wider team when the CEO is absent.
• Recording fundraising activity and maintaining accurate reports to meet KPIs.
• Setting monthly income targets based upon activities, opportunities and key dates.
• Developing and managing a prospect pool for major gift cultivation, researching relevant donors and facilitating introduction.
• Creating compelling fundraising proposals and communicating effectively with donors.
• Ensuring excellent stewardship of donors, providing relevant reports and updates.
• Supporting fundraising efforts across various income streams, including trusts, grants, and corporates.
• Ensuring compliance with the Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator guidelines.
• Promoting ELF’s mission, values, and acting as an ambassador with donors, patients and stakeholders.
• Attending board meetings to provide updates on income generation.
• Complying with ELF’s policies and undertaking additional responsibilities as requested by the CEO.

The Person:

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in a fundraising position and driving an income-generation strategy. You will have demonstrable success in securing gifts from a range of donors and in building excellent relationships, with colleagues, donors and beneficiaries. You’ll come with substantial experience in applying for grants from a range of sources and in securing legacy pledges.

The ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of fundraising principles and of the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission guidelines. You’ll be experienced in using fundraising databases and data segmentation to identify and develop prospect lists. Exceptional attention to detail and a good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles are required.

As our Head of Income Generation, you will be highly motivated with the ability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements and adapt to changing situations. You’ll share ELF’s passion in supporting cancer patients and their families.

Experience working in a medical charity would be desirable, but we will consider candidates from a variety of charitable backgrounds. Team leadership experience would be beneficial. A fundraising qualification would be useful, although not essential.

This role can is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. We can be flexible with how the hours sit across the week to fit in with your schedule, however we do ask that the role holder works during core hours and has some flexibility to occasionally attend events and fundraisers outside of working hours. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week based in the Marsh Barton office.

About the role

The Digital Optimisation Analyst is instrumental in advancing Christian Aid's digital strategy and supporting colleagues in achieving their ambitious digital, fundraising and supporter engagement goals. Through utilising measurable data and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, the role provides in-depth campaign analyses, performance reports, and a deep dive into users' online activities and behaviours. The deliverable insights and contributions empower teams to make data-driven, impactful decisions that generate positive change across the organisation.

You will be the go-to expert in digital analysis, working closely alongside a variety of teams to maximise the reach, engagement and conversion of our digital journeys. About the Role:
The Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (PMER) Advisor has three main areas of focus: (1) Coordinating annual planning and reporting processes within the International Programmes Department (IPD) (2) Leading and coordinating the PMER Community of Practice and (3) Strengthening organisational capacity in PMER.

In this role, you will:
Coordinate the IPD Annual Cycle

• Coordinate the IPD planning and reporting processes (Annual Cycle), including supporting the development and roll out of new planning and reporting processes.
• Build close working relationships with IPD senior management, Regional teams and key departments including Finance, People, Communications & Fundraising to support application and ownership of planning and reporting processes.
• Lead on the development of PMER guidance and tools to support IPD planning and reporting processes.
• Identify and support regular reviews and adjustments to Annual Cycle processes

Lead the coordination of the PMER Community of Practice

• Lead the coordination of the PMER Community of Practice and organise and chair the Community of Practice Steering Group. The PMER Community of Practice is an informal group designed to facilitate the sharing of learning and best practice among WaterAid staff, especially PMER staff.
• Lead on PMER Community of Practice communications including the CoP communications strategy, quarterly PMER inductions, trainings and learning sessions and communicating regular PMER updates.
• Ensure that the PMER Community of Practice is active, incentivising participation in COP activities e.g. drop in clinics, webinars, discussions etc.

Strengthen organisational PMER capacity

• Develop and manage effective PMER capacity strengthening initiatives to support the application of the PMER core procedures and especially Reporting processes. This includes developing new and strengthening existing PMER guidance and tools and developing and delivering training.
• Provide remote and/or face-to-face support to Country Programmes and Regional Teams on an ad hoc basis to strengthen and build capacity in PMER
• Support any other relevant processes including administrative tasks within the remit of PMER as required

External Representation

• Represent WaterAid externally on key PMER issues, linking with key networks as appropriate

About You:

• Experience of coordinating and rolling out complex reporting processes, working with a range of stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Experience of building engagement of colleagues on a specific area of work, in-person or remotely
• Experience of strengthening the skills and capacities of others either face-to-face or remotely
• Good understanding of planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting concepts and approaches
• Experience of writing reports fluently in English based on analysing and presenting complex information to a variety of audiences
• A self-starter, able to work independently and drive tasks forward to completion, escalating issues where appropriate
• Ability to travel internationally for up to 4 weeks per year
• Commitment to WaterAid's values and a working style that reflects these.

Desirable skills

• Experience in an international development organisation
• Specific qualifications or training in project planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
