Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 450,000 patients and families we care for every year. 

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward. 

We have recently closed our Surgical Neonatal Appeal, having successfully raised our £3m target towards a brand new, state of the art Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital. This year we will be fundraising towards a new Same Day Emergency Care Centre, providing an unrivalled experience for our patients and their families. 

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting into the Corporate Partnerships Manger, the post holder will work with the Corporate Partnerships Team to deliver the corporate fundraising strategy. 

The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, stewarding supporters, organising and managing corporate events as well as supporting with content for corporate partner communications. 

Key Responsibilities will include: 

• To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Income generation.

• Management of your own portfolio of corporate accounts which includes providing outstanding donor stewardship to maximise supporter experience, engagement and funds raised. 

• Organise, manage and execute our corporate fundraising and engagement events such as our Dragon Boat Festival and Golf Day. 

• To work together as a team to grow corporate fundraising income through current partnerships and new business approaches, as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. 

• Utilise the CRM database to maintain accurate records for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes. 

• Create funding reports for external partners when required. 

• Support and attend third-party corporate events as well as wider charity events. 

• Keep up to date with fundraising trends. 

• Communication and stewardship 

• Work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Team to develop a communication plan for corporate accounts. 

• Interact with corporate partners on social media, as well as creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.

• Create stewardship/development plans for corporate partners. 

• Create and deliver presentations to raise awareness of the work of the Charity.

• Deliver tours of the hospital to supporters autonomously.  To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation. 

• To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate 

• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required. 

• Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate. 

• Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

*The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 31st March 2025. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. We are confident that by embracing a more flexible and balanced approach to work, we can continue to create a thriving and fulfilling work environment while driving growth and success for our charity. Next steps will be agreed before the 31st March 2025, based on an assessment of the trial period; the four-day working week trial may be ended, extended or adopted permanently. 

This fixed term contract is for 14 months at 28.13 hours per week. As part of our 4-day working week trial (working week Monday to Thursday) working hours required will be 22.5 hours per week if you opt to sign up to the trial and its associated conditions. If the trial was to end after 31st March 2025, the working hours required would return to the contracted weekly hours for this role of 28.13 hours per week. As part of our staff charter, we have a flexible working policy and can consider accommodating a flexible working pattern such as school working hours if requested.

We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as the Digital Outreach Coordinator. This will be a vital role in the next phase of our development. We’re looking for a Research Funding Administrator to join our team

Salary: £30,291

Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

Hours: Full time and permanent.  35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

To help start new cancer cures and save lives, we are looking for a Research Funding Administrator to join the busy Research team at Worldwide Cancer Research.  As Research Funding Administrator, you will be part of the team running the Charity’s multi-million-pound response-mode funding programme for discovery cancer research. Reporting to the Research Funding Manager, you will assist with the processing of funding applications, their review by external experts and the charity’s Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), and the administration and financial management of the resulting awards.

Your role

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. The fundraising leader will develop relationships with potential donors, identify fundraising opportunities, and manage the grant application process.

We seek someone who aligns with the DfG mission, has a passion for fundraising and can strategise and deliver new initiatives. The fundraiser will collaborate with program staff, and senior management to develop leads, compelling proposals and reports. The working environment is informal, team-oriented, and encourages individual input and development. Thereby supporting the execution of DfG’s impact driven program to improve life through design. Key Responsibilities

· Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective donors, program officers, and key stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for grant inquiries, reporting, and communications. 

· Research: Identify and explore funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors whose interests align with our programs. Regularly monitor donor databases and other sources for announcements and opportunities.

· Applications & Fundraising Development: Lead the creation of high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff, ensuring they are compelling, well-structured, and tailored to donor priorities.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our NGAGE Young People’s Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice, and support to young people concerning drug and alcohol use.

As Team Leader you will ensure good clinical practice and ensure the service operates within policy and statutory requirements. You will also provide induction, supervision, coaching and work and development reviews. In addition, you will:

• Deal with performance management issues
• Assist in the recruitment of team members and volunteers
• Develop and maintain effective liaison with commissioners and service providers

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lambeth Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, his family and two religious communities. It is the centre of his ministry, worship and hospitality.

The staff members at Lambeth Palace work as a small and close-knit team and support each other during busy periods with flexibility and good humour. You will be responsible for supporting the Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury at an Executive Assistant level. This post gives an excellent opportunity of working in a small, friendly, busy office, in unusual and pleasant surroundings.

The role of the Chaplain at Lambeth Palace is to support the ministry to which God has called the Archbishop. This involves a wide variety of tasks, much of it behind the scenes. The Chaplain carries responsibility for pastoral and liturgical dimensions of the Archbishop's ministry in the Church of England, his speaking, publishing and award-giving commitments while leading on the Archbishop's first priority of the renewal of prayer and religious life.

He/she is also responsible for the pastoral care of those who work and/or live at Lambeth Palace - the 'community of communities' and the regular pattern of worship in its two chapels, in liaison with Chemin Neuf. He/she is also responsible on behalf of the Archbishop for liaison with the recently-founded Community of St Anselm.

Core Responsibilities

• Being aware and helping to deliver the Chaplain's objectives and views, and communicating these to external and internal parties, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality where necessary.
• Managing and prioritising communications with the Chaplain, whether by phone, e-mail, letter or in person, enabling him/her to achieve their objectives while ensuring timely responses.
• Dealing with the Chaplain's correspondence, including drafting replies to letters and emails, and where appropriate replying on their behalf. In addition to drafting briefs for the Archbishop's official engagements for which the Chaplain carries responsibility.
• Managing the Chaplain's diary, including booking rooms and offering hospitality where appropriate, and making travel arrangements.
• Organising the Chaplain's expenses and drafting budgets for the team.
• Receiving and greeting visitors, as required, on behalf of both the Chaplain and the Archbishop.

Key Requirements

• The role is primarily office based, however, there is some flexibility to all to allow for a degree of home working, specifically when there are no internal or external face-to-face meetings. This can be discussed once you have been appointed to the post.
• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

Are you an organised professional with strong administration skills? Join our team as a Service Improvement & Transformation Team Administrator and play a key role in supporting our mission.

You will be responsible for efficient completion of all administrative tasks of our Service Improvement & Transformation Team. You will work closely with the Head of Service Improvement & Transformation, the Programme Lead, the Lead Research Nurse, and Project Managers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will assist in the preparation of proposals, reports, and other communications, ensuring that all necessary documentation is received prior to Committee meetings. You will also accurately review, process, and approve grant applications for our Care Centre & Network, Community Service Programme, and Research Nurse Network, ensuring compliance with our Guidance Policy. You will need to identify requests that should be treated as exceptions and escalate appropriately.

In managing support grant payments, you will check and authorise invoices, deal with invoice queries, raise purchase orders, and maintain precise records. Additionally, you will record actions and minutes from team meetings when required and ensure that correspondence and actions are accurately logged in our CRM database.

Today, Ochil Tower School is a thriving educational and residential community, where 27 children and young people, aged 8-21, with special and complex additional support needs live, learn and grow together.

The School is part of the Camphill Community which comprises 11 different Camphill sites in Scotland.  

Ochil Tower School is set in seven acres of stunning Perthshire countryside. This enables its children and young adults to feel more relaxed and better able to forge relationships with peers and staff. They are then more able to build self-esteem, confidence and their capacity for resilience.

The School provides excellent care and education and is not short on ambition. In October 2018, it opened a new Life Skills Centre. This facility is for young adults aged 18 – 21 and is designed to help them so that they are better prepared for the challenges of living an independent adult life by developing their skills in learning, life and work. OTS is now focussed on extending the residential provision to 52 weeks. The Board of Trustees have a commitment to further enhancing and developing their residential houses and plans to build new educational facilities for the school.

Ochil Tower School is now looking for a Head of Care who will form a key part of the Leadership Team, working under a highly experienced and dynamic Executive Director.  The Head of Care would be effective in collaborating with the education team, parents and carers and a range of other partners to meet the needs of our children and young people. 

The Head of Care will liaise with members of the school community primarily but will link in with other residential schools and with other external agencies to ensure that the service remains responsive to need, is professional in approach and in line with National Care Standards, as well as Government initiatives regarding residential and day care for children and young people.  The successful candidate will undertake the day-to-day strategic leadership and management of the residential team and ensure effective systems are in place for policies, procedures and monitoring. You should have significant experience of working successfully in a leadership role with proven experience of leading and supporting the development and delivery of operational strategies and associated action plans.

As well as all the skills required of a senior manager, you will need to have a commitment to and respect for the Camphill ideology.

We would emphasise that you need not be an existing Head of Care but a very experienced leader in a sizable organisation who is ready to step into strategic management.

The Role

As a Projects & Finance Administrator you will be responsible for providing administrative and financial support to the Project Manager and Project Boards. Duties will include:

The Person

To be considered for this exciting role you will have experience supporting project delivery in a multi-faceted administrative role. You will have the ability to organise meetings and events including booking venues and catering as well as minuting meetings.

You will be a confident user of MS Office Tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have experience of project communication platforms. Confidently numerate, and an ability to manage financial information including spreadsheets and finance databases.

An understanding of the public libraries sector or other areas of public service delivery is desirable, however excellent communication and relationship building skills are key to being successful in this role. With strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders this could be the next rewarding step in your administration career.

The role is home based, however some travel within the UK will be required. The role is part-time (3 days) for this contract, which will run until 30th April 2025 and flexible working arrangements are possible (if agreed in advance).

The two part-time Librarians share the responsibility for the management, and promotion of the library’s services and resources and for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality information service that meets the needs and aims of Anna Freud.
