Job description

Mothers’ Union Southwest

Trustee and Honorary Treasurer

Location – Remote

Salary – Unpaid Voluntary Role

The Organisation

Mothers’ Union is a federated  global Christian movement working to transform lives, strengthen families and advocate for change. Active for nearly 150 years and now with 4 million members in 84 countries, our programmes have extraordinary reach and an approach that is in line with best practice – our members serve in their local communities, have strong established relationships, and are there for the long term. They see what is needed, where it is needed and work as volunteers to facilitate change and help others. This local knowledge, combined with their Christian faith perspective enables transformation in the communities they serve.

Our work around the world is focused around the three pillars identified by our members of stopping violence (especially gender based violence), poverty and injustice.

The Role

We now seek a Trustee and Honorary Treasurer for a new charity being formed in England as apart of a pilot reorganisation and consolidation of operations within Britain. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to help transform our movement and drive lasting change in communities in the South West of England.
