About the role
This role is available at an important time for The Access Project as we expand on our mission to support many more young people on our programmes, moving into new regions and new schools and with new partners. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and experience in managing administration across a number of areas, with an ability to organise and prioritise and with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in undertaking a range of key administrative tasks to support the team. The individual will have an interest in developing their experience and a deep passion for our mission to support students to place and succeed at selective universities.
The Sales & Partnerships Administrator plays a key role in ensuring that the sales and fundraising functions run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on supporting across the team with key administrative duties.
Role responsibilities
Working across Sales and Fundraising, the administrator will be responsible for:
Maintenance of data, financial records and shared systems:
- Updating Salesforce for Sales & Fundraising including reporting through Salesforce
- Updating website and SharePoint sites, ensuring all data is up to date and relevant
- Supporting the delivery and responses to sales and fundraising enquiries, including automated and mass contacts (e.g. emails)
- Monitoring Payroll Giving and supporting with the administration of Individual Giving, including acknowledging /receipting donations
- Collating data for bids and reports and ensuring it is kept up to date/refreshed regularly
- Coordinating with Delivery Team to prepare case studies and maintaining these with uploads to Salesforce with updates as required
Undertaking research and preparing reports for sales and partnerships:
- Undertaking and reporting on research into sales and fundraising leads and events
- Supporting development of event and promotion collateral, including pitch decks
- Preparing drafts and data for partner reports
- Undertaking partner and funder due diligence
Supporting development of external communications and events:
- Developing newsletters
- Preparing partner updates and report, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports
- Supporting event preparation and where needed, attending events in person
Team support:
- Recording and uploading minutes and actions from Team Meetings
- Preparing action logs and reminders on actions

As a QEHB Charity Senior Corporate Fundraiser you will primarily be based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in Edgbaston, with frequent travel off site to attend meetings and events.
You will be key in helping to build new relationships with corporates across the region and nationally as well as nurture existing supporters.
This role is for someone with considerable experience in corporate fundraising (ideally 3-5 years) within a Charity with a proven track record of delivering on income targets and proactively generating fundraising leads and ideas.

Key Responsibilities
To work closely with the Evidence & Advocacy Manager (EAM) to develop and implement a series of impactful evidence and research projects that support our advocacy messaging, as well as internal and external learning for inclusive programmes and advisory work. These projects will build on established workstreams alongside developing new ones to maintain and extend CBM UK’s evidence base.
Disability Evidence, Policy Research and Learning
With EAM support the ongoing CBM UK Research and Evidence workstream, through:
1. Translating evidence from our programming countries and projects to produce and contribute to a range of resources to influence FCDO and other stakeholders. Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.
2. Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
3. Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
4. Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects.
5. Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team.

The Vacancy
The Programme Development Manager is committed to supporting colleagues and partners in programme design and development. The team also connects programmatic issues and global policy and advocacy to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground.
Saferworld’s income is secured primarily from statutory and institutional donors; however, securing funding to support our partners in conflict-affected countries and allow for more flexible programming increasingly requires a more diverse funding base. The Programme Development Manager will support efforts to identify and secure funds from statutory donors, trusts and foundations, and other non-traditional funding mechanisms.
The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes. The successful applicant will have a focus of approximately 4 countries, which will be decided based on the candidate’s experience and preference. Working closely with Country Managers/Directors, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme development processes (including taking the lead in drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies and donor engagement strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for growing institutional funding portfolios in our programmes.
The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Government (USG)/United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Additional experience in mobilising resource from trusts and foundations and other non-traditional funding mechanisms is desirable.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to coordinate an 18-month project exploring how we can operationalise a new in-work poverty benchmark for employers in London. This benchmark, developed by the Social Market Foundation, has the potential to improve the lives of low paid workers, building on the success of the Living Wage campaigns
The in-work poverty benchmark project is a new and exciting pilot project at the Living Wage Foundation. We want this person to build a case for employers going further than our existing accreditations and taking a more holistic approach to tackling in work poverty. This role would help us develop the pilot through employer case studies and extensive stakeholder engagement with a view to launching a new vehicle to recognise employers who adopt the in-work poverty benchmark.
Three key parts of the role would be working with:
- Our Membership team and our Operations and Insights team: to scope out and enhance their capacity to support employers to implement the benchmark through e.g. workshops, provision of guidance and /or new ways of working with employers.
- The cross organisational Making London a Living Wage City (MLLWC) team to build upon the successes and networks of this project and align where helpful to encourage London employers to go further
- London based community organisers to ensure that the experiences and stories of low paid workers are a primary driver of the case for change and how we develop this work.
The ideal candidate would be a proactive and experienced project manager with experience of building and implementing new products, projects or services. They should have excellent communication skills and a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders and building a network.

The Living Wage Foundation was launched in 2011 by Citizens UK to tackle in-work poverty and ensure that workers earn enough to live on and participate in family and community life. Citizens UK is the home of community organising with diverse civil society alliances set up to develop leaders to work on the issues that matter to them, such as the Living Wage. Contribute to the achievement of the LWF and CUK’s strategic aims
· Work with the Living Wage Foundation team to embed this project into the wider work and strategy of the Foundation, and to identify and share learning from across our projects on how to mobilise employer action to tackle poverty.
Develop and manage external relationships
· Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan to support and promote the project.
· Manage strong relationships with the project partners and funders to involve and update them on the project as required.
· Progress our existing partnerships whilst proactively securing new partnerships with organisations that can help promote and build demand for the in-work poverty benchmark.
· Develop a wide-ranging network of stakeholders with an interest in this project, finding ways to involve them in its development.
· Coordinate and manage a project working group of senior Living Wage Employers, in work poverty experts and employee stakeholders.
Build and manage projects and achieve work targets effectively
· Set up, manage and evaluate a set of action pilots with employers, low paid employees and relevant experts to develop and test the in-work poverty benchmark and the standards within it.
· Design and develop the recognition mechanism and support programme for employers who sign up to the in-work poverty benchmark.
· Provide regular progress reports and deliver agreed project milestones including events, reports and other agreed outputs.
· Oversee the project being integrated into our CRM system and developing robust project management systems.
Learning, expertise, wellbeing and inclusion
· Conduct desk research, stakeholder interviews and organise events as required to inform the project. Manage research partners to conduct additional research as required.
· Monitor, review, evaluate and write up pilot progress with each employer using qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.
· Working with others to identity and share learning on how to mobilise employer action to tackle poverty, considering this in the development of the in-work poverty benchmark.

· Develop the support we offer Living Wage Employers that are interested in implementing the in-work poverty benchmark and lead the production and design of research reports, toolkits, best practice guides and other resources.
· Promote the Living Wage Foundation to build our reputation as a leader in good work practices for low paid workers, including launching research and reports and celebrating progress made.
· Represent the Living Wage Foundation at meetings, events and conference to build awareness and support for our work.
Develop and manage internal relationships:

Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement team delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s vision to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.
Our audiences include health and social care professionals, members of the public, charities, professional bodies and associations, UK policymakers and campaigning groups.

Our successful candidate’s focus will be to provide operational management support across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance, Benefit and Debt (FBD) services in Wales.
