• Showing leadership for our volunteers by supporting their learning and development within the organisation.

• Staying alert to legal and regulatory development and contributing to our research and campaign goals.

• Investing in your own self-development by engaging with sector-leading in-house and external training, gaining exposure to reporting requirements and funder expectations, and developing and supporting volunteers.

Founded by a family, for families, James Hopkins Trust has been a cornerstone of support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families in Gloucestershire for over 35 years. Based at their purpose-built Kites Corner in Gloucester, they provide specialised nursing respite care in a multisensory environment where children can enjoy respite day or night.

This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with life-shortening conditions and their families. As Trust Director, you will be instrumental in delivering our strategic goals, supported by an experienced Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees.

The Trust Director will balance leading the team, engaging directly with families, and representing James Hopkins Trust on a local and national stage. While clinical experience is not essential, you will be expected to grow and stay informed about trends and issues in the care of children with complex health conditions. You will lead a team that is deeply committed to their mission, and the Board of Trustees will support you in driving the organisation forward.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strategic leadership within a small charity with strong communication and networking skills. You will ideally be qualified to be able to be the Nominated Individual for the CQC Registration and be the Registered Manager with knowledge of the national and local health and social care agendas.

Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative, and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes, by ensuring compliance with quality and donor requirements, contributing to effective risk management, providing support for the different donor accounts and ensuring processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient. The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.

As Trusts and Institutional Funding Executive, you will: 

• Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child
• Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages
• Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team
• Support the implementation of internal grant management processes

We are looking to recruit a female Project Worker for our diverse team at the Chrysalis Project in South London. Reporting to the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for providing person-centred support to clients to manage their tenancies and access independence.

As the post-holder, you will be working in our Women only Palace Road location, to maintain an environment of support for women with complex needs.

In this role you will:

• Support clients to liaise with external services like GP, substance misuse teams, mental health teams, social services.
• Support with all necessary skills to enable an individual to move on to more independent accommodation,
• Work shifts which are normally 8am - 8:30pm. You will also be expected to work some weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Carry a caseload of clients and be their lead worker.

About you

You will be able to liaise effectively with external agencies, have clear communication skills, a non-judgemental approach, and a good working knowledge of homeless clients and the challenges they face.

The successful candidate does not have to have direct experience in a similar environment. We are seeking a candidate who is willing to learn and who has a strong understanding of the needs of homeless and vulnerable people, especially those with complex needs. Dedication, personal resilience and a relationship based, non-judgemental approach is essential.

The post holder will have experience/background in:

· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.

Tearfund is looking for a dynamic IT Training Coordinator for our exciting global environment, working to maximise the productivity and online safety of our staff. 

Are you a clear thinker and confident communicator, with adaptable presentation skills, and an understanding of cross-cultural issues in a demanding international relief environment? 

We regularly hear from staff worldwide who struggle to use IT due to a lack of familiarity or skills. You will be responsible for providing high-quality IT Training and core competencies to our users with;

• IT training needs assessments across the organisation,
• development of high-quality Staff IT effectiveness training,
• development of Staff IT ‘Safe use' training, to keep our charity's data safe,
• monitoring and delivering risk-reduction IT training to users who access Tearfund data & systems

Key Objectives to ensure consistent, accurate, and effective IT training across all Tearfund staff for

• Google Workspace skills 
• Basic IT skills (including working in a globally dispersed & mobile organisation)
• Basic Cyber & Data Protection skills

Do you have good IT skills, and can research new software and changing technologies?

You will develop or adapt key IT Training modules to be part of corporate inductions, country/site orientations, and mandatory annual staff competency tests.

Are you good at trouble shooting issues, and handling all the “How do I” questions?

This post would work alongside IT Support to help provide the "on demand" support for Excel/Sheets, Calendar, Mail, and other essential applications users work with daily.

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager.

Contract: This is a part time (17.5 hours per week) contract, flexible working hours will be considered. The full time salary is £31,990 per annum and the part time salary is £15,995 per annum.

Purpose of the post: You will be the sole role for the Charity’s finances and will support our small team in a vibrant, prolific and growing organisation which provides quality assurance and membership services to institutions delivering training, education and assessment in dance, drama and musical theatre.

Location: CDMT resides at Salters Hall, 4 London Wall Place, London EC2Y 5AU, and this role is office based. Salters Hall is located conveniently for Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bank stations, and is accessible from street level and throughout the building.

Normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.00pm. The position encompasses one day a week, with a suggested working day of Wednesday. The hourly rate is between £20 - £22 depending on experience.

Essential requirements for this position:

· Accounting qualification part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent, with experience

· Excellent Microsoft Office, Sage One and Sage 50 Skills

· Good communication skills to liaise with customers and suppliers, and the ability to assist with ad-hoc office administration as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain the General Ledger – raising invoices, issuing credit notes, allocating cash.

· Processing purchase invoices and paying, bank reconciliations, and credit control

• Running the monthly payroll for 4/5 people
• Reconciliation of all Balance sheet accounts
• Administer online banking, credit cards and the Paypal account
• Assist Director with the annual Budget
• Sending all the year-end information to the Independent Examiner
• Administer the company pension.

You will also be responsible for the production of the Management Accounts for the Board three times a year including:

• Profit and Loss compared to Budget
• Preparing the Balance Sheet
• Reports to Trustees
• Producing the above reports in keeping with Charity SORP accounting.

Together with responsibility for reporting to HMRC, Charity Commission, Companies House, Trustees, Independent Examiner and Banking organisations, you may also be requested to produce ad-hoc reports and carry out any other duties that are necessary to perform the role.

Role overview.

Complete international grant expenditure audits for a diverse range of projects (grant recipients) funded by international donor institutions ranging from emergency aid, to long term development in areas such as agriculture, health or infrastructure or technical research. Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance.

• Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent – 5+ years post qualified experience
• Grant management and audit and reporting experience with international institutions. Preference given to individuals that have worked on UN or EC grant assurance assignments
• Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity while working with a hugely diverse range of clients and beneficiaries
• A real interest in international development and associated funding structures
• Ideally but not essential fluency in a second language such as Spanish, German, French, Arabic & Portugese
• Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills in English.

Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals.
