The Role

Reporting into the Funding and Innovation Manager you will lead on contract management, oversight and monitoring and evaluation of our grants and crowdfunding programmes to community groups and customers, with a value of over £350,000 a year. You will be a great communicator and will ensure a high-quality service for applicants and awardees and will track our social impact through robust monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing funding applications received, undertaking due diligence and make recommendations to the grants panel.
• Producing high-quality documentation for all panel meetings including providing the panel with accurate and timely data to support decision-making.

• Effectively manage contractors for our grant's programmes including Community Grants, Employment and Skills and grants for customers.
• Deliver a good user experience for grant applicants and awardees and ensure there is consistency across grant programmes.
• Work with the Funding and Innovation Manager and Social Impact Manager and leads in each team to ensure monitoring and evaluation requirements are being delivered through the grants programme that demonstrate our social impact.

• Supporting opportunities via our grant programmes to bring in external funding to benefit SNG communities and customers.

• Working collaboratively across the Community Investment Directorate and with other internal teams ensuring grants programmes meet the priorities of their teams and customers in localities.

What we are looking for

You will have experience in a similar role in the grants space, or experience of working within the funding/charity sector. You'll have a passion for supporting community groups, creating thriving communities and delivering social impact. You'll also have:

• Experience in assessing grant applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and proven stakeholder management skills across all levels of colleague and with external partners.
• Contract management experience.
• Understand and interpret budgets and accounts.
• Being able to prepare and present data in a clear and informative way.
• Ability to validate and impact assess, to escalate data issues as required.
• Knowledge of methods to monitor the quality of data and identify issues.

Purpose of the roles:

• To be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Neighbourhood Watch’s partner project involving Neighbourhood Watch volunteers within the South West.
• Recruit, training and coordinate volunteers so they can deliver information sessions to community groups. 
• Research areas in needs of support and book venues where information sessions will be delivered by volunteers.
• Be able to travel to events in order to support volunteers and ensuring information sessions are delivered to the highest and consistent standards, and that feedback requests are acted upon swiftly.

Hours of employment are:

0.8FTE (28 hours per week)
8 months fixed term contract. Core hours are Monday to Friday 10am-12pm and 2-4pm with an unpaid lunch break.

The post of Group Facilitator will be to provide support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence within group work provision.

At FearFree we run various trauma-informed groups for victims such as Empowering You (an educational domestic abuse online support group) and Rediscovering You, a face-to-face emotional wellbeing recovery group.

We are looking for experienced and motivated staff to join to help deliver the group work programmes we run around locations in Wiltshire. Groups run in the morning, afternoon and evening. Training for the groups will be provided.

In addition to facilitating groups, staff will be asked to attend training events and meetings, including regular supervision.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To facilitate group work provisions across the Wiltshire Service on weekdays, including afternoons and evenings.
• Completing pre and post group assessments and required paperwork, following the procedures in place.
• Write comprehensive case notes following groups about service user involvement, any concerns raised and any action required.
• Identify and take the appropriate action on any disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised within the group.
• To work cohesively with a second facilitator both virtually and in person in locations around Wiltshire.
• A willingness and ability to travel around Wiltshire and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Skills and Qualities

• Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence or the willingness to increase knowledge and skills in this area.

The Person​

This is a hands-on role, requiring a strong knowledge of charity accounting standards (SORP, FRS102) and advanced Excel skills.

• Charity Accounting Knowledge: Experience with Charity SORP and FRS102 regulations

Christ's College is seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Data and Research Officer.

Data and Research Officer
Location: St Andrew's Street, Cambridge, CB2 3BU
Salary: £30,487 - £34,980 per annum
Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full time, 36.5 hours per week

The post-holder will play a key role within the Development team, maintaining the integrity of the College’s alumni database that underpins every aspect of the team’s work. The post holder will shape and deliver the College’s prospect research strategy, managing the prospect pipeline and supporting the fundraising programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Update, enhance and improve the alumni database (Raiser’s Edge) on a regular basis, ensuring that information is entered consistently, accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain the integrity of the database, including importing and exporting data to/from RE, managing and uploading current student and alumni data from the central University database (CamSIS), College publication returns, the internet and other updates.
• Liaise with Cambridge University Development & Alumni Relations (CUDAR) on a regular basis to exchange updated alumni details. 
• Work with the Director and Deputy Director to manage the prospect pipeline, including conducting initial research into potential supporters.
• Produce detailed alumni profiles and briefings for the Director of Development and the Master for key meetings and events.
• Accurately record all gifts, pledges and legacies on the database and ensure procedures are effective and up-to-date.
• Ensure Gift Aid agreements are correctly recorded and renewed as appropriate. 
• Prepare donors’ lists for Governing Body, Council and relevant College publications.
• Work alongside the Deputy Development Director to complete the Annual Development Questionnaire (ADQ).
• Conduct research to find lost alumni and re-establish contact via new address and email details. 
• Deal with returned mail in a timely and organised manner, and with email “unsubscribes” and bounce-backs.
• Handle the notification of deceased members by recording information on the database, liaising with family members regarding obituaries for inclusion in the College Magazine. 
• Help devise new systems and processes to enable the work of the office to be carried out with ever greater efficiency and effectiveness.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. The post-holder may be asked to take on different tasks as required, and all employees are expected to work collaboratively to support the overall work of the College.

As a local development worker, you will support Quaker communities to be inclusive, welcoming and all-age. The support areas include worship, community, organisational management, social action, collaboration in the wider community, and outreach. You will provide accompaniment, facilitation, project support, and training. You will work alongside others at Quakers in Britain and Woodbrooke to provide resources and opportunities that grow from the identified needs of local Quakers.

You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.

The main duties of the role

To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.

• To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
• To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery. 
• To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
• To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks. 
• To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes. 
• To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act,  Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, Protection of Vulnerable  Groups (Scotland) Act, and legislation and policies related to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety. 
• To champion diversity and inclusion in your role at all times, referring to the Diversity and Inclusion Staff Responsibilities Guide.

Contract
Permanent, part-time

Start date
As soon as possible, as agreed with the candidate and subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check, and right to work checks. 

Working hours

• 16 hours per week
• Monday, Thursday 14:00-18:00; Tues, Weds 13:30-17:30 
• Local school term-times only (excluding public holidays)

Days of employment (if term time only)
You will be employed 188 days (of 4 hours each) per year, made up as follows: 

• 164 days of work (inclusive of additional days below)
• 18 days of paid annual leave (to be taken outside of local school term times and on any bank holidays  occurring during term time). For the avoidance of doubt, non-working time during school holidays which is in excess of your holiday entitlement shall be unpaid.

Additional 32 hours (or 8 days of 4 hours each)

These will be agreed between you and your line-manager, and may include days during school holidays. They will typically include three whole team meetings, one delivery team meeting and the annual staff conference. These will be pro-rated based on when you join in the academic year.

Starting salary is £27,400 (pro-rata)
Pro-rated salary is £10,558 per annum
