As Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that volunteers in operations-based roles feel valued, prepared, and supported throughout their journey. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll coordinate recruitment, training, and engagement efforts that enhance the volunteer experience and contribute to the smooth running of essential services.
You’ll oversee the flow of volunteers into operations-based roles, ensuring they are matched effectively to support Guide Dogs’ canine, children, and adult services. A key part of your role will involve monitoring and evaluating the volunteer journey, gathering feedback and insights to improve processes and experiences. You’ll manage volunteer data and compliance, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Additionally, you’ll support the recognition and celebration of volunteers, helping to coordinate award events and initiatives that highlight the incredible contributions of those who give their time.
To excel in this role, you’ll have experience managing and supporting volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience. You’ll be confident in advising on best practices and processes, with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams.
Experience with volunteer management systems, CRM databases (such as Salesforce), and Microsoft Office will be beneficial. A strong understanding of GDPR, safeguarding principles, and best practices in equality, diversity, and inclusion is also essential.
Strong organisation and communication skills will be key, as well as the ability to problem-solve and handle enquiries efficiently. Leadership

High Value Fundraising
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-value donors, ensuring effective solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up to secure significant contributions (six-figure gifts)
- Build and maintain a portfolio of Trust & Grants supporters. Responsible for researching, approaching and developing compelling applications with a focus on ensuring Trusts & Grants provide a long-term, diverse and sustainable income stream
- Lead the development and stewardship of the Philanthropy board to identify and secure transformational (6-7 figure) gifts and the development of the Business development Board to open opportunities with Corporate Partners
- Write and design a compelling case for support that is tailored to our High Value audiences
- Build a portfolio of corporate partners, including securing high-value, multi-year partnerships. You will work with the team to grow this income stream from prospecting, approaches, applications, pitches, stewardship and providing excellent account management

This role requires an experienced individual who will encourage clients’ engagement in the community by welcoming, supporting, signposting, running social activities, connecting communities and supporting organisations, organising events and trips, and engaging with clients who require additional social engagement support. The Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for measuring the impact and outcomes of all small activities and events using surveys, questionnaires and focus groups.
The other strand to the coordinator role will be to support local asylum seeker and refugee support hubs in the delivery of both formal and informal learning of English and Digital skills. Enabling access to these learning opportunities is vital to our clients’ resettlement and integration in the UK and local environment.
To be successful in the role, you will have relevant experience in community engagement and/or building partnerships in the charity sector. You will have proven experience in delivering activities and events that focus on community connection and co-creation, thus improving community integration and reducing social isolation. The Data Selections and Reporting Officer will work with teams across ARUK to deliver accurate data selections and segmentations for ARUK’s communications. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed briefs and deadlines.
This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we have launched Salesforce and use the Snowflake Data Cloud to develop our selections in. We have bold plans for growth at ARUK and this role will have a key role in this as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Aid in the scheduling and delivery of data selections through the Selections Calendar to ensure clarity on what data selections are upcoming, managing any potential clashes and planning and prioritizing workload
· Produce data selections and segmentations in an accurate and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines
· Work with the Data Selections Manager to proactively identify ideas and opportunities to continuously improve campaign performance and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust
· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief
· Adhere to a rigorous data selection process that guarantees the accurate delivery of selections
· Ensure the database is kept up to date with communications history and marketing coding as part of the data selection process
· Support teams in the delivery of end of campaign reporting, post-campaign analysis and the running of regular reports
· Work with Fundraising Teams, Digital Team and external agencies to ensure data selection file formats are delivered to specification
· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to follow the data selection process
· Support the process of the annual planning of communication activity across fundraising teams
· Work with the wider Data and Analytics teams to ensure the necessary data is being captured to enable campaign analysis to be conducted

What we are looking for:
· Experience of using large relational databases and analysis packages

About the role
This is a new role funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund that will enable the transformation of how the Trust supports volunteering by delivering a programme of volunteer and staff engagement and training, and leading the set up and migration to a new cloud-based volunteer management system. The role will also lead on volunteer development with external partners as part of the project.
The postholder will require the ability to work collaboratively and to implement an agreed project plan to fixed milestones and is expected to support and embrace a positive team culture, and to uphold the Trust’s values and expected behaviours at all times. They should act as a positive role model for staff, volunteers and external stakeholders through a professional, collaborative and engaging approach.
