Felstead Street is a CQC registered care home, which has a heavy focus on supporting customers with enduring mental health care and elderly needs. We provide 24hr high support to 24 customers both female and male. Our building is a purpose-built home on two floors, offering customers individual bedrooms and the use of shared communal facilities and gardens. The service is commissioned by East London Foundation Trust with the care contribution from London Borough of Hackney.

What you'll do:

- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere in the home.
- Following lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness to health and safety for self, colleagues and customers.
- Supporting customers to maintain a healthy and clean living environment, where appropriate, provide assistance to maintain their living areas are clean and safe from hazards.
- Providing support and assistance to customers during the day who may be experiencing difficulties with their own mental health and seeking appropriate support.
- Providing support with daily living activities including practical assistance to customers who may require this.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Support customers actively in the community and engage with the local area.
- Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
- Pro actively manage health and safety on a daily basis for self, colleagues and customers.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Homelessness service in Slough.

£26,305.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package. Working with excluded and hard to reach customers can be challenging, however, with intensive support this challenge can be broken. You will need to be able to engage our customers in a non-judgmental way. You will also be responsible for dealing with emergencies that may arise during your shift whilst remaining calm and using initiative then writing up incident reports amongst other administrative tasks.

As a support worker, you will be working as part of a team as well as with external agencies such as London Probation Service, local substance misuse services, Mental health teams, and police amongst others. Sometimes customers may not be linked in with agencies when they entre the service, as a support worker it is part of your role to ensure they are receiving the correct support from agencies required. Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the needs of homelessness. You will be required to support customers with managing their arrears; ensuring housing benefit is applied for as well as monitoring payments and acting appropriately if payments are suspended in order to ensure customer does not fall into any arrears.

You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the service which is a five week rolling rota which consists of working some weekends as well as long days.

There will be a rota for shifts, with working patterns of 7:30-15:30 and 12:30-20:30. There will be some weekend work.

This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.

What you'll do:

Work proactively with Slough Hostel team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs.
Motivate the team and champion a positive local culture within the service.
Contribute to a positive service environment, ensuring the service is supportive and a place of safety and stability for customers. This includes working flexibly and being proactively in delivering, reviewing and arranging effective support for emerging needs and risks in order to prevent escalating concerns.
Deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. This may include practical tasks, such a facilitating group actives
Support customers to undertake domestic tasks, including practical assistance to ensure a high quality living environment that promotes customers' dignity, respect and allows customers to feel safe and welcome in their own home.
Participate in support planning, risk management and assessment of needs in line with support planning.
Work with customers to promote social inclusion to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
Involve customers in the design, development and delivery of the service through co-production.
Report and react to any observations relating to customers welfare.
Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the community.
Maintain a good standard of records as required at the project under the direction of the Managers.
Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times, to ensure the safety of the customers and premises including responding to maintenance, fire and health and safety issues.

Charity People are pleased to be supporting Tempo Time Credits, a charity that brings people together in local communities to carry out valued and important voluntary work, with their search for a Community Partnership & Network Coordinator based in Neath Port Talbot.

Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.

In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network.

Funded by Heritage Lottery, the project you'll work on focuses on working with heritage organisations across Neath Port Talbot to increase the number and diversity of their volunteers and to recruit and retain them in a sustainable way.

Key responsibilities:

• Building and Maintaining Relationships: You will build and maintain relationships that support Tempo objectives, seek to understand stakeholder requirements, and support organisations face to face providing advice and guidance around Time Credits.
• Communicating & Influencing: communicate openly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, create local social media content and newsletters, persuade others using evidence-based knowledge.
• Volunteer Management: You will manage a team of local volunteers in each locality that provide on the ground support and add capacity in the local community.

The Community Partnership & Network Coordinator will have proven experience in managing and building relationships with stakeholders from third, public or business sectors, and monitoring business plans and budgets. The successful candidate will be able to work with senior executives and Government officials, plan and juggle multiple projects at once, and have knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will have attention to detail, planning and organisational skills, and will be able to negotiate both internally and externally.

You will have strong account management skills and have experience of managing or working with volunteers. You will be experienced in working within a role with a varied, demanding workload with the ability to adapt to change, deliver results, and work independently, as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be proactive and passionate about communities and creating positive, lasting change, with an awareness of the voluntary sector and its opportunities and challenges.

The role is part time and could either be 3 or 4 days (between 21 and 28 hours) with flexibility on when those hours are done, such as 21 hours over 4 days. The role will be subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.

The Programme Lead, Scotland (PLS) will work closely with the other PLS and the Joint Heads of Programmes to develop and implement the plan for the new BFI funded programmes and any additionally funded work across Scotland. The PLS manages a regional Programme Coordinator (PC), directing and supporting them in their role to achieve the various targets/KPIs, strategic objectives and outcomes for Into Film's work. The PLS works closely across all teams through a matrix management model ensuring a joined up and streamlined approach across all programme strands at Into Film. The PLS and PC will develop and maintain a range of partnerships across Scotland.

Main Responsibilities:  

• To ensure the activation team can implement operational plans for BFI and other projects ensuring the programme is relevant and tailored to our audiences in Scotland, working in step and joined up with all teams at Into Film

Person Specification: 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Experience, of directing and supporting the implementation of operational plans within a Scottish context to meet strategic objectives targets/KPIs and set outcomes. 
• Experience of managing a team and liaising across workstreams and departments. 
• Experience of ensuring the training and guidance is in place for the team to successfully deliver all elements of the Into Film programmes (including but not limited to training/CPD, events, conferences relationship management).
• Ability and experience of initiating, maintaining and overseeing partnership work getting buy-in from colleagues and those who will also be involved in implementation of the plan. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in all mediums and experience of being an advocate for Into Film at events/conferences etc. 
• Ability and experience of ensuring EEDI work is central to implementation of the programme and endeavouring to reach those who are underrepresented and underserved. 
• Understanding and experience of what young people, teachers, schools and those working in the realm of careers need to be able to participate and benefit from Into Film’s UK wide programmes including the educational backdrop and context of schools in Scotland. 
• Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation as well as managing feedback and advocacy loops via our Education Ambassadors, Youth Advisory Council and Expert Panels.
• Knowledge and experience of fundraising and how using key local knowledge and desk-based research is effective in success. 
• Understanding of CRM reporting, dashboards and data analysis to inform programme delivery.  
• Work on fundraising proposals as appropriate. 

 Due to the nature of the role, occasional weekend and extended working hours are required, along with regular travel to designated regions and occasional travel elsewhere in the UK.

Ultimately through the partnership, we aim to reach more people affected by dementia, helping them be better informed and in control of decisions on energy efficiency and safety. The Lincolnshire Service provides a highly responsive and individualised information, signposting and referral service to people affected by dementia. You will;

- Assist people with dementia and their carers in identifying their needs, providing information and guidance to help maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
- Be part of a highly motivated and supportive team, sharing responsibility of some Group Activities.
- Build relationships with a range of local contacts, networking with health and care professionals, marketing the Lincolnshire Service and providing dementia support. 
- Develop networks and pathways with partner organisations who work in the field of dementia, ensuring seamless and consistent support and empowering individuals affected by dementia to make informed choices.
- Provide support face-to-face, by telephone and online.

About you

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with an understanding of dementia and the needs of people affected by dementia.
 
You will;

- Be empathetic and non-judgmental in your approach with a commitment to equal opportunity.
- It is desirable that you have knowledge and experience of Adult and Children Safeguarding, Information Governance policies and procedures and statutory laws such as the Mental Capacity Act

There is no direct care element to the Dementia Advisor role, however we work passionately to provide advice, support and guidance to people affected by dementia. This role will support people who have received a Dementia Diagnosis and help provide the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future post diagnostically and throughout their lives

Responsible for key-working a caseload assigned by the Management

Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions to professional standards

Co-develop a positive behaviour support plan with the individual that identifies triggers and actions required to enable positive risk taking through reduced risks

Support customers to engage with agreed support programme

Support customers to access other services including CMHT, substance misuse agencies and/or work in partnership with other agencies as part of the support planning process

Develop and maintain links with key agencies and service providers in the local community

Lead on an area of specialism (e.g. ETE, health and wellbeing) and build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area

The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will help us to shape and develop the future for the National Cycle Network (NCN).  You will design, develop, and maintain the NCN, connecting people and places, and provide traffic-free spaces for everyone to enjoy.   

Your experience with managing complex construction projects and your broad understanding of transport planning, will help you lead and support a small team, as you oversee a budget of several million pounds a year, ensuring the delivery of impactful programmes and projects on the National Cycle Network, whilst aligning with Sustrans’ vision and Theory of Change. 

You will draw on your experience and understanding of the principles of walking and cycling network planning to support the team with the delivery and quality assurance of Local Cycling and Walking Plans and feasibility studies for active travel routes. 

You will help us be financially sustainable too, by taking a strategic approach to funding opportunities. You will help us build relationships with landowners, local authorities, and others, so that we can work in partnership to make things happen.  As part of this, we are working with local authorities to create a 20-year plan for the delivery of the NCN, which involves aligning projects with local strategic priorities.

About this role

Following the significant development of EduSpots’ income and activities in the last year, we are looking for an experienced finance and operations professional to provide exceptional support to the Chief Executive Officer, Head of Development, and Head of Operations (Ghana-based) to ensure the development of robust financial and operational systems, policies and processes.

This new post will work as part of the Integrated Community Network teams in Bridgend. The Network Teams consist of staff across several professions. This includes social work, district nursing, community psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics and pharmacy. It aims to provide a seamless and holistic approach to an individual’s care or support needs during times of change or challenge.

As a Dementia Adviser, you will:

- Work closely with health, adult social care and third sector colleagues in assessing need and providing information and guidance to support people affected by dementia.
- Help meet the health and wellbeing needs of an individual by looking at “what matters” to them by providing timely and accurate information, advice, and assistance so that they may benefit from what is available to them.
- Work within the Integrated Community Network Teams in supporting the provision of support to people with dementia and their carers and wider support networks. 
- Deliver specific components of the service users care plan as delegated by the Integrated Network Team professional and will be required to implement care plans within the scope of their competence.
- Build robust working relationships and develop networking opportunities with a range of local partners and community organisations.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Enhanced Support Worker to join our Young People service in Hounslow.

We are recruiting for Enhanced Support Workers to join our dynamic service and team. You will be able to be creatively engage young people in order to minimise risks and increase their independence. Partnership working is the heart of supporting our young people and Enhanced Support Workers are required to build and maintain those relationships to coordinator the young person's support.

This role requires working on a rota pattern encompassing mix of shifts between 7:15am and 21:45pm including weekends. The service is open 365 days a year.

What you'll do:

Responsible for key-working a caseload assigned by the Management
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions to professional standards
Co-develop a positive behaviour support plan with the individual that identifies triggers and actions required to enable positive risk taking through reduced risks
Support customers to engage with agreed support programme
Support customers to claim and receive eligible benefits, deal with relevant agencies to develop life skills, budgeting, financial literacy, and managing finances effectively
Encourage tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively
Motivate individuals to prepare and cook healthy meals safely, going shopping and offering guidance on buying balanced nutritious food

An awareness and understanding of the social, emotional and wellbeing needs and mental health in relation to young people
An awareness of adolescent development and relevant theories, such as attachment theory
