Job description

Single Point of Contact Advisor

Location: Devon, EX1 2NJ

Salary: £23,088 - £26,440 per annum

The Role

As a SPOC advisor you will provide an efficient and effective response to all who contact your service including professionals, service users, family members or carers.

You will act, in many cases, as the first point of contact for people looking for support, as such you will need good communication skills and an empathic nature.

You will be required to take undertake initial-assessments of those contacting and be able to give basic harm reduction advice to service users.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the Drug and Alcohol Treatment sector as full support and training will be given.

As the post is based across Devon (bar Plymouth and Torbay), you can be based at a hub of your choice. There will, potentially, also be an element of home working, if this is required.

They do advise applicants that the nature of this role involves speaking and giving advice to service users, information disclosed may be triggering to some.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You will have a passion for making a difference and fair chances for all should be at the core of everything you do.
  • Confident speaking on the telephone and in person to service users.
  • Be understanding and empathetic in nature
  • Experience with general administration duties
  • Experience working in a customer service/facing role would be beneficial
