The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will join a small but passionate fundraising team, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing core and restricted grant income for the different areas of Bendrigg’s work to ensure that outdoor adventurous opportunities are accessible to all. For example, one day might involve submitting a grant application for specialist climbing equipment whilst another might involve meeting with a funder to discuss support for our volunteering programme.  

This exciting opportunity will focus on raising funds from charitable trusts and foundations, primarily through grants of between four-and five-figures, to achieve overall annual fundraising targets (currently c. £900,000). The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will build on the existing strong relationships we have to encourage long-term partnerships, develop new relationships with potential funders and explore new opportunities for support.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate well with the team whilst successfully managing a varied workload. This role would suit a self-starter who is passionate, motivated and can manage a diverse portfolio of relationships to secure funding and support for Bendrigg’s work. 

Our client is a Charity which specialisies in the provision of high-quality independent living accommodation for people of limited financial means.  They are searching for a qualified Finance Manger to work with their leadership team, based in the Hounslow area.

The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is accountable to the Charity Directors and Finance Committee. The post is responsible for running and maintaining the Charity’s financial matters and records, including production of the management accounts and preparation of the draft annual report and the development of budgets and forecasts for strategic projects and other initiatives.  This is a key role, working with a great team and one that contributes directly to the smooth running of the Charity.

This position is office based, in a great location for public transport connections and in offices with excellent amenities.

Job Purpose:

· Manage day to day book-keeping and key financial processes.

· Produce accurate and timely monthly accounts.

· Develop quarterly reports, annual budgets, accounts and cash flow forecasts.

· Produce the required documents and process for audit partners.

· Plan and organise data for payroll processing.

· Partner with the Charity’s Directors and Finance Committee to develop budgets and forecasts for strategic projects and initiatives.

· Work with the Charity’s key partners to ensure that all governance and compliance matters are fulfilled.

· Work effectively with the team, stakeholders and residents on a day-to-day basis.

About the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT)

PSTT is a registered charity with a clear vision – we want to see excellent teaching of science in every primary classroom in the UK. We believe it is vital that children are engaged and inspired by science from an early age. We want to draw on their natural curiosity to help them explore, understand and ask questions about the world around them.

We’ve built a Primary Science Teacher College of over 200 outstanding teachers; each helping to shape and influence science teaching across the UK. We produce great resources that improve how science is taught and planned. We organise engaging professional learning events for teachers, and work with partner organisations to further enhance how science is taught. Our 2023-28 strategy is building on these strengths to reach more teachers across a more diverse range of schools.

We’re dedicating our most intensive efforts to areas of the UK requiring most development in primary science. Our Priority Areas initiative is being piloted in 30 schools, and in September 2025 we plan to launch this programme in a further 30 schools. Our Regional Mentors have worked with more than 3,000 schools across England, with exceptionally positive feedback.

Job summary

There are two parts to the Primary Science Mentor role. The majority of the role will focus on strengthening primary science teaching and leadership by leading our second Priority Areas initiative. Through their knowledge of and passion for primary science education, the successful candidate will inspire transformational change in schools taking part in this project. They will build close working relationships with participating schools and create a vibrant and exciting learning community based on mutual support and the sharing of expertise.

The remaining hours in the role will be as a Regional Mentor: joining PSTT’s growing team of primary science experts who provide bespoke support directly to individual schools, multi-academy trusts and other school groupings and organisations. This includes developing and delivering training in a variety of contexts, including online; working individually with Science Leaders; being a leading voice, expert and advocate for primary science (both regionally and nationally); and creating partnerships with other organisations that support science within the region.

A crucial part of the role is to ensure collection of appropriate data for both Priority Areas and Regional Mentor activities, so that we can evaluate our work against intended outcomes.

Purpose of the job

UK Youth are seeking an exceptional Grants Manager to lead our grant-making processes, ensuring effective distribution of funds to youth-focused organisations. You will play a key role in managing relationships with grantees, supporting capacity-building initiatives, and ensuring funding is used effectively to drive positive outcomes for young people.

Reporting to the Head of Network Development, as part of a wider team leading our network development initiatives, you’ll be responsible for be line managing a Grants Officer and providing much needed and valued support for a sector that delivers life changing impact for young people in a difficult, underinvested landscape. You’ll have opportunity to lead a function that’s committed to working with young people and using equitable, innovative principles and approaches to funding (such as unrestricted, multi-year funds). Key responsibilities

• Manage the full grant-making cycle, from application and assessment to award, monitoring, and evaluation.

• Develop and implement grant-making approaches that align with the charity’s objectives, and funding principles, strategies and priorities  e.g. building on our youth participation practices.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with grantees, funders, and sector stakeholders, working collaboratively and cross functionally with internal colleagues with work related to grants.

• Work closely with youth organisations to understand their needs and provide tailored funding and capacity-building support.

• Work with Impact colleagues to monitor and evaluate grants, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and identifying opportunities for impact and learning.

• Ensure a transparent and equitable grant-making process, embedding best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

• Work with Impact and External Relations colleagues to support and prepare reports and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders, including trustees and funders.

• Support the maintenance and development of partnerships and new funding opportunities  to enhance the charity’s grant-making capacity, including the IVAR community .

• Stay informed about trends in youth work and  funding, sharing insights to shape the charity’s approach.

• Ensure the CRM and grant management systems support data-driven decision-making and reporting, providing training and support to colleagues as needed.

• Support the development, and continuous improvement of the charity’s CRM and grant management systems to ensure efficient and effective grant processing.

Experience we're after

• Previous line management experience and a proven track record of successfully leading a grants function in a previous role.

• Experience in grant-making, funding management, or a related role within the charity sector.

• Strong understanding of youth sector challenges and the role of funding in strengthening organisations.

• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously.

• Analytical skills to assess funding applications and evaluate impact.

• Strong relationship management and communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience working with charities and funders.

What you'll do:

Payroll

Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off
Act as liaison with internal and external auditors and other 3rd parties (as appropriate) on all matters with regard to Payroll processes, controls and systems
Act as liaison with MHR, HR department and Business Systems team on all areas of the payroll.

HR Admin

Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated
Respond to straightforward policy and process queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance in line with Look Ahead policy, ensure that urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible; escalate to the Admin Manager or an HR Business Partner as appropriate

What You’ll Do:

Sightsavers is looking for a Legacy Manager - a vital role within our in-house Legacy team to manage and operate the administration of all legacies received by Sightsavers

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year - depending upon experience

The team mostly work from home however, our expectation is that we will need the successful candidate to be able to travel to the offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex (RH16 3BW) at least once per quarter but there is also the option to work in the office for three days per week, working the other two days from home.
