his role delivers one to one case work including ongoing support to resolve both immediate and crisis situations, in the main relating to welfare benefits, referring to appropriate support agencies and other ICCM services promoting a multiagency approach. The aim of the service is to empower people through access to appropriate support services and improve quality of life, health and wellbeing.
· Delivering client focused, culturally appropriate support services for the benefit of members of the Irish community in Manchester on an appointment office basis, drop in service, and on outreach for those with mobility issues facilitating access to mainstream health, housing, education and employment services.
- To provide support to members of the Irish community who are vulnerable through age, poor physical or mental health, homelessness, risk of homelessness, drug/alcohol use, offending, hate crime, social and cultural isolation etc.
- To complete an initial assessment of Service Users’ needs, presenting issues and risks, making onward referrals to statutory and other voluntary support agencies as appropriate for people to access specialist support
- An understanding of how to deal with people who have experienced trauma.
- Inputting all client based work onto the CMS; maintaining accurate and up to date case files and reporting.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for a busy team, supporting effective delivery of key participation projects that puts children and young people’s voices at the heart of government. This is primarily an administration post with some opportunity to develop engagement skills. This is a varied role that requires significant attention to detail, the ability to move between tasks at rapid pace, and skill to make complex information accessible for a range of stakeholders. The majority of the post holder’s duties will support the Making Participation Work programme, experience of working with disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs would be an advantage.
This role provides the opportunity to work closely with children and young people, colleagues and external partners. You will also be responsible for managing children and young people’s data and information, creating newsletters and social media content. Being proactive, efficient and organised is critical for this role, you must be able to co-ordinate logistics and analyse large amounts of data. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced team with a strong national profile and reputation for expertise and excellence in delivery.

- Support the creation of e-communications, including emails to prospective members. This may include proofing content, sourcing images, checking data, building emails and reviewing content requests with support from the team.
- Provide regular impact communications and surprise and delight moments to our suppliers and fundraisers acting on our behalf
- Source inspirational stories from our walking groups and volunteers, to help support growth of our membership community.
- Check data from our Data Team and from our suppliers to ensure it is accurate and in the right format. Provide data as needed to suppliers.
- Co-ordinate across teams to ensure data is provided in a timely fashion
- Check data is lasered correctly on printed materials, raising any concerns appropriately with suppliers
- Coordinate call listening for our core calling programmes, liaising with our volunteers and providing summary of feedback to our suppliers.

In this role you will:

Breck Foundation is a unique and dynamic organisation that makes a real difference. The charity was founded in 2014 in memory of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. We inform, educate and campaign to help young people and the wider UK public reclaim the internet from those who seek to harm others through it. Our educational programmes reach thousands of students, parents and safeguarding professionals each year.
The Project
Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.
We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.

Introduction
Stricklandgate House (SGH) is a Grade II listed Georgian Building, which has a fascinating,
varied history and heritage significant to Georgian Kendal. Stricklandgate House Trust (SGHT)
took over ownership of the building in 1998.
SGH operates as a centre for charitable and voluntary organisations for the area. SGH supports
and promotes the charitable and voluntary sector in the delivery of their services by providing
reasonably priced accommodation, common services, facilities, and support. SGHT also
provides counselling space and conference and meeting facilities.
SGHT are the stewards of the building and its heritage; responsible for preserving, enhancing,
and promoting the heritage of the building.
Project Overview
We have been successful with a stage one application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to
redevelop and enhance Stricklandgate House to become a heritage and community hub in
addition to strengthening is core business of supporting the third sector.
The reimagined building will feature exhibition space for heritage and culture, a community hub
in the centre of Kendal and a strengthened Third Sector hub. It will involve the redevelopment of
a modern annex that separates the Georgian town house from the historic Coach House and
will rediscover and enhance the Georgian features of the Town house, service wing and Coach
House.
The project will deliver a programme of heritage activities in collaboration with heritage
organisations and charities and encourage heritage engagement with underserved groups.
Heritage information and interpretation will feature on site and the building will be enabled to
move to net zero. We will provide engaging information and interpretation about the way in
which we have moved to net zero to inspire others and become an example of how a building of
heritage can be manged sustainably.
The community hub will deliver community facing activities and events in collaboration with
community organisations and local councils.
The project is summarised below in terms of outcomes and objectives:
• Outcome: An accessible, rich, valued, and sustainable heritage setting that strengthens
the charitable, voluntary and community sector in Kendal and Westmorland and Furness
in the delivery of their services.
o Objective 1: The conservation and interpretation of the built and historic heritage
of SGH, growing engagement, understanding, appreciation and value within our
local communities and with visitors.
o Objective 2: Increasing the supply of attractive, fit for purpose accommodation
and meeting space, flexible and affordable in use.
o Objective 3: Create a vibrant community hub for heritage engagement and
community activities and events.
o Objective 4: Address the challenges of climate change by actively pursuing net

Principal Activities
