Your role

The role of the Librarian is to care for, develop and promote the library resources of the CMS and the Pioneer Centre in such a way that they are available for all present and likely future needs of the Society’s staff, members and supporters, overseas partner churches and members of the public with identified research interests.

This will be done primarily through establishing and maintaining good relationships with external contacts and partners and using these networks to identify opportunities and to build the Programme’s reach. You will lead the production of communications materials through design and appropriate messaging, assist their advocacy work, and plan and deliver events such as online workshops and their annual conference.

The peatland agenda has expanded exponentially over the last 10 years and you will need to be an excellent team player and networker to capture what is happening and communicate this to multiple partners and stakeholders. The Communications and Engagement Lead post is a standalone communications post within a small team (9 people) and your ability to quickly develop good relationships with partner organisations will be critical to your success in the role. 

You will be lead on the delivery of the communications strand of the Peatland Programme’s activity. The Role Within Unseen

Unseen provides support to people who have experienced Modern Slavery and Human trafficking and actively champions capturing voices in our work and providing development opportunities for those we are working with.

The Policy & Research team are currently leading three projects. The Survivor Involvement Coordinator will support in the delivery of these projects.

Age UK Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our home visiting digital inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation. The Development Coordinator is a new role created to enable the Worthing Theatres & Museum Development team to raise crucial funds that will support the organisation in achieving its ambitious goals.

WTM has recently undergone a significant fundraising review and a new strategy is now in place. This strategy reflects the organisation’s need to increase fundraised income over the next 3 years (2024 - 2027) to meet its ambitious creative and capital plans to deliver on its mission to offer transformative creative experiences for the community of Worthing.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of Development and Development Manager to deliver the ambitious fundraising strategy for WTM. They will be responsible for raising funds of up to £10,000 per application from primarily Trusts and Foundations and some local corporate partners, and supporting the team with operational tasks including financial processes, events and communications.

Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Fundraising and Relationship Management

● Manage relationships with Trust and Foundation funders giving up to £10,000 per year including ongoing donor stewardship, reporting writing, crediting etc.

● Secure new income by applying for grants and funding of up to £10,000 to support a range of WTM projects from Trust and Foundations and from local businesses including researching trusts and businesses, identifying suitable projects within the WTM portfolio to apply for, writing bids etc.

Development Operations and Support

● Lead on supporter crediting for the department ensuring that all supporters are acknowledged in relevant digital and print materials across the year.

● Act as day-to-day point of contact for the Development team’s use of the Spektrix database ensuring best practice.

● Work with the Finance team to monitor Development income on a monthly basis and report back to the Head of Development and Development Manager.

You will lead the intergenerational care strategy, working with Nightingale Hammerson teams and external stakeholders. You'll produce reports to show the impact of the programme and contribute to educational and research projects. You’ll also handle telephone and email enquiries, maintain strong working relationships, and occasionally support evening and weekend events. 

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Diploma in Intergenerational Care and Education being essential. They must demonstrate a willingness to have a positive impact on people’s lives, possess excellent communication skills with a kind and caring approach, and have a strong understanding of Jewish culture and way of life.  
 
Essential skills include literacy and numeracy for producing written materials and statistical information, alongside excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, record systems, and video call programmes.  
 
Flexibility to meet service needs and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are key.

Experience in healthcare or educational settings is required, along with experience in leading or coordinating groups. The candidate should have experience designing lesson plans, and while experience in leading intergenerational engagements is desirable, it is not essential.

The Role

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work across both Houses of Parliament to ensure that our updated Safeguarding policy is effectively implemented and embedded across our varied teams.

The Parliamentary Estate is a mixed-use site, with many different activities involving a wide range of individuals: from members and staff of both Houses, to visitors on democratic access tours and attending proceedings, school children on educational tours, VIP visitors and parliamentary delegations, and tourists from all over the world.

You will need to work with teams across Parliament to understand these different activities, assess the risks of harm to children and adults at risk, the likelihood of those risks materialising, and how Parliament can effectively mitigate them. You will lead in the roll out of our updated Safeguarding policy alongside the development of a network of trained safeguarding coordinators, developing a community of interest to share best practice and guidance.

The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for providing families (parents/carers and children up to ten years) affected by cleft with opportunities to access accurate information, connect with each other and form supportive communities. We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as the Digital Outreach Coordinator. This will be a vital role in the next phase of our development. Reporting to the Missions Lead, you will develop and implement effective, digital outreach solutions that enable Urban Saints to give young people the opportunity to encounter Jesus. Coordinating the creation of relevant content and training, you will equip and support volunteers nationally to reach and engage young people in a digital environment.

As the key individual who will spearhead digital outreach, this is a critical role within Urban Saints. We are looking for someone who both understands and is passionate about the opportunities provided by digital technology for mission. A strong candidate will be 'hands on' and enthusiastic about developing digital outreach to equip young people to make a positive impact in their communities. Overview of the Directorate

The Education Department manages and develops the ESU's portfolio of education programmes. This portfolio encompasses teaching programmes, domestic and international competitions, short and long-term interventions in schools and external educations, continual professional development oppertunities for teachers,awards and scholarships. All of which are focused on giving young people the speaking & listening skills and the cross-cultural understaing they need to thrive.

Purpose of this role

The main purpose of the role is to carry out and assist in the administration and day to day running of the ESU’s educational programmes, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and managing delivery staff to ensure collective goals and objectives are reached

 Responsibilities and Expectations

 · Support with the smooth running and delivery of ESU Education’s domestic & international programmes as needed

· Be the first respondent to incoming calls and emails from educators, ESU partners and the general public, providing timely and professional responses to all enquiries

· Manage ESU spreadsheets and data across various Excel and our CRM system to ensure clean and accurate data collection and collation

· As needed, support with the development and improvement of education resources

· Liaise with the ESU’s Accounts Department regarding invoicing, delivery staff pay and expenses.

· Maintain accurate records of all bookings, delivery staff status, schools, public feedback and other relevant information.

· To support with delivery of workshops in schools, undertaking training to ensure delivery and teaching matches ESU standards

· Where appropriate source venues, confirm catering arrangements and other operational requirements regarding Education events.

· Assist the department in ad-hoc admin work as needed such as printing

· Participate in call-rounds as part of the department’s sales and onboarding efforts

· Co-ordinate the collection of process evaluation & impact data.

        To work or travel over occasional evenings and weekends as directed by line manager, with time off in lieu.

· On occasion, support young people during workshops, residential programmes and competition events to ensure these key beneficiaries are supported throughout their engagement with the ESU.
