The Role

The Supporter Journey Team is responsible for delivering world-class behavioural journeys for our charity partners.

You will ensure that we are continuously providing the best supporter journeys in the sector by designing, building, delivering and optimising omni-channel behavioural journeys at scale, in turn delivering value to our clients.

Working across both Social Mind and Social Sync, you will join an existing team reporting into our Campaign Manager and you will ensure all our charity partners and their supporters receive personal, bespoke communications to maximise fundraising for our charity partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development:
  • Develop comprehensive, integrated journeys for supporters across multiple channels.
  • Ensure these journeys are behavioural and provide a great stewardship experience for supporters.
• Performance Analysis:
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of supporter journeys.
  • Analyse key metrics to assess the contribution of these journeys to overall goals, for example, email open and click through rates.
• Optimisation and Supporter Experience:
  • Identify areas for improvement within existing journeys.
  • Propose and implement enhancements based on testing and learning outcomes.
  • React to key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint opportunities for journey improvements to help drive campaign performance and income.
  • Make data-driven decisions to refine and improve the journeys.
  • Commit to delivering a high-quality experience for all supporters.

Skills and Knowledge

• Experience of designing, creating and delivering outstanding supporter experiences that increase engagement, fundraising rates and average value.
• Ability to understand our charity partners objectives and translating that into exceptional supporter experiences at scale.
• Ability to analyse data and make recommendations that improve fundraising and the supporter experience.

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team at Samaritans. As Finance Officer, you’ll support the Branch Finance function and branch treasurers, in particular leading the annual Central Charity contribution (‘New Branch Contribution’/NBC) process with affiliate branches and handling administrative tasks on branch banking.

You’ll have previous experience working within a Finance/Accounts department, with good Microsoft Excel skills. You’ll be highly organised and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

​The Role 

We have 201 branches across the UK and Ireland. The core of this role involves coordinating the annual Central Charity contribution process, reviewing NBC calculations, co-ordinating invoicing and receipts, and escalating NBC queries, with total NBCs amounting to £0.7m-£1.3m a year. You will also be supporting our branch treasurers with banking processes and other administrative matters that are key to managing the finances of our branches.

Your role

This role is crucial in helping us raise funds to underpin our new 3 year strategy and to reach even more midwives and student midwives with our awards.  Reporting to The Executive Director you will take forward our fundraising strategy in our three key areas which grows our income and deepens relationships with our existing donors.  We have a dedicated legacy strategy in place and your role will be to move this forward.  We want you to explore ways in which we can use our learning legacy ( 30 years of funding awards)  to both raise awareness and funds and to be involved as we move forward in appointing a new Patron and Ambassadors and help us maximise their impact.

About you

Have a proven track record of successful fundraising within a UK charity preferably working at national level, in one or more of these areas: individuals, corporates , legacies, community.

You have excellent communication skills and can work across a wide range of audiences in a clear and confident manner.

You are highly motivated and able to work independently to develop and implement fundraising strategies.

You are well organised and are able to plan and prioritise working to multiple deadlines as well as being able to develop effective systems to monitor progress,

Role Overview

As a member of the Supporter Engagement Team no two days will be the same. You will be essential in helping us improve the lives of those living with Crohn's and Colitis by offering fantastic supporter service and ensuring our members and fundraisers feel valued and keen to continue to support!

The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in achieving this. By taking a lead in the day to day management of the income processing and membership arm of the team ensuring all income is processed quickly and accurately and supporters are thanked efficiently.

About You

You will have experience of working in a similar role, providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment, handling supporter queries and providing information in a concise and comprehensive manner.

You will be experienced in supervising staff or volunteers and be an effective and approachable networker with a proved track record of building excellent relations with all stakeholders, using high levels of tact and sensitivity when needed.

You'll need strong written and verbal skills and the ability to adapt your style depending on the audience. You'll also be effective at managing challenging situations and competing priorities.

You will have the ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines whilst taking ownership of problems to find a solution where possible, escalating to a manager where required. 

You will also have experience of working with databases to produce reports and insights, as well as the managing the handling of cash and finance processes.

Experience of Microsoft office is essential, as well as high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

We are hiring a Grassroots Development Officer at BVSC on a 2 year contract. Responsible to the Funding and Development Manager, the role of Grassroots Development Officer will be to support the growth and sustainability of small voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Bexley. This role is funded by the VCSE Capacity Building & Infrastructure Fund 2024/2025 through the South East London Integrated Care System (SEL ICS) and aims to enhance the effectiveness of smaller, often informal groups delivering services that are both ‘by and for’ their service users that are crucial in addressing local health and wellbeing needs for the ‘under-served’ but face significant challenges in visibility and support.

The Grassroots Development Officer will be responsible for providing a wide range of organisational development support services and activities to assist grassroots VCSE organisations to develop, thrive and remain sustainable. This role is particularly interested in working with groups who deliver services to young people, the elderly, minority ethnic (global majority) and migrant groups, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and residents in the north of the borough (areas with high deprivation and a higher proportion of small groups). 
You will be led by the VCSE sector within Bexley to ensure services are accessible, connected, consistent and to a high standard. Development work strives to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services. The Masonic Charitable Foundation is looking for an experienced adviser to join our frontline Advice, Support & Enquiries Team managing all enquiries via the advice line and electronic/mail channels. Each month we receive hundreds of phone calls and emails from people who need our help. The team’s Advisers are often the first point of contact with the MCF and play a key role in our grants process.

You will need excellent customer service skills, a high level of personal resilience, ability to quickly build a good rapport with callers and be a team player who is willing to support colleagues and prioritise the needs of the team. Previous experience in a comparable role is desirable.

Day to day responsibilities include answering calls and responding to emails from individuals and families for a range of support (including daily living costs, health and care and education), liaising with our Advice and Support Advisers and Visiting Volunteers, awarding grants for counselling and consultations and keeping the grants system up to date.

Our Direct Marketing Team is part of this department, and recruits and develops supporters. We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team to independently manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns to recruit new donors, communicate with existing donors, and generate agreed income for Battersea through a variety of warm and cold marketing channels such as direct mail, print media, and digital promotion. As Trust Funding Officer, you will independently deliver excellent account management and stewardship to a portfolio of existing donors, contributing to our goals of sustaining and increasing income from trusts and foundations. We are therefore looking for solid experience of working in a fundraising environment, managing and prioritising a portfolio of existing and prospective funders. You’ll have a proven track record of soliciting five and six-figure gifts from existing donors and prospects.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the driving of events through the development and delivery of the annual calendar for the Charity

Job Responsibilities:

• With support from the Community & Events Manager, organise and lead on the successful delivery of the annual hospice fundraising event programme
• Research, plan and implement new events to diversify the annual programme

About The Role

The Social Mobility and Widening Participation Senior Officer is a vital member of the department. The post-holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of sustained outreach initiatives. They will also be involved in a range of other challenging projects run across the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Department.

This role will co-lead on the delivery of K+, supporting participants on our arts, humanities and social science pathways. K+ is King’s flagship widening participation programme for sixth form and college students. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive range of events for Year 12 participants as part of non-residential Spring and Summer Schools. This will involve working collaboratively with schools and teachers within Greater London and King’s target regions, King’s faculties and with corporate and charity partners.

The post holder will work closely with the wider Post-16 Programmes team, student ambassadors and key partner staff. This role is responsible to the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Manager.
