Overall purpose

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.

You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, and the post holder will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The post holder will be based within housing teams for three days a week, to help facilitate.

• Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
• Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
• Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
• Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager

This recognises that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.

The housing IGVA will carry a caseload of survivors and their children that require additional support. They will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.

They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

About the Role

This new role within the Operations Directorate will manage our existing portfolio of national skills competitions, work with the wider team and network to develop our offering to ensure we are aligned with the UK economic priorities. You will have experience of the technical and vocational education and training or apprenticeship systems, be proactive and able to engage with a range of stakeholders.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the national competition programme is delivered to a high standard, ensuring a collaborative approach to its development and delivery, in partnership with education and industry

Key tasks and responsibilities:

1. Management of a portfolio of national skills competitions across a range of industry sectors:

Develop knowledge and understanding of each competition and their operational needs and requirements, through meetings (one-to-one and group), with competition organising partners (COPs), educators and industry.

• Provide technical and operational advice, guidance, and support on competition delivery to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders in education and industry.

• Undertake mid-year and annual reviews of competition organising partners (COPs) and continually seek to develop efficient quality procedures.

• Support competition organising partners (COPs) to understand programme requirements and produce key documentation to a consistent high quality and standard, submitted to agreed timeframes

2. Management of all contracts and processes associated with WorldSkills UK’s network of competition organising partners (COP’s):

Implement the competitions organising partner (COP) quality assurance and continuous improvement model and monitoring framework, to ensure the programme runs effectively through contract compliance and that key milestones are met and risks are mitigated.

• Quality assure and sign off key competition deliverables and milestones, reporting and tracking progress on centralised monitoring systems.

• Carry out monthly catch up and bi-annual reviews of competition organising partners (COPs) and support them to continually improve programme delivery resulting in a high-quality, innovative competitions and a positive competitor experience. Page 7 of 10

• Provide development support to delivery partners to raise the standard and quality of competitions delivered within their footprint, in collaboration with the Quality and Standards team. This also includes organising sector-based cluster meetings for competition organising partners to foster greater collaboration and collect, synthesise and exchange information and best practice pertinent to their particular industry or sector.

• Ensure monitoring and reporting systems are accurate and kept up to date.

• Work with the Corporate Partnerships team to manage competitions funded through an investment model.

3. Support the development of new skills competitions:

• Review, assess and implement initiatives that create future-proof skills competitions that are sustainable, responsive to employer needs and provide greater alignment to UK economic priorities.

4. Project management:

• Take ownership of allocated projects within the Operations directorate ensuring all deviations from targets (time, money, people etc.) are identified and addressed at the earliest possible stage.

• Effectively coordinate resources (including agencies, suppliers, contractors) so that all project elements are delivered to acceptable standards on time, to budget, and meet the required specification(s)/objective(s).

5. General

In addition to the key tasks and responsibilities set out above, all employees at this level are expected to:

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

The main duties of the role

• To work with the Impact and Operations teams to improve programme evaluation, including designing qualitative and quantitative impact and process evaluations.
• To lead the delivery of evaluations, including data collection, analysis and reporting.
• To act as an impact expert for the charity, using data and impact reporting internally and externally to develop IntoUniversity’s strategic goals

The Paul Mellon Centre (PMC) is looking for a qualified and highly experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager who can help us create an inclusive and inspirational workplace. Accountabilities

There are three main activities within the France team:

The Programme Coordinator will serve as the administrative officer for the team. You will support the France team as needed and have specific responsibilities for identifying and onboarding students at business schools, engineering schools and universities across France, both online (social media, email marketing, webinars) and offline (in-person campus events and sponsored events). About the position

The GMS Support Manager will be responsible for leading on the day-to-day operations of the Freedom Fund’s new Salesforce Grant Management System. The project to develop the new GMS is currently in progress, with user training expected to take place in January 2025 and the Go Live planned for February 2025.  The transition to the new system will be a significant change in the organisation’s way of working; currently the Freedom Fund’s grant management process is manual and spread over multiple different platforms.

Initially, the focus of the role will be on supporting the Freedom Fund staff as they transition to using the new system, including assisting with user training and working with the implementation partner Hyphen8 to identify and resolve any issues that arise. Following Go Live, the GMS Support Manager will be responsible for leading on administration and maintenance of the system, requiring a good technical knowledge of how Salesforce works. The role will be responsible for user training and support, leading on staff consultation for future system developments and prioritising requests. The successful candidate will also act as the main point of contact between the Freedom Fund and implementation partner Hyphen8 for both ongoing support and future development phases.

Urban Synergy, an award-winning youth empowerment charity, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partnership Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for driving the development of strategic partnerships with corporate entities and plays a pivotal role in expanding Urban Synergy's reach and impact through meaningful collaborations aligned with our mission to make a long-term positive impact on the lives of young people.

Founded in 2007, by our CEO Leila Thomas, Urban Synergy's mission is to inspire, guide, and ignite the ambitions of young people aged 9-24 years. We focus on early support to build confidence and demonstrate to young people that the world is their oyster. Through our mentoring programmes, we create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our beneficiaries by fostering personal development, building self-confidence, and providing guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Work environment

Flexible hybrid working. You will be required to travel to London on a regular basis to meet the team, and other in person meetings, sponsored events and Partner organisations.

About the Role
As the Director of Impact, Innovation, and Engagement, you’ll lead the development and implementation of groundbreaking strategies that amplify our social impact. You will be at the forefront of identifying opportunities for innovation, using data and research to drive behavioural change, and fostering strategic partnerships that will elevate our work to new heights. You will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team, coaches, and stakeholders to ensure our initiatives make the deepest possible impact.
