We are recruiting for a well know animal charity for temporary full time Supporter care officer based in central London, this post is for 6 months initially.

Brief overview of role
To play a key role as part of a busy Supporter Care team delivering outstanding multi-channel services to existing and potential supporters and donors, through the provision of high-quality supporter care, donation and fulfilment services.
To work closely with other fundraising teams and stakeholders to deliver an excellent service to a variety of supporters, including delivering fundraising stewardship activities.

The Role
To respond to donor and potential donor enquiries through multiple channels with the aim of complete supporter satisfaction and, encouraging supporters to retain or increase their support
To respond in appropriate tone and style in a timely manner with accurate information, following agreed contact structures and completing the necessary administration, such as collecting a donation or adding information onto the database
To take inbound and make outbound telephone calls/emails as required to new supporters, follow up queries, address concerns, verify details or thank donors.
To retain and manage information needed for contact management, using appropriate resources and reference materials, including preparing and sending briefs to the rest of the team and agencies/suppliers
To handle complaints from a variety of sources and respond sensitively and in line with agreed quality objectives
To contribute to the teams objectives by actively taking part in, or leading on specific projects
To recognise fundraising opportunities and promote them amongst the charitys supporters

The Candidate
Experience of working in a fundraising customer service environment, delivering stewardship activities, asking people for money, and understanding the importance of delivering excellent customer care
IT literate, across all standard Office software with experience of using databases and data collection.
Excellent call handling skills and the ability to respectfully, honestly and transparently adjust communication to different audiences, recognising the importance of diversity.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve effectively.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team and use your fundraising experience to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. As Head of Fundraising, you will lead a team of two fundraisers to develop relationships and generate income from charitable trusts, statutory sources, individuals, schools and parishes.

The fundraising team is also actively involved in service delivery and this role will be instrumental in helping to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas, as well as helping families in crisis via our Crisis Funds.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown.  Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. The organization has been in a phase of significant growth and change over the last five years and are increasingly bringing systems, data and associated functions in-house to support the record keeping and analytics they need to inform their growing operations.

Role

This is a new position. Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, you will be involved in all the duties required to maintain a complete general ledger and financial records and support financial planning/forecasting.

International Accountant Responsibilities

— The responsibilities of the International Accountant will include, but are not limited to:

International Accounting Operations

• Develop a General Ledger Chart of Accounts which supports our current grantmaking operations with the flexibility to accommodate various directions in our growth, allows easy consolidation with sister entities, and is IFRS compliant to allow us to provide regulatory and audit reporting in various jurisdictions.
• Implement optimal Chart of Accounts and processes, evaluating current and alternate accounting systems as needed and developing interface processes to existing systems as needed (HRIS, Payroll, Grants Management System, expense reporting) as needed.
• Perform duties necessary for the timely and accurate verification and recording of financial and investment (MRI/PRI) operations including general ledger, entries and reconciliations, investment portfolio tracking and transactions, international payroll, benefits and taxes.
• Work closely with Human Relations Specialist on payroll and benefits administration processes.
• Collaborate with senior management team, Operations Manager and others to determine an optimal process for reviewing and approving expenses.
• Audit corporate credit card(s).

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Assist in preparation of the annual organisational and department budgets.

General and Other

• Develop and manage relationships with accounting-related service providers as needed including in-country and global accountants, auditors, payroll and tax experts.
• Develop and maintain an asset inventory/schedule.
• Support for MRI/PRI activities as needed.
• Continually improve internal financial processes.
• Potential management of banking relationships, international wire transfer and/or other payments systems.

Qualifications

— The successful International Accountant candidate will likely reflect much of the following profile:

• Several years of progressively responsible professional experience in international accounting, ideally in an international organisation and / or in auditing / tax consulting.

Your new role

• Reporting to the Management Accountant.
• Support the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
• Ensure timely reconciliations of all bank accounts, both in the UK and overseas, including petty cash, foreign currencies, in-country trackers, credit cards, and prepaid cards.
• Working closely with the Treasury Coordinator on Income and Expenditure.
• Lead and maintain the records for Aged Receivables and provide expenditure reports to the wider stakeholders.
• Support Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are accurate. Approve payments to suppliers in accordance with relevant policies.
• Process required payments, ensuring data integrity.
• Support the Finance Manager with month-end.
• Manage month-end reconciliations, both in the UK and overseas.
• Check receipts and accurate recording of staff expenses.

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified Accountant (actively studying for a recognised CCAB qualification).
• Similar experience - Debit vs Credit entries, Purchase Ledger, Reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Strong Excel skills are required.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

About the role

The SPOT team are looking for multiple committed individuals who want to work within a street outreach team tasked with reducing rough sleeping in Southwark. This role is challenging and rewarding, for both an experienced worker who wants the autonomy and flexibility to find creative solutions or as a development role for a worker that wants to learn outreach skills and is keen to work with clients at a point where their need is acute. You will be expected to work with clients in a variety of settings and being a rough sleeper team will require an ability to do some shifts starting at 6am and others finishing at 2am.

In this role you will:

• Conduct outreach alongside a range of partners and proactively assess those found to rapidly access housing, health services and treatment
• Manage a caseload of clients suffering multiple disadvantage where there are significant barriers to rapidly accessing accommodation and services requiring relationship building and a thoughtful approach to making incremental change.
• Have an opportunity to work with a truly diverse group of clients and needs, assisting them to meaningfully change their lives for the better

For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday. 

About you

The successful candidate will be a strong good communicator who can engage with clients in a range of settings. They will also be adaptable to challenges relating to communication, be it language barriers, cultural differences or working with those who are neuro-diverse. Thisincludes the ability to convey concepts to people in a simple way that can be easily understood.

In addition, the successful candidate will have some experience of client case management and the resilience to achieve and meet agreed outcomes paired with the ability to work remotely and lone work with vulnerable people.

 Role Overview

As a Part-Time Youth Violence Reduction Youth Worker, you will support the Youth Violence Reduction Lead in managing and developing programs aimed at reducing youth violence. You will play a crucial role in the late-night safe-space sessions, working closely with at-risk young people to provide them with the support and guidance they need.

We are looking to recruit up to three candidates for this role.

 Key Responsibilities

- Support Program Management: Assist in managing and developing youth violence reduction programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively and safely.
