The role will be based in the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (PMER) team, part of the Programme Operations Team in the International Programmes Department.

About the Role:
The Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (PMER) Advisor has three main areas of focus: (1) Coordinating annual planning and reporting processes within the International Programmes Department (IPD) (2) Leading and coordinating the PMER Community of Practice and (3) Strengthening organisational capacity in PMER.

In this role, you will:
Coordinate the IPD Annual Cycle

• Coordinate the IPD planning and reporting processes (Annual Cycle), including supporting the development and roll out of new planning and reporting processes.
• Build close working relationships with IPD senior management, Regional teams and key departments including Finance, People, Communications & Fundraising to support application and ownership of planning and reporting processes.
• Lead on the development of PMER guidance and tools to support IPD planning and reporting processes.
• Identify and support regular reviews and adjustments to Annual Cycle processes

Lead the coordination of the PMER Community of Practice

• Lead the coordination of the PMER Community of Practice and organise and chair the Community of Practice Steering Group. The PMER Community of Practice is an informal group designed to facilitate the sharing of learning and best practice among WaterAid staff, especially PMER staff.
• Lead on PMER Community of Practice communications including the CoP communications strategy, quarterly PMER inductions, trainings and learning sessions and communicating regular PMER updates.
• Ensure that the PMER Community of Practice is active, incentivising participation in COP activities e.g. drop in clinics, webinars, discussions etc.

Strengthen organisational PMER capacity

• Develop and manage effective PMER capacity strengthening initiatives to support the application of the PMER core procedures and especially Reporting processes. This includes developing new and strengthening existing PMER guidance and tools and developing and delivering training.
• Provide remote and/or face-to-face support to Country Programmes and Regional Teams on an ad hoc basis to strengthen and build capacity in PMER
• Support any other relevant processes including administrative tasks within the remit of PMER as required

External Representation

• Represent WaterAid externally on key PMER issues, linking with key networks as appropriate

About You:

• Experience of coordinating and rolling out complex reporting processes, working with a range of stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Experience of building engagement of colleagues on a specific area of work, in-person or remotely
• Experience of strengthening the skills and capacities of others either face-to-face or remotely
• Good understanding of planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting concepts and approaches
• Experience of writing reports fluently in English based on analysing and presenting complex information to a variety of audiences
• A self-starter, able to work independently and drive tasks forward to completion, escalating issues where appropriate
• Ability to travel internationally for up to 4 weeks per year
• Commitment to WaterAid's values and a working style that reflects these.

Desirable skills

• Experience in an international development organisation
• Specific qualifications or training in project planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
• Knowledge of maintaining and managing online information platforms such as SharePoint
• Fluent in written and spoken French, Spanish or Portuguese or another language widely spoken within a WaterAid Country Programme

SignHealth is partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Credit Controller on a permanent, full-time basis. SignHealth aims to improve healthcare and access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research and health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. This role will be responsible for the collection of service contract debtors, as well as care fees from self-funding and local government authority residents. The role will interact with a wide range of stakeholders and will deliver excellent customer service – working proactively to reduce any barriers to debt collection and to improving SignHealth’s debt collection processes at a time the organisation is forecast to grow rapidly and significantly.

The key responsibilities of this Credit Controller role include:

• Raise all sales invoices (recurring and ad hoc), for SignHealth in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work with the Accountant and Head of Finance to develop and maintain accurate invoicing schedules.
• Work with colleagues across SignHealth to ensure that accurate invoices are raised – e.g. to account for changes in service delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure prompt payment and resolution of billing disputes
• Proactively chase outstanding debts through telephone calls, emails and letters
• Perform monthly sales ledger reconciliations and check for anomalies, work with other finance team members to reconcile statements to the accounts
• Provide regular debtor status reports to the Accountant and Head of Finance – contribute to the development of management information for ELT including the cash flow forecast and debtor aging – as well as drafting written commentary for the management accounts
• Maintain accurate contact and contract information for all customers
• Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements and recommend internal process improvements
• Take an active role in aiding managers’ and team members’ understanding of their financial responsibilities

The Water Security Senior Advisor is a senior position in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the Water Security Lead. IPD operates in 17 African and Asian countries. PSK is a diverse and motivated group of 20+ technical specialists and advisors, passionate about bringing sustainable WASH to the world's poorest and most marginalised people. PSK leads and supports organisation-wide programme learning and knowledge management, collating and disseminating programme knowledge and facilitating knowledge exchange.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Water Security Lead, the Senior Advisor Water Security co-leads the delivery of core team responsibilities regarding the thematic areas of water and other closely associated topics. Applying a people-centered, systems strengthening approach to WASH, they provide high-quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid's programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.

In collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues, they co-lead the facilitation of effective learning and management of technical and programme knowledge across the organisation, and co-leads the development of relevant standards and guidance.

The Water Security Senior Advisor will:

Provide and coordinate targeted technical support to Wateraid programming (approximately 50% of time)

• Provide in-depth strategic and technical advisory support on water security, water resources and environment, catchment and watershed protection, hydrogeology, water supply, water quality, services delivery and management models, engineering and procurement, assets management, resilience, sustainability, and/or other inter-related topics for high quality WASH programming in both urban and rural, low-income settings, including households, schools, health care facilities and/or other relevant public places, incorporating WaterAid's and the sector's leading practices, innovations and methods.
• Coordinate with other technical colleagues for coherent embedding of cross-cutting topics such as gender, climate, systems strengthening, finance, and partnerships.
• Provide high quality, detailed technical analysis and advisory support to project design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments.
• Co-lead the facilitation of thought leadership on these technical topics across the organisation. Act as a subject-matter authority.

Support programme learning and knowledge management (approx. 15% time)

• Co-lead capturing of organisational programme knowledge and experience on water-related topics.
• Co-lead facilitation of effective learning and knowledge management on these topics across the organisation. Guide and support country and regional colleagues to do the same.
• Identify knowledge and implementation gaps on these topics. Coordinate with relevant teams to develop and carry out practical research plans.

Support development of programme guidance and standards (approx. 5% time)

• Co-lead the development of water-related normative frameworks, standards and guidance materials for both internal and external audiences in collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues.
• Support country, regional and global colleagues to develop a consistent understanding and application of water-related technical considerations into WaterAid's core programme work, and in applying relevant guidance, standards and considerations to their specific context.

Support fundraising, external engagement, and communications (approx. 20% time)

• Support donor engagement, intelligence gathering, and preparation of funding proposals.
• Provide strategic technical input into specific strategic initiatives and positioning alongside the other advisors.
• Coordinate with other teams in jointly engaging the WASH sector at all levels. Foster, promote and support global WASH related networks to enhance WaterAid's ability to share its experience and to learn from others.

Contribute to team processes (approx. 10% time)

• Be an integral part of the PSK team, helping to ensure the integration of our support work and a joined-up articulation of our core framing materials.
• Support PSK annual planning, budgeting, and reporting processes

About You:

• Strong technical experience in water supply engineering, groundwater development, water resource and environmental management, catchment and watershed protection, hydrogeology, water quality, service delivery and management models, procurement, asset management, resilience building, sustainability, and/or other inter-related topics across different settings, demonstrated through a progressive career record.
• A relevant post-Graduate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong experience in offering technical assistance, consulting, and/or advisory services to empower and to develop capacities.
• Ability to handle highly specialized, unusual, and challenging technical assignments, resolve complex issues in practical and imaginative ways.
• Strong writing ability in English. Experienced in producing practical knowledge products targeting the needs of diverse audiences.
• Working style that reflects WaterAid's values of Respect, Accountability, Courage, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.
• Solid IT skills, particularly with core Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Relevant technical experience in systems strengthening, sustainable development, sanitation, hygiene, behaviour change, health, gender, inclusion, environment and/or other WASH-related topics.
• Working knowledge in French, Portuguese, Spanish, and/or any language widely spoken in the countries where WaterAid has programming.

We are looking for a quick-thinking, organised, insightful and analytical intern to join our consulting team. Your role as an Intern in our Consulting Team 

As a member of the consulting team (after sufficient training) you will be given the opportunity to work on some of Scriptoria’s exciting international consulting projects alongside senior team members. The work will be varied and will involve working closely with our team of developers to conceptualise and design our specialist project-management software for international development and research organisations. You will therefore have excellent communication skills to translate the needs of the clients into actionable instructions for the data team.
