What we are looking for:

People & Culture

Lead the review and development of HR policies and processes to ensure that they embody People’s Economy’s values, and support effective working and staff wellbeing, drawing in external expertise as necessary.

Lead the development and implementation of recruitment processes for staff vacancies, ensuring compliance with People’s Economy’s recruitment policy and employment law.

Lead the implementation of formal HR processes e.g. disciplinary processes, contract variations, and act as the key point of contact with People’s Economy’s external HR advisers.

Contribute to the development of organisational culture and values and ensure that they are embedded, promoted and enacted throughout the organisation.

Lead review and development of People’s Economy’s safeguarding policy, processes and practice including staff and trustee training.

Lead the work to build and maintain staff health and safety and wellbeing, through developing appropriate systems, processes and practices.

Undertake day-to-day HR administration, including leave booking and sickness absence recording.
Operations

Develop policies, systems and processes to support the effective functioning of the organisation and (with support from the Programme Director) which support the implementation of programme and project delivery.

Lead on regularly reviewing and updating People’s Economy’s remote and hybrid working policies and supporting colleagues to access suitable equipment and workspace to carry out their roles.

Support the Programme Director set up and manage the operation of People’s Economy’s monitoring, evaluation and learning systems and their embedding across the organisation.

Support the Executive Director to implement People’s Economy’s Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression (DIAO) policy and lead the annual process of reviewing and updating the policy, and relevant organisational systems and processes to support the implementation of the policy.
Finance

Lead People’s Economy’s financial management and control, including:

Manage People’s Economy’s book-keeping and payroll providers to ensure that high quality records of income and expenditure are maintained and the smooth operation of supplier payments, invoicing, payroll and pensions contributions.

Oversee the timely production of regular financial reporting including management accounts, cash forecasting and quarterly reporting to the Board. Scrutinise regular finance reports and work to resolve any issues identified.

Liaise with People’s Economy’s accountant and manage the annual process of independent examination and producing year-end reports and accounts.

Lead on financial planning, including the preparation of an annual organisational budget and lead on updating budget information throughout the year.

Create systems and processes to support staff to develop and manage budgets for the programmes and projects that they are leading.

With support from the Executive Director, lead the development of organisational business plans and monitoring of progress against them, including reporting on progress to the Trustee Board.

Lead on maintaining robust and up-to-date information about the organisation’s income pipeline.

Lead on fundraising administration:

Track progress against income targets ensuring information is kept up to date and regularly updating the Executive Director on the position.

We are looking for a dynamic new team member with a PhD in a science/STEM subject to join our innovative Consulting Team and to contribute to the work of our Data and Training Teams. Agriculture and the health sciences are areas we are particularly interested in.

The other half of your time will involve meeting with and training clients (to pass on your skills in research communications), both online and through face-to-face courses. Our senior team has an exceptional skill set, and we recognise that candidates with all the skills we need simply may not exist. But don’t worry, if you have some of the skills we want but lack others – we will train you to fill those gaps. Our staff have the choice to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, SW London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings/training sessions with clients.
Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with senior team members to gain new skills and exchange ideas.

This role will play a key role in delivering our ambitious policy influencing programme, helping to develop and advocate for the policy changes needed to reduce, prevent and eventually end the need for food banks in the UK. It will focus on developing Trussell policy positions in either employment support (especially for people with barriers to work) or disability and sickness benefits. Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have demonstrative success in securing up to six figure partnerships. You will have proven experience of devising budgets and project plans and reporting against them. WorkWell is an exciting new government/DWP initiative to get people back to work. As well as providing work placement support, it will also address and support any physical or mental health needs via a Mental Health Provider and Physical Health Advisor who form part of the team. The pilot in Surrey will be going live in December and aims to empower people to take control of their health, wellbeing and any impacts this is having on their employment. That’s where you come in.

JOB PURPOSE
As part of the Corporate Partnerships team in the Fundraising and Development directorate, Partnership Development is responsible for leading on securing new, high-value, strategic partnerships to support our vision of ensuring that no child or young person is too hungry to learn now and for good.
As the Partnership Development Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the development and delivery of the new business strategy, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to pull together and deliver compelling proposals and pitches. The role will line manage the Senior Partnership Development Manager and Partnership Development Manager, working together to achieve the goals and priorities of the team. You will also create, embed and monitor key new business processes such as pipeline management, income forecasting and reporting, and work with the wider Fundraising team to deliver our fundraising strategy.

We are seeking a dynamic Family Finding Social Worker or Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high-quality family finding service for the London Borough of Hillingdon, for children with a plan for adoption.
The post holder will be one of two professionals responsible for family finding for children with a care plan of adoption within the local area.
The post holder will be part of a small and very supportive team to develop practise and skills in this area. The post holder will also be able to have access resources and services within Hillingdon to support this role and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. This role will function as 6 month fixed contract with the possibility of an extension to offer continuity to the children we are family finding for.
