About Home-Start:
We are a community-based charity with 30 years’ experience of supporting local families with children under the age of 5. We offer our combination of home-visiting, counselling and group support to families across Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere districts. Working closely with colleagues from across the organisation and our contacts within the community, the successful applicant will support the external communications of the charity, helping to extend the reach of the charity. Raising awareness, developing donor and supporter relationships, working with the Directors to identify and develop funding streams.
The role:
As a Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer, you will play a vital role in helping our charity manage and develop relationships with our donors, supporters and our existing key relationships, whilst identifying and creating new relationships in our local areas to garner support and promote our services.
- You will be responsible for delivering activity to maximise fundraising from our community, including schools, individuals, local businesses and community groups. You will proactively recruit, grow and nurture supporters, empowering them to manage their own fundraising activities.
- You will manage our annual challenge event programme from supporter engagement, assisting fundraisers journey and utilising tools to maximise supporter’s impact.
- Crucial to your role will be building strong and lasting relationships with supporters, colleagues and volunteers, positively engaging with members of the public and maximising all fundraising opportunities.
What you’ll do:Principle duties and responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the delivery of effective Community Engagement and Fundraising.
- Actively promote all aspects of Home-Start Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere to local businesses, schools, community organisations, volunteer groups, and individuals.
- Motivate and influence supporters to independently manage their own fundraising activities, with your support, being the main contact for supporters.
- Work closely the Business Support Officer to manage and create social media content to promote fundraising activities, relationships with supporters and the relationships you build in the community.
- Prepare and deliver individualised communications, presentations and assemblies for a diverse range of audiences.
- Attend and run activities at a variety of community events when required, to ensure a strong presence from Home-Start Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere in the communities where we support.
- Identify and implement new fundraising opportunities and initiatives.
- Work closely with the other Community engagement and fundraisers, building on local knowledge, sharing best practice and creating a peer circle of support, including peers from HSUK our parent company.
- Act as an advocate within the community. Uphold our values, and communicate with enthusiasm, credibility, conviction and knowledge.
- This role will require occasional weekend and evening working.
- Keep up to date with all fundraising legal implications.
- You will be responsible for creating our quarterly newsletter, working with the rest of the team, to engage with our supporters.
- Create Bi-monthly board reports on the growth of community engagement, communications and fundraising, which will go directly to the trustee board. Occasional attendance at board, building a relationship with a trustee identified to manage fundraising.
- Annually, you will lead on the creation of the annual report and social impact reporting working across the team.
- Creating strong relationships with local magazines and identifying and managing news tools to ensure that we are sharing our successes and informing our audiences of our services. Occasionally creating press releases for campaigns and building a network of people to help share our news as far and wide as possible.
- You will also be involved in the updating of our website, working with the Business Support Officer and volunteers to ensure our website remains the best tool to advertise what we do.
- Creating and nurturing a small group of fundraising support volunteers to help facilitate events and share our story in the community.
What you’ll bring:Experience
- Preferable, fundraising experience of 1 year, in a community engagement or fundraising role in the charity sector.
- Demonstrable experience in building relationships within the community and with fundraisers.
- Demonstrable experience in managing your own income budget and monitoring expenditure against agreed targets. Analysis of income data, identifying trends, evaluating activity and ROI, and ensuring key learnings and insight are fed into planning and budgeting of future activity as appropriate.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating events, campaigns and initiatives.
- Familiarity with donor databases, CRM systems, and fundraising software.
- Able to provide direction, energy and capability to lead fundraising volunteers at community events.
- Understanding of fundraising principles, best practices, and ethical standards.
- Knowledge of Community Engagement and different fundraising channels.

Senior Social Media Officer
We are looking for a social media expert who thrives on planning, creating and delivering high quality content across social media channels (Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube).

The Role
The objectives of the Communications and Campaigns team are to increase the public profiles of organisation and its partner charity, mobilise public support to bring about change and ensure that all colleagues are aware of, bought into and engaged in contributing to the values and direction of the charities.
Main duties include:

As the Senior Social Media Officer, you will have experience of planning, creating and scheduling engaging content across multiple social media channels, while optimising content by channel and audience. With an eye for detail and excellent project management skills, you will work with colleagues to generate content and meet deadlines
You will also have experience of:
- Using creative design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro - desirable).
- Analysing performance of social media content and refining and improving content through iteration.
- Being a brand guardian and supporting others to use brand and tone of voice guidelines.

The Trustees of St Neots Foodbank are looking for a new Foodbank Manager to join our amazing team of volunteers. We are a community-led operation that is based on, shaped, and guided by Christian principles. We believe no-one in our community should have to face going hungry.
St Neots Foodbank was founded ten years ago by the town’s churches; and is part of the Trussell Trust network and is still managed by trustees from those churches. At St Neots Foodbank we have our own warehouse and run four distribution centres across St Neots each week; all currently staffed by over 70 volunteers.

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations at St Neots Foodbank, giving particular attention to operational efficiency and standards in line with the terms of the franchise, including the implementation of existing policies and standard operating processes. You will be instrumental in enabling our Foodbank to continue to support our community and support and guide its future development.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience and be able to demonstrate great leadership qualities to build strong teams based on trust and understanding. Self-motivation, organisation and excellent interpersonal skills will be essential for this role. We are looking for an individual who is in sympathy with Christian values, and who has the ability to work empathetically with people from disadvantaged, marginalised, or socially excluded backgrounds.

The Director of Programmes and Partnerships is responsible for ensuring The Diana Award delivers quality impactful programmes and develops strong strategic partnerships that harness young people's power and potential to change the world. This role is one of four Director-level positions within the organisation, forming the Senior Leadership Team alongside the CEO.
The Programmes Directorate currently comprises four teams: Anti-Bullying, Mentoring, Social Action, and Impact and Influence, with a staff count of 25 plus a pool of associate trainers. The Diana Award’s programme strategy (2021-2026) focuses on embedding evidence-driven, youth-led approaches across our programmes, enhancing our profile as a platform for youth-led social action, and increasing our influence on policies affecting young people.
The Director of Programmes and Partnerships will work collaboratively with other members of SLT and the CEO to drive forward the organisation’s strategy and plans as set out in The Diana Award’s five-year strategy, Future Forward, and play a vital role in shaping the new strategy.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Leadership
- Drive the organisation’s strategy and vision as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, taking key decisions in the best interest of the organisation.
- Promote best practices across the organisation, including equal opportunities, risk management, data protection, safeguarding, health and safety, volunteer management, continuous improvement, and staff support and development.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders across public, private, and third sectors to ensure high-quality delivery of all The Diana Award’s programmes.
- Represent The Diana Award at external events and act as a media spokesperson as required.
- Prepare reports for the board of trustees and participate in board meetings.
Programme Strategy
- Provide leadership for programmes that deliver high impact, co-designed integrated approaches, which put young people at the centre of design and delivery in line with our theory of change.
- Lead the design, delivery, and review of The Diana Award’s programme strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and conducting quarterly reviews to monitor progress.
- Work with the Impact and Influence team to embed evidence-based programming within the directorate, developing and rolling out appropriate systems and processes for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
- Oversee The Diana Award’s policy function, supporting the Policy team and heads of teams to develop and embed policy objectives within programme plans, contribute to policy development, and identify opportunities to engage policymakers with our work.
- Identify and develop cross-cutting workstreams and initiatives to support the programme strategy and assist programme managers in their implementation.

About the role
For the past five years, Platform’s fossil free work has focused on the coordination of the activist network UK Divest, with the aim to disrupt the financing of the fossil fuel industry through local government pension schemes. In the past two years, the remit of our work has expanded, to include new campaigns focused on exposing and disrupting fossil fuel industry sportswashing and the lobbying of Parliament. Now, with new campaigning underway on new targets in the pension sector, we are re-organising and growing our team to resource this exciting work.
Working alongside three Fossil Free Campaigners at Platform - and partners at Friends of the Earth Scotland - you will build on the strengths and learnings of past years to lead the strategic development of this important programme of work, incorporating UK Divest, Fossil Free Parliament, fossil free sports work, and new pensions work.
Our fossil free campaign is also inextricably tied to other movements for social justice. We are specifically seeking someone to develop the international solidarity potential of this work, understanding how fossil fuels are intertwined with the defence industry, colonialism, and global extraction more broadly. We want to target investment in and political support for fossil fuel companies because we believe it is intricately linked to broader global justice, such as the UK Government’s role in supporting destructive energy projects worldwide. The best divestment and anti-fossil fuel campaigning has been, and your future work will be, informed by and responsive to the BDS movement, the Global Energy Embargo for Palestine and anti-apartheid and arms trade work.
As a permanent member of Platform staff, you will also participate in the collective decision-making and running of Platform as an organisation, as well as having fundraising responsibilities alongside your project work.

Hours: 4 days (32 hours per week based on a 40 hour week)
Contract: Permanent contract, subject to 6 months’ probationary period.
Salary: Baseline salary is £42,248 pro rata (£33,791 at 4 days a week) and is subject to Platform’s Socially Just Waging System.

The Volunteering & Recruitment Co-ordinator will be a valuable member of the HR & Operations Team at Richmond Borough Mind. We are a diverse and well-established charity with a workforce of approximately 60 staff and 140 volunteers, and our team deliver a broad range of mental health support services for the community including Counselling, Peer Group Activities, Mental Health Training and Crisis Support. Our service was co-developed back in 2015 by VoiceAbility and people who use the services. Your role will require you to provide one-to-one support for service users as they are discharged from the Crisis team, setting personal goals with the service user for recovery, developing ways with the service user on how to keep well and identifying their own personal sources of support. About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team in the Camden Crisis Teams. We are looking for both full and part time staff, (working hours to be agreed, however, our service runs Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am-5pm), on a permanent contract. Reporting directly to the Connections Team Leader.
Your role will require you to provide one-to-one support for service users, setting personal goals with the service user for recovery, developing ways with the service user on how to keep well and identifying their own personal sources of support. This will involve work and travel within the Borough of Camden but will be based at in one of the Crisis Team offices either at Daleham Gardens or St Pancras Hospital. The post is a permanent contract with a starting salary between £24,500 - £31,500 pro rata depending on experience.
How will you make a difference?
You will work with the Peer Support Team and draw upon lived experience to assist service users to move forward positively. Acting as a specialist resource to provide a unique perspective to service users.
You will hold a small caseload to allow regular sessions to be held with the service user, maintaining confidential records, utilising VoiceAbility and NHS electronic records system. Planning, implementation of and review of care packages, including parts of the individual care plan.

About the role
Our Surrey Volunteer Recruitment Manager (VRM), who must be based in or very close to Surrey, works closely with VRMs in Herts and London and our marketing team to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals. About SCEC
SCEC was founded over twenty years ago to provide learning enrichment opportunities to primary school children in disadvantaged communities in south London. Together with our partners, several leading independent schools, we currently operate four schemes in math, literacy, science and art. Your Role
The Scheme Director is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping SCEC extend its reach. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will help SCEC design and implement an expansion programme as well as coordinating the delivery of the existing schemes via our school partners. Bath Welcomes Refugees (BWR) is a small charity established in 2016 by volunteers with the initial intention of supporting Syrian Refugees. Since then, there have been growing crises across in the world, Afghanistanand Ukraine being the most significant recently.
We provide a wide range of support to those seeking refuge and to make a new life in Bath and the surrounding area. Whilst we work with other local charities and agencies to provide the support needed by an ever-growing number of refugees and asylum seekers BWR depends on its 250 volunteers and their enthusiasm, invaluable expertise, experience and dedication to provide a range of support to those seeking refuge and to make a new life in Bath.
BWR is looking to recruit a part time Volunteer Coordinator on an initial one-year contract. Reporting to the Operations Officer you will be responsible for recruiting, overseeing induction, training as well as the day-to-day coordination and supervision of our volunteers.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be

Outline of the Role

- You will work with and provide support to the Operations Officer, Team Leaders, the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Support Coordinator and to ensure we provide appropriate resources to support our families and individuals to meet their individual specific needs.
- Assess the suitability of volunteersin their allotted volunteer role, in conjunction with the Team leader, prior to the end of their probationary period and identify the need for additional training or other support required for the volunteer to be successful in their role.
- Provide information about the work of BWR to potential volunteers and promote volunteering in the wider community to identify potential volunteers.
- Maintaining our Case Management System.
- Liaising with the Communications Team in relation to the website and other digital communications in respect of volunteer activity.
- This is an initial one-year contract, with hybrid working (office and home). The role will require flexibility to attend meetings, liaising with refugee families and asylum seekers either during the day, evening or at weekends within the Bath and surrounding area.
The role is based on 29 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £25-27k full time equivalent (commensurate with experience).
The role will require an enhanced DBS check.
