Drinkaware is a leading charity concerned with reducing harm from alcohol. We do this by providing impartial, evidence-based information and advice and practical resources; raising awareness of alcohol harms; and working in partnership with others to deliver behaviour change through our tools and interventions. The Trust is funded primarily through voluntary, unrestricted donations from alcohol producers, wholesalers, and on- and off-trade retailers, but acts entirely independently.

Purpose of the role

We have a brilliant new opportunity for an exceptional leader to join our team, to help shape the provision of our advice, information and guidance programmes and ensuring the successful delivery of a range of priority partnerships.

Leading a dynamic team, you’ll focus on operational excellence, refining processes, and ensuring all programmes align with Drinkaware’s strategic goals and priorities.  You will be a natural collaborator, building and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that the public can access high quality impactful support.

As an experienced leader, you will use your experience and skill to drive improvements by partnering with teams across Drinkaware. You will do this by balancing engagement with progress, while ensuring that our work is informed by lived experience and the latest evidence.

You must have demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in the health sector and have a passion for reducing alcohol harm in the UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Be collectively accountable as part of the Senior Management Team for leading and managing Drinkaware ensuring high performance in the delivery of plans and targets and maximum cross-organisational collaboration, deputising for the Director of Operations & Programmes

· Be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of operations & programmes, overseeing and directing interconnected projects ensuring consistency in programme and project work.

· For 2025/26 this will focus on the roll out of our Information, Advice & Guidance programmes and extended brief intervention programmes to the public via digital tools to a mass audience and to underserved groups.

· The post holder will be required to manage a small dedicated team ensuring that robust project plans, clear goals, timelines and resources are established and managed as well dependencies within and between projects.

· Act as a Safeguarding Officer ensuring safeguarding is embedded within all programme delivery.

· Proactively address challenges and seeks solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity. Holding themselves and their team accountable for delivering results aligned with the organisation's objectives.

· The post holder will work closely with the Head of Impact ensuring partnership projects deliver impact, clear metrics and reports which demonstrate the project(s) value proposition to our funder base, stakeholders in government and the public.

· Work closely with the Marketing and Comms team to ensure highly effective marketing and communications strategies are progressed for individual projects and the wider programme of activity, and that brand and reputational risk is minimised.

· Work closely with the Digital Team to ensure full visibility and informed prioritisation of digital projects and interdependencies.

· Work closely with the Partnerships Team to ensure successful delivery of all agreed activity and KPI’s for partnerships

Proven leadership experience in programme/project management, with a background in the health sector. A degree in a related field is beneficial but not essential. 

Experience of managing a team in a hybrid work environment (desirable).

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role is new and exciting and will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our Mass Participation strategy.

The Head of Mass Participation Fundraising is responsible for overseeing our mass fundraising team. Leading the Events, Community and Individual Giving teams to maximise income and to introduce and lead on a new and exciting mass participation programme. Developing outstanding supporter relationships and delivering long-term sustainable income through innovative, audience led fundraising.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  

Specific Duties 

Leadership

• To lead and inspire the Mass Participation team fostering a collaborative and high performing culture that delivers against income and objectives

Mass Participation Fundraising

Strategy, Planning and reporting

Collaboration

• In collaboration with the Marketing Communications team, oversee the development of compelling integrated fundraising acquisition and engagement plans
• Liaise with trustees’ internal stakeholders to develop Mass fundraising activity, and contribute to reporting for trustees and SLT as required

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with supermarkets, volunteer recruitment channels and venues to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will have experience of programme planning and delivery, and working with volunteers. You will be experienced in building relationships with a range of stakeholders, and be passionate about food and cooking.​

There will be frequent travel to our projects in the North East, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​

The Role

As a Partnerships & Philanthropy Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of high-value supporters across corporate, philanthropic, and charitable trust income streams. You will support the cultivation and recruitment of supporters to the high-value giving club, while collaborating closely with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Team to develop and deliver impactful, multi-year partnerships that help to provide essential healthcare support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with a diverse portfolio of philanthropic and corporate supporters, creating bespoke solicitation and stewardship plans.

About the role

This is a pivotal role within individual giving. Helping to plan and develop fundraising strategy and budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.

As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals. In addition, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.

About you

As a small, mission-driven charity, we are seeking a highly organised and reliable Freelance Executive Assistant to support our CEO and Operations Director, enabling them to focus on strategic delivery, fundraising, and programme development.

You will be confident, efficient, and values-driven, able to provide high-level administrative support and coordination. You will play a vital role in keeping our senior leadership organised and on track, ensuring smooth communication to enable the team to collaborate across all the activities and projects.

Key Responsibilites

This vital role will enable the leadership team to focus on strategic goals, fundraising, and programme delivery—by ensuring smooth day-to-day coordination behind the scenes. Working closely with the Operations Director, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Provide direct administrative and scheduling support to the CEO and Operations Director.

· Coordinate calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements.

· Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and presentations.

· Manage digital filing systems and ensure documents are well organised.

· Carry out ad hoc tasks and small projects to support the smooth running of the charity.

· Coordinate and support the implementation and monitoring of internal policies.

· Support recruitment and onboarding processes including DBS checks and safeguarding training.

· Support the management of internal systems, team collaboration, and operational record-keeping.

Requirements

Essential:

· Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a senior administrative support role.

· Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Confident working independently and managing a busy workload.

· Professional, discreet, and experienced in handling confidential information.

· A good working knowledge of Salesforce

· Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting tools (Zoom/Teams).

Desirable:

· Experience in the not-for-profit, mental health, or education sectors.

· Familiarity with charity governance and trustee liaison.

Shine’s Health Team 

Shine’s Health Team provides condition-specific health advice and support to people of all ages with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, NPH or IIH, promoting good self-management and enabling our members to live in optimum health.  The Team also aims to reduce the numbers of pregnancies affected by spina bifida and anencephaly through education around supplementation and fortification with folic acid, and other measures. 

Purpose of Job 

The Shine Nurse Specialist will deliver services and create resources to improve the health of Shine’s members, by informing members, their carers and professionals 

Principal Duties 

• To provide ad hoc advice to Shine’s members, their carers  and professionals on complex health issues, and signpost to NHS services 

• To attend and represent Shine at the Chelsea & Westminster Spina Bifida Clinic (for permanent role)

• To collect information, statistics and research from a variety of sources to inform Shine’s health projects 

• To create resources to inform and support members’ health 

• To develop training/information resources for professionals 

• To plan and deliver projects, events, presentations and information sessions for members and professionals 

• To provide an information resource for Shine staff 

• To form and engage with networks of health professionals 

• To represent Shine at events and meetings 

• To work closely with the Health Research & Information Coordinator to produce and disseminate health information to Shine members and the general public 

Skills and Experience 

Essential 

• Professional/Registered Health Qualification, for example:

  • Adult Nursing 

  • Paediatric Nursing 

  • Registered General Nurse 

• Experience of searching scientific and medical literature, collating information and writing reports

We are recruiting for a Legal Clinic Manager (maternity cover) who will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Dickson Poon School of Law’s award-winning clinic, King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’).  The Clinic aims to improve access to justice and educate King’s students by providing free legal advice to members of the public through its Legal Advice Clinic; and working with local and international organisations on research and justice projects.

The Clinic is a busy legal office and learning environment.  Clinic staff work closely and collaboratively with law students (curricular and extracurricular) and a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

About the role

The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’), under the direction of the Clinic Director and Assistant Director. The Legal Clinic Manager has line management responsibility for the Legal Clinic Coordinator and Legal Clinic Administrator.

Daily Clinic activities include supervising students in the processing of potential client enquires across the in-house Legal clinics; suitability and conflict checks with law firm partners; allocation of cases to student advisors and internal and external supervisors; delivery and organisation of the Clinic’s research and justice projects and training program.

The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring the Clinic works smoothly, efficiently and is a positive learning environment and workplace for students and Clinic staff.

The role holder must have excellent organisational, IT, project management, and communication skills.  An ability to relate to and work with a diverse range of students, partner organisations and clients. The position is likely to be of particular interest to a well-organised, proactive individual with experience of working in and managing in a legal environment and/or Higher Education with good academic qualifications. A background in legal practice and/or process improvement work, and demonstrable interest in access to justice is desirable.

The role is a full-time post (1FTE) offered on a 12 months fixed term contract, starting in the first week of July 2025 with the possibility of extension.  The role is based in King’s Legal Clinic (Strand Campus) and will require regular attendance on campus.  Some remote working is possible by prior agreement with the Clinic Director.
