About the role:

About the Role:

Who we are looking for:
Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.
Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.
Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.
Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, displaying a commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail.

The Audience Insight team is a key function to help us on this journey. We help the organisation to understand opportunities to grow support, deepen engagement with existing supporters and optimise our communications and fundraising products. We have an exciting opportunity in our team: we are looking someone exceptional to join as our supporter insight analyst for 12 months, while the permanent post holder goes on maternity leave. In this role, you will be responsible for generating actionable insight into supporter engagement to help us optimise our activities and communications; ensuring that we are talking to our supporters about the things that they're interested in, in the right media and with the right frequency and evaluating responses in order to continually improve and deepen our supporter engagement.

Essential Skills

Growing Well is a farm-based mental health charity originating on Low Sizergh Farm near Kendal and recently expanding to a second site at Tebay Services (Northbound), and a third in Egremont, West Cumbria.
The horticultural context is key to our charity as it provides a safe, supportive working environment to nurture mental health recovery. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager for Growing Well's site at Tebay Services (Northbound) in the Eden Valley, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
The role of the Manager (Tebay) is to:
- Manage the day-to-day operations at Growing Well’s 1.5-acre Tebay site and ensure that at all times our site is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run. This includes:
- Safe and efficient service delivery
- Effective delivery of annual crop plan and supply chain management
- Financial management of the Tebay enterprise
- Legal and Health and Safety management of the site
- Manage the delivery of therapeutic activity, skills development and support for up to 100 Volunteers (beneficiaries) per week.
- Line manage Tebay staff team (5 direct reports).
- Manage local fundraising and marketing initiatives with support from Growing Well Development Team colleagues.

Emmaus Oxford is looking for a Charity retail Deputy Store Manager to join our retail management team running our large charity superstore in Cowley Oxford. Emmaus provides housing support and meaning occupation in our social enterprise to up to 28 ex-homeless men and women [known in Emmaus as Companions]. As well as providing retail management the role also involves coaching and training companions and working closely with our team of Progression Workers and Learning & Development Manager. Emmaus collects donations of furniture and household goods from across Oxfordshire and these are sold in our superstore in Cowley and through our online sales business. Proceeds from sales make a major contribution towards our housing & support service. The role is Fulltime [37.5 hr per week] will involve some weekend working and key holding responsibility. About the role
Working as a member of Groundwork’s Local Programmes Team the postholder will develop, deliver and sustain programmes of waste education activity and learning and with communities across South Tyne and Wear. The post will be based at the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership’s (STWWMP) Visitor and Education Centre at the Campground Waste Transfer Station. This facility is operated by SUEZ and is the regions first centre for dedicated waste education opportunities. This post will provide a valuable resource for Groundwork, the Waste Partnership and SUEZ to achieve their respective organisational objectives.
A bit about you
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced staff member to develop and lead a programme of community waste education activity across the South Tyne and Wear Partnership area as part of the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership PFI.
You will have a proven track record of successful project development and delivery backed with appropriate qualifications. Excellent communication skills and an ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of partners are essential. Experience of waste and recycling initiatives and a passion for working in local communities, ideally in educational and awareness raising settings, are required.
Based in a purpose built facility you will work largely autonomously to engage and encourage school visits and community ownership. You will develop and deliver an exciting programme of waste education sessions suitable for a range of centre users. Working five days a week the post will require outreach work across the South Tyne and Wear area as well as regular evening and weekend work.

We are currently looking for an Endowment Accountant and Business Partner to work with our busy and growing Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Business partnership
- Provide a full business partnering support to the Endowment business unit:
- Build, maintain and develop effective relationships with members of the Endowment team and work closely with them to improve mutual knowledge and financial understanding.
- Serve as a key partner to Endowment leadership, acting as a ‘critical friend’ by challenging assumptions and activities were necessary to ensure alignment of strategic and financial goals.
- Develop the business partner role into one that is fully able to proactively support strategic decision making, provide forward-looking insight and analysis, deliver effective financial performance information, and support the development of a culture of value-for-money within the Endowment.
Accounting, reporting, budgeting and planning
- Perform the accounting for the property and financial investing activities of the business unit, including property rental income and expenditure derived from third party managers’ reports.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements which are tailored to both the Endowment’s and the wider organisation’s needs and aligned with their structures.
- Prepare regular short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, and support cash management within the endowment as well as across the wider group.
- Develop and track key performance indicators.
- Develop and produce effective dashboards and other reporting to provide insight and support decision making.
- Lead from a finance perspective the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Endowment, and support their integration into the wider organisation’s processes.
- Support the annual property valuation process.
Data insight and integrity
- Have a thorough understanding of the management, maintenance, flow and reconciliation of the financial data relating to the Endowment across multiple systems.
- Conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, trends, and performance metrics to derive insights and offer recommendations for informed decision-making.
- Use advanced financial modelling and analytics to produce actionable insights.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data for the endowment portfolio.
Collaboration
- Support the Endowment team with any new process, including working with other teams to ensure end-to-end financial integrity.
- Support investment processes by assisting with KYC and overseas tax forms.
- Collaborate effectively within the Finance team to enhance performance and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
- Work with internal/external auditors and other stakeholders are required.
- Support governance processes by providing necessary financial information and analysis.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Knowledge and qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified accounting technician (e.g. AAT) – desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of the accounting framework and financial challenges for the property and financial investment sectors.
- Strategic financial knowledge.
Experience
- Demonstrable success in preparing management information related to property and investment activities.
- Solid strategic financial acumen and commercial awareness.

Role summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join North Uist Development Company (NUDC) and UistWind (North Uist Development Company Trading Limited) to act as a catalyst for innovative and sustainable community development and for successful operational management of the North Uist community-owned wind farm – UistWind.
The successful candidate will work with the UistWind Management Committee, its members and associated parties, to manage the Community Benefit Society’s operational business needs, meeting compliance requirements while working to maximise generation and revenue from two 900kW wind turbines at Criongrabhal near Clachan-na-Luib in North Uist for the benefit of the local community.The successful candidate will also work with NUDC and the wider community, to develop and implement both a community development plan, and a community investment plan for the UistWind community benefit fund, which takes account of opportunities to enhance the socio-economic, cultural and environmental welfare of the North Uist and Berneray area.
