There are also 3 Emmaus groups working towards the development of services in their areas. About the role

We are seeking an Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer, working with the Impact and Evaluation Manager, Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and with federation members.The role will be central to the delivery of strategic commitment to work together to record, study, continuously improve and broadcast our collective impact.

It’s an exciting time for the Emmaus Federation as we roll out a new In-Form (salesforce) CRM system and interlinked Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework.

The role will play a crucial part in implementing, gathering feedback and developing new systems and tools to be utilised by Emmaus communities.

The role will be varied in nature, one day might involve conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness, then next providing support to a member of staff to improve a communities MEL practice, the following day might involve analysing a data set and writing a briefing paper.

Who are we looking for?

The Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer will play a key role in supporting the Emmaus federation to understand and demonstrates the impact of our work. 

The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and practical evaluation skills coupled with the people skills to make this work accessible to a range of stakeholders.

They will need to be comfortable working as part of a remote team and able to travel to Emmaus communities across the UK to work with staff and companions.

We are looking for a Senior Grants Officer who will be a key role within the grants team, supporting Relationships Managers and the Head of Grants in the delivery of innovative and impactful grant-making. About the Role

The Director of Partnerships will lead TASC’s partnership efforts, responsible for cultivating and securing new partnerships, and delivering on partnership strategies. You will manage relationships with key strategic partners, donors, civil society allies, and academic stakeholders. The Director of Partnerships will work closely with the CEO, contributing to the charity’s broader external relations activities, while operating with independence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Partnership Strategy and Relationship Management:

  • Contribute to developing new partnership strategies.
  • Manage deliverables and track impact milestones as outlined in partnership strategies.
  • Oversee day-to-day correspondence with donors and strategic partners.
  • Facilitate meetings and visits with key stakeholders.

• Internal Coordination:

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Right to work in London.

The Student Voice Facilitator will work within the Student Voice team to develop and deliver innovative representation practices, ensuring our members can exercise their student voice and influence university decision-making. This will be focused on Student Futures, a large-scale transformation portfolio King’s College London is undertaking. Student Futures aims to improve student experiences in key areas across the next three years. At times, the post-holder will also be required to support other King’s Transformation Office programmes, such as Campus Futures, which is overseeing the development of King’s campus spaces and facilities in the next few years. Responsibilities include:

FACILITATING QUALITY REPRESENTATION PRACTICES:

• Facilitate representation practices within Student Futures, both in person and online, in line with KCLSU’s Student Voice Partnership Agreement and Student Voice Design Framework;
• Lead on development of innovative facilitation methods to foster collaborative, productive spaces for student participation that are fit to respond to the issue at hand;
• Create toolkits, guidance, and other training materials to support the facilitation skills development across KCLSU and King’s;
• Develop and deliver training on facilitation skills for KCLSU and King’s colleagues.

SERVICE DEVELOPMENT:

• Work with Student Voice colleagues to expand the capacity and reach of the team across King’s;

Job Specification
ENHANCING REPRESENTATIVE PROCESSES
• Act as central point of contact for colleagues across King’s and KCLSU for centralising and sharing information about student voice and representation structures related to Transformation Office projects;
• Set up and oversee systems for the management of student representative data between KCLSU and various King’s project teams;
• Ensure that all areas of student representative recruitment, induction, and support are conducted smoothly;

The GMHAN is now looking for a new Network Manager to bring together partners to work to drive action and make a difference. Two years ago, the network restructure and bought in a full-time network manager post, now funded by Greater Manchester Mayors Charity and the Lloyds Foundation.

Since this role was initially bought in, the network structure and funding as strengthened, however we are now looking for someone to play a key role in further developing the GMHAN’s strategic role across the region. This includes facilitating full network events, supporting systems change through our network task groups, driving the work of the coordination group and bringing new partners into the network.

This role will have some involvement in new funding applications for additional roles and will be the line manager for the network’s Lived Experience Co-ordinator post.

While the network has an already established structure, we are looking for someone who has their own ideas about how to mobilise partnership working and will feel confident brining their vision to the network, as well as challenging already established ideas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strengthening the Network

• Working to identify, connect with and involve individuals, organisations, communities, funders, and commissioners to help grow the membership of the network.
• Identifying opportunities for the network to influence systems change and mobilising the wider network to respond to these opportunities.
• Supporting the network’s task groups to work in an action focused way, by having strategic oversight of their work, linking them to opportunities and facilitating joined up working between the groups.
• Identifying funding opportunities to continue the work of the network and working with relevant partners to secure funding for the staff roles and other operational costs of the network.

Supporting Co-Production

• Encouraging and facilitating the involvement and leadership of people with personal insight into homelessness at every level by growing and supporting culture shift towards co-production.
• Line management of the network’s Lived Experience Coordinator and working with them give people with lived experience of homelessness opportunities to engage in the network

Communications

• Oversight of network comms to ensure key messages are communicated with the wider network. This includes sending regular newsletters, maintaining the network website and managing social media accounts.
• Coordinating and facilitating full network events, by identifying key contributors and supporting them to share their work.
• Representing the GMHAN at external events and in some cases presenting to a range of stakeholders about the structure and purpose of the network.

Other

• Have overall responsibility for monitoring and evaluation required for funders.
• Carry out other reasonable duties that may be required in the light of the main purpose of the job and as requested by your line manager.

About the Greater Manchester Homeless Action Network

The Greater Manchester Homeless Action Network (GMHAN) is a cross-sector partnership that brings together everyone across Greater Manchester working to end rough sleeping and prevent homelessness. This includes a range of sectors and specialisms, such as charities, local authorities, housing providers, faith partners and people with lived experience of homelessness. The GMHAN aims to operate using the principles of co-production and community development, placing people with experience of homelessness in the lead. 

The work of the GMHAN seeks to add value to local networks and build connections at a GM level. This is done by connecting the many smaller local networks, with local and regional public and private sector bodies, including policy makers and politicians, to influence and design policies and programmes that affect the lives of those experiencing/at risk of experiencing homelessness. We do this through large in person events every 3 months aimed at co-designing Greater Manchester’s homelessness policy and showcasing best practice. Our network events focus on different themes (such as the criminal justice system or youth homelessness) and bring together people passionate about that area to share their experiences and form a collective voice to push for social change.

We also run three task groups- Learn, Lobby & Deliver. The groups are a space for action to happen outside of events, where people from all areas can come together to progress this work and identify areas where the network can influence change. All this work feeds into the GM Homelessness Programme Board, where key decisions are made.

Living Wage Foundation 

The Living Wage Foundation was launched in 2011 by Citizens UK to tackle in-work poverty and ensure that workers earn enough to live on and participate in family and community life. Citizens UK is the home of community organising with diverse civil society alliances set up to develop leaders to work on the issues that matter to them, such as the Living Wage. Other projects include Parent Action and Sponsor Refugees to add depth to the impact of Citizens UK’s work. 

The Living Wage is a movement of businesses, organisations and people who believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. The real Living Wage is an independently-calculated hourly rate based on the cost of living and announced each October ahead of Living Wage Week, our annual celebration of a growing network of over 15,000 Living Wage Employers.

The Living Wage Foundation celebrates employers that voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage through an accreditation scheme that recognises a long-term commitment to fair pay and has secured pay rises for 475,000 low paid workers. 

The Living Wage Foundation is part of Citizens UK – a community organising charity which works with a broad base of institutions across the political spectrum. At the Living Wage Foundation, we take a deliberately broad-based approach and accredit all organisations who pay the real Living Wage to their directly and indirectly employed staff and are committed to tackling in work poverty.  As a team we work across a range of industries and sectors to achieve this mission. Purpose 

The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Senior Data and Insights Manager. The role will strengthen network-facing resources and support in a data-driven way, devising and implementing measures to drive membership growth and enhance membership satisfaction. This would include collaborating on research and analysis, translating insights into recommendations to support decision-making, and developing membership content available through to our network. 

The Senior Manager would actively promote greater engagement with our network, demonstrating a commitment to identifying and removing barriers to ensure all members can access the benefits of accreditation. Working under the Head of Operations and Insight, the Senior Manager will need to have excellent data collection and analysis skills, and an ability to translate that analysis into actions for the Living Wage Foundation through strong communication skills. They will also need to be able to build relationships with senior stakeholders, maximising our impact through the development of our membership offer to the Living Wage network. The suitable candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively across the Living Wage Foundation and Citizens UK teams.

Main Responsibilities 

Build and manage projects, and achieve work targets effectively 

• Manage the development and continual improvement of membership services with evidence-based and user-centred design, ensuring network can access benefits. 

• Work collaboratively across the LWF to ensure our membership services offer is joined up and avoids duplication. Focus on working with events, communications, and the membership team.

• Implement processes and mechanisms for evaluating member-facing services and events and champion the use of these findings to guide future work.

• Initiate design and delivery of regular employer network surveys and prepare regular internal analysis and reporting. 

• Work with Research team to conduct regular quantitative network composition analysis and reporting of the Living Wage network, and establish clear ways to present this analysis internally and externally to inform strategic decisions. 

Learning, expertise and inclusion 

• Act as a learning facilitator, providing direct support and training to upskill colleagues across the Foundation to ensure consistency and collaborative working through disseminating good practice and shared learning.

• Oversee the production of membership resources both to promote membership services and as part of them.

• Monitor the business activity of key external and network organisations delivering membership services, analysing relevant performance data and research. 

• Undertake relevant training opportunities that will increase the Foundation’s capability to deliver outstanding membership services.

Develop and manage external relationships 

• Identify and proactively develop relationships with external research and evaluation partners to develop and refine analysis approach.

Design in Mental Health Network is a registered charity, which aims to improve mental health outcomes by promoting knowledge exchange, co-production involving the voice of people with Lived Experience and challenging the status quo of mental health design.

Sounddelivery Media is a dynamic charity that seeks to amplify lived experience stories and expertise to address social inequalities. We work alongside people with direct experience of injustice and inequality to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Our Spokesperson Network constitutes a network of media savvy spokespeople, who have direct experience of social injustices. Developed collaboratively with a network of leaders with lived experience, it aims to diversify the voices we hear in the media and make it more representative of the society we live in. Through training, media mentoring, peer support and speaking opportunities, we tackle the barriers that prevent these experts from engaging with journalists who have the power to influence coverage and ultimately drive change.

Members of our network have spoken on all the major news outlets from BBC Newsnight, BBC Radio Four, ITV News, to the Times, the Guardian, places where they can reach audiences of millions and have influenced documentaries and a storyline for a high profile drama. They’ve become part of policy and advisory conversations: APPGs (All Party Parliamentary Groups), Governmental select committees, speaking at Party Conferences and joining advisory panels.

Our work additionally seeks to support the wider charity sector to develop and amplify lived experience stories and expertise themselves. We work closely with charities to help them develop and train their own panels and spokespeople and are currently facilitating Future Voices, a unique spokesperson training programme for migrant domestic workers in partnership with The Voice of Domestic Workers.

You will provide strategic support to our dynamic Spokesperson Network of leaders with direct experience of social injustices, through;

Managing our existing media relationships, and developing new ones, to create opportunities for our network of confident public spokespeople to be visible
This role will enable us to increase the visibility and impact of our programme participants and their communities by engaging with journalists, media professionals, and other influential platforms. You will be responsible for broadening speaking opportunities, such as broadcast interviews, opinion pieces, and identifying potential storyline collaborations across various media outlets. You’ll also seek opportunities to feature our network in public forums like TEDx talks, conferences, and other platforms that influence public conversations.

Empowering Network members through training and support to develop and maximise media opportunities themselves.
In addition to media engagement, you will play a key role in empowering our network to create and share their own content. This includes helping participants build confidence and develop skills in content creation (eg vlogs), and pitching to the media, ensuring their voices reach those in positions to drive meaningful change.

Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders in a ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic way
You will work closely with our community to activate and strengthen our network, driving collective action and amplifying the important issues they are addressing. Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders is key, and you will ensure that all engagement is grounded in ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic support.

Sharing knowledge with other charities supporting Spokesperson Networks
You will help share what we learn through our work with other charities and learn from them too. Using peer-led sessions to share best practice, challenges and ideas for charities working to amplify the voices of people with direct experience of social injustice.

As a small but growing charity, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of our organisation alongside a supportive trustee board, a dedicated team of four staff, and a group of skilled freelancers. Connected Futures is Youth Futures’ systems change programme. It aims to foster joined-up solutions to the complex issues and barriers facing disadvantaged young people.

We are looking for a capable, proactive person to support the overall programme management approach for Connected Futures. The Senior Programme Support Officer will support the Head of Programmes to develop and deliver an approach to programme and project management across Connected Futures. The postholder will take the lead on specific tasks, and coordinate the work of the wider cross-organisational Connected Futures team.

You will liaise with external partners and stakeholders, as well as supporting multiple internal customers and workstreams, often to tight deadlines. You will support key external and internal engagement processes, working with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of meetings and capture key decisions and inputs to feed back into programme delivery.

This is primarily a project management role, enabling a cross-functional team to work effectively and efficiently together on a complex, fast-moving and high profile programme. The Evaluation Manager is pivotal in spearheading the strategic planning, delivery and dissemination of Magic Breakfast’s day-to-day evaluation activity, as part of the wider Impact and Insights Team’s approach to communicating research, evaluation and insights. They will hold responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering a comprehensive programme of evaluation projects to support evaluation and impact measurement, continuous improvement, business development and communication.
