As Deputy Fundraising Director, Public Fundraising, you will:
- Be responsible for a public fundraising income portfolio of c. £20m p.a. across recruitment, retention and development income streams, with shared accountability for a fundraising income budget of £35m
- Lead the development and implementation of a strategy and plans for public fundraising, aligned with Greenpeace UK’s new 3-year organisational and fundraising strategies and objectives
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support to a team of 29, with 4 direct reports
- Lead the team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a multichannel public fundraising programme designed to recruit, develop and retain supporters to maximise their lifetime value through tailored supporter journeys and outstanding supporter experience
- Oversee the development of detailed financial forecasts, scenarios and budgets for the public fundraising portfolio to underpin fundraising strategies and investment opportunities
- Play an active role in fostering a positive, inclusive and collaborative department culture, role modelling working to shared objectives, celebrating success and learning from setbacks and failures
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience of fundraising/marketing to individuals at scale, with a proven track record of recruiting and retaining new supporters, members or customers in the tens of thousands and generating 7-8 figure revenue/income across multiple income streams
- A track record of planning, forecasting and budgeting, including developing investment cases and modelling income, return on investment and lifetime value over short, mid and long term horizons to drive decision-making and investment choices
- Demonstrable experience of leading, managing, motivating and inspiring high performing multi-disciplinary teams including managing managers, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
- Experience of developing, implementing, and adapting fundraising strategies that meet long-term financial objectives
- Proven ability to use data, analytics, and insights to drive decision- making, optimise fundraising performance, and improve supporter recruitment, retention and engagement
- A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism, with a willingness to continually learn and foster a positive and inclusive culture

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Instructor to join our forward-thinking training department. The role will involve overseeing and supporting our instructors whilst they are team training, ensuring the teams are being placed out to the highest possible standard and are graduated in a timely manner.
Recruitment, educating and supporting of new staff to ensure they can lone work both confidently and effectively are an essential part of this role, alongside ensuring the continued development of existing staff. The senior lead must have relevant qualifications and experience in training and behaviour as advising on training and behavioural issues will be required, with the ability to support individuals on writing and implementing suitable behaviour modification plans.

The charity’s mission is to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities, through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring. The University Access Officer mentors’ students, delivering group workshops, mentoring and coaching them on how to access and transition to university.
This is an exciting opportunity to foster mentoring relationships with students who will likely be encountering such support for the first time. The University Access Officer is in a position to open up a world of opportunities to the students which is extremely rewarding.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with students in school and enrolling them onto the programme
- Matching students with volunteer tutors
- Monitoring student attendance to tutorials and devising innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assessing student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Uploading information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Building and managing relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Working with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chairing and presenting at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- Supporting the delivery of tutor training and attend university site visits, approximately 3 times a year including occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings. Paid time off in lieu is provided.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate and influence with impact at all levels, delivering projects and managing administration accurately. You must be skilled in building and maintaining excellent relationships, be resilient and adaptable and have the ability to lead and manage change to embed the programme in schools.

Role Summary
The Head of Operations is a new role within SHM Foundation. The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to design and implement operational processes. This role has been created to

- Manage funding applications
- Overseeing certain administrative elements of board meetings including but not limited to collating and disseminating papers, producing relevant reports and papers, taking minutes, action tracking
- Supporting the creation of annual funder reports
- Supervising, coaching, mentoring or line management as required, depending on the needs of SHM
- Work closely with the Head of the Foundation to build relationships with partners, and help her to ensure that the right resources are allocated to the right activities
- Work closely with the Head of Foundation and team members to maintain focus on project purpose, and ensure that financial resources are deployed effectively in line with that purpose, the budget and funding requirements

We are a team of 28, both full time and part time staff working across and/or supporting 3 teams: the Advice Team, the Ukrainian Team and the Resettlement Team. There is also a Housing Officer, an Employment Officer, and a team of Therapists.
Job Purpose
The Director leads GARAS in its mission to support refugees and asylum seekers, with a strong commitment to their rights and well-being.
The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic thinker, who can work with key stakeholders across Gloucestershire and West Oxfordshire to develop and deliver impactful services which navigate complex challenges. The Director is responsible for the strategic direction, financial sustainability, and overall management of the organisation, ensuring GARAS operates in accordance with its values and goals. This requires them to be compassionate, empathetic, resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment, and to demonstrate a strong commitment to GARAS’s mission and values.
This job description aims to outline the primary duties of the Director but is not exhaustive. The role may require additional responsibilities as needed to support GARAS’s evolving mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Development
- Provide visionary leadership to advance GARAS’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Develop, implement, and review organisational strategy in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.
- Identify and respond to emerging issues impacting refugees and asylum seekers at local, regional, and national levels.
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, partner organisations, donors, and community stakeholders.
Organisational and Financial Management
- Ensure the financial health and sustainability of GARAS through effective fundraising, financial planning and budgeting.
- Oversee operational policies, processes and practices to ensure the delivery of highquality, accessible services.
- Consistently review GARAS's structure, systems, policies and procedures to ensure that these are fit for purpose, compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements and reflect good practice requirements.
- Monitor and report on organisational performance to the Board of Trustees, including financial performance, service delivery, and programme outcomes.
- Secure grants, develop new funding opportunities, and maintain relationships with funders.
Service Delivery and Programme Development
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programmes and services to meet the evolving needs of clients, staff and the organisation.
- Ensure the delivery of client-centred services that uphold the dignity and rights of refugees and asylum seekers.
- Develop partnerships to enhance the scope and impact of GARAS’ programmes and services.
- Ensure all of GARAS’ services comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Advocacy and Public Relations
- Act as a spokesperson for GARAS, representing the organisation’s mission and values to the public, media, and other stakeholders.
- Develop advocacy strategies to promote awareness of refugee and asylum seeker issues within the community and among policymakers.
- Engage with media, attend public events, and foster partnerships to raise the profile of GARAS.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide inspirational leadership, mentoring, and support to our dedicated team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work culture and promoting continuous professional development and well-being.
- Provide direct line management to senior staff including development support, coaching, performance management and access to training, and to support senior staff and volunteers to do the same to the teams they manage.
- Ensure, through the senior staff, that all teams have robust work plans and key performance indicators in place which contribute to the achievement of GARAS’ long-term strategy and annual plans.
- Run regular all-team meetings to ensure good working practice is shared across the teams
- Work with the Trustee Board to recruit staff as required for the running of the organisation using fair and equitable systems.
- Work with the Office Manager to ensure effective oversight and resolution of any HR issues.
- Maintain and develop relationships with local Universities to provide opportunities for student placements

Review and develop our current attendance framework to ensure we are compliant and meeting the needs of all learners;
- Provide advice and guidance to staff on communication and follow-up of attendance and punctuality

Pastoral and SEND

- Work with teachers, senior leaders, local authorities and other relevant stakeholders to access all required documentation about students to ensure the College fully understands their personal, emotional, social and learning needs.
- Monitoring individual progression of all assigned students against agreed targets set by the curriculum, including taking action to support students who have attendance concerns, under‐performing or experiencing pastoral concerns
- Support the sixth form leadership team to address disciplinary issues, including participation in meetings and evidence gathering whilst ensuring that all relevant college staff are informed of agreed targeted actions in support of the student’s performance.
- Support the SEND specialist / SENDCo with annual reviews for students with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Supporting the sixth form team leads during check-ins and team time
- Supporting and contributing to the Enrichment club provision at the college.

How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
