Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, major trauma centres and hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.

As a Regional Coordinator, you will build relationships and take ownership for what happens in your geographical area. Whether it be providing peer support to newly injured people in a clinical setting, facilitating wheelchair skills sessions, making referrals for ongoing support or supporting volunteers and fundraisers – you will be passionate about being able to demonstrate the impact of what we do, and will see for yourself how Back Up quite literally transforms lives.

About the role 

As a Lead Worker (Intensive Case Management), you will deliver intensive, person-centred, and holistic support to people who are disadvantaged and need significant support to end their homelessness. You will be collaborating with internal and external colleagues to meet people’s immediate, acute needs and to support them to start taking steps towards ending their homelessness.

We take a bold approach to supporting people and adapt our ways of working when needed to ensure that we are providing impactful, equitable service giving everyone a fair opportunity to receive the support they need. We help people to challenge barriers put up by the system. This is an incredibly varied role as you will offer practical support such as help to attend external appointments, open bank accounts, and obtain IDs, but you will also work closely with our internal clinical psychologists to help your members to recognise their strengths and build resilience.

About you 

• You have experience supporting people with complex trauma and multiple needs including mental health, physical health and substance misuse difficulties, a history of multiple exclusion and social isolation. 

• You have worked within a relevant sector which could include domestic violence, women’s services, migrants’ services, probation, or health services. 

• You have knowledge of relevant housing, homelessness, social care, and welfare legislation. 

• You work reflectively and welcome learning through continuous improvement.

• Provide tailored advice on all matters that might affect a trainee’s status and training time using expertise in the regulatory frameworks associated with specialty training in the UK.
• Proactively work with WDTO colleagues to ensure trainees and trainers are adequately supported.
• Review and prepare CESR and MTI applications for assessment by the specialist committee.
• Manage and deliver the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) recommendation process.
• Provide a timely, customer-focussed and responsive service.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C.

A fast-expanding IAPT compliant Service requires a service administrator to support a team of volunteer counsellors.  Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a local, independent mental health charity, working in partnership with other statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of services to the local community. This is an integral service of the organization delivering counselling to around 650 people per year. You will work closely with and support the Therapy Service Co-ordinator and Therapy Service Administrators to ensure effective administration and organisation of the service.

Knowledge and Experience

Ideally you will have:

• Proven experience in leading successful Lottery and Promotions initiatives.
• The ability to champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout the Lincolnshire Community and beyond.

• Understand and analyse the market, identifying opportunities and supporter motivations to tailor approaches effectively.

About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

In this exciting newly created role, you will be responsible for helping to grow our income from grant- makers to design and promote funding opportunities, and to steward relationships with supporters through the giving cycle. The Child and Family Specialist role is part of an exciting and innovative partnership with the London Borough of Ealing to provide an early intervention service in the community and in schools to children, young people and their families. The Ealing Early Intervention Service has been commissioned to provide direct and systemic work to address moderate mental health needs.

The Child and Family Specialist will work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties through undertaking assessments and providing interventions. The post-holder will also: provide specialist advice and support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources; and actively contribute to outcome monitoring and service improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a commissioned service delivering direct interventions for young people and their families. The post-holder will offer a range of clinical activities to address mental health needs in children and young people, including direct individual and group work with young people and parents/carers and joint work with other professionals.  The clinical case presentation is mostly moderate risk and requires insight into handling complex clinical cases (e.g. neurodiverse and trauma-inform practice) and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.

The Child and Family Specialist will join a small team of 12 people in a fast-paced working dynamic. The post-holder will be supported through supervision and will deliver consultation, training, and workshops to non-mental health staff.

Location

Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours, either at Greenford Service Centre (UB6 9LB) and occasionally at Anna Freud, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.
