Job purpose
This is a new role, responsible for delivering financial support for our mission from corporate partners. Initially, the majority of your time will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporate partners to meet fundraising targets. As we grow, the work will be divided across high quality stewardship of existing partners across all sectors, as well as working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to upscale their impact.
This role sits alongside Trusts and Foundations and Public Fundraising within a team whose remit covers income generation, campaigns and marketing. The post holder will report to the Director of Communications and Growth, supporting the senior leadership team to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate.
Key responsibilities
·Develop and maintain propositions to attract companies to support our work

Global Human Relations Specialist
Responsibilities
— The responsibilities of Global Human Relations Specialist will include, but are not limited to:
- Determine and facilitate optimal hiring status for new and continuing staff (direct employment, EoR employment, independent consulting) and initiate and manage contracts as appropriate.
- When there are open positions, working with hiring managers to manage the full cycle of recruitment of positions including job scoping, candidate sourcing, interviewing, reference checking, background checking, developing offers and closing the hire.

Qualifications

- A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a field related to the work.
- Five years’ progressively responsible HR experience.
- International HR experience. GPHR or PHRi or equivalent, a plus.

We are seeking a hands-on, seasoned, and globally-minded leader to serve as the foundation’s Director of Operations (DO) as the institution continues to evolve and develop other vehicles fit for its mission and activities.
Role
As Director of Operations, you will be a key member of the foundation’s leadership team jointly responsible for strategic planning and overall management of the institution to ensure organisational health and the fulfilment of the foundation’s mission. Director of Operations Responsibilities

Finance

Information Technology

Risk Management
- Ensure appropriate and adequate insurance policy acquisition and management needed across the institution and oversee ongoing policy management for adequacy of coverage, renewals, and financial considerations (includes liability, worker’s compensation, travel etc. across geographic areas).
- Oversee health and safety policy and procedures across staff locations and during travel.

Staff Management and Mentorship

Qualifications

The Head of Strategic Projects and Management (Maternity Cover) will be pivotal in the Strategic Management Department, which is a supportive and hard-working team playing a critical role in the organisation. Purpose of the role
The Head of Strategic Projects and Management (Maternity Cover) will play a key role in the Strategic Management Department. The postholder will lead strategic and project management and reporting for the Foundation and Academy Trust, ensuring that there is a coordinated approach to strategic and operational change. The postholder will lead research, identifying, proposing and leading specific projects which will enhance the organisation’s development, operations and reach. Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Identify, propose and lead strategic development opportunities for the organisation. Conduct sector research to ensure that the Foundation’s strategy is data and environment-informed. Keep abreast of political developments in relation to MAT growth and development and investigate emerging opportunities in the field. Produce feasibility studies for prospective longer-term growth and development options in line with the overall Foundation Strategy.
- Develop and maintain an organisational analysis, including undertaking and presenting research on potential joiner schools and strategic partners, such as for joint ventures and new initiatives. Champion the Foundation Office’s adoption of Microsoft Viva Goals and the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework across various leadership groups, leveraging the platform as a tool for collaboration and strategic planning. This includes the delivery of training workshops and either leading or overseeing regular check-ins. Growth Projects
- Conduct growth research with a focus on the current educational and political climate, looking to the Department of Education and West Midlands Regional Directorate for changes and updates to relevant policy. In the event of an academy conversion, transfer, or merger, the postholder would also undertake the following duties: Convene and manage a project group comprised of representatives from the school, the Academy Trust and Birmingham City Council if appropriate. Manage all project documentation (including a comprehensive and regularly updated project plan, a register of risks and issues, an action tracker, project meeting notes, and reports to Trustees). Lead a thorough due diligence process. Support the incoming school to run a consultation process. Liaise with the Academy Trust’s legal advisers, Birmingham City Council, the DfE and other parties to bring about the completion of necessary land transfers, funding agreements, commercial transfer agreements and any required supplementary agreements. Manage the school’s integration into the Academy Trust’s operating model, ensuring that operational leads from relevant departments are kept informed of the project’s progress and issues and deliver any integration requirements. 2026 Foundation Strategy
- Prepare for the next iteration of the Foundation Strategy, supporting the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Strategic Management to research, write, communicate, refine, and then implement the strategy.
Leadership and Management
- Deputise for the Director of Strategic Management. Be accountable for the achievement of relevant objectives and associated key performance indicators set from the Foundation Strategy. About the role
The Exchange is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Sales Assistant with a flair for customer service, and a passion for plants, craft and people. This is an exciting new opportunity to help support our Retail Manager in establishing The Garden Room as a vibrant, successful and welcoming space for retail, selling homeware and gifts; craft and garden supplies and tools; plants and plant care products; and some fashion, fragrance and cosmetics. The role will be a stimulating and inspiring opportunity for an experienced equality and discrimination lawyer to work pro actively and strategically to use the law as a tool for change.
BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change.
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism.
In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom.
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO.
Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Job Purpose: Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

We are looking for a dedicated and conscientious individual with experience of giving advice to people in vulnerable circumstances and who can relate to others in a sympathetic and understanding way. Experience of giving energy related advice is not essential as you will be provided with extensive training as well as mentoring support from an experienced colleague.
Pay and conditions
- The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week).
- The salary for the role will be £27,121 rising to £29,803 after six months.
- You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Engage with disadvantaged households who need help with energy issues.
- Improve the understanding and confidence of households in fuel poverty to better manage their energy use.
- Reduce the financial hardship and stress of households in fuel poverty by supporting their access to lower tariffs (where possible), grants for heating and insulation improvements and income maximisation.
- Improve the wellbeing and safeguarding of households in fuel poverty whose health conditions are exacerbated by living in a cold home.
- Identify energy improvements that can be made to the home and refer to installers who can fit them.
- Refer households onto other organisations in the area as appropriate for further support.
- Advocate on behalf of householders when communicating with energy suppliers, including making formal complaints on behalf of clients where necessary.
- Manage several complex casework cases over a period of time with minimal support.
- Maintain appropriate client confidentiality at all times in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Carry out outreach activities and/or explore networking opportunities if demand for the service is too low.

Essential attributes for this role include:
- Minimum Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience of giving advice.
- Experience of customer service.
- Experience of taking a lead on the delivery and coordination of project-based act
- Ability to respond to vulnerable clients in a respectful and engaging manner.
- Ability to demonstrate active listening skills in order to correctly identify the support needs of clients.
- Ability to present complex information in an accessible and appropriate manner.
- Ability to work in a team and able to identify areas where their skills complement others.
- Ability to maintain admin systems independently and accurately.
- Able to work independently and use own initiative.
- Highly organised at managing time and workload.
- Skilled in use of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
