About the role
- Navigating the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, working with people who have a higher complexity in substance use and need additional support from multiple services.
- To work in a trauma informed and person centred way, empowering the client to make informed choices around their care and support
- Conducting street outreach with partner agencies to identify and locate people on your caseloads, who are sleeping rough.
- Attending local hostels with the aim of supporting those who are at risk of eviction and where substance and/or alcohol use maybe a contributing factor.
- Managing a caseload of clients
- Attending partner agency meetings relating to rough sleeping & hotspots in the borough.
- Providing targeted harm reduction advice and information to individuals around the risks associated with drug or alcohol use and supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing.
- Signposting individuals to other support services inclusive of substance use, based on individual need.
- Removing the stigma of homelessness and for those who use substances and/or alcohol
- Breaking the barriers of which people experiencing homelessness face, when trying to access needed services

One of the members of the Coram group, Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is a specialist centre for children’s rights in education, immigration, community care and family law, and provides significant international legal systems consultancy. We champion access to justice through information and advice, legal practice and representation, policy and strategic litigation. Our Legal Practice Unit provides advice and representation under legal aid contract and through grant funding. Our Policy and Practice Change Team promotes the rights of children, young people and families through training and capacity building to professionals and systems change through research, policy and advocacy.
CCLC’s Finance and Billing Team is based in our London and Colchester office. It is anticipated this role would be based in our London office working alongside the Finance and Operations Manager.
About the role
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, multi-skilled Finance and Billing Assistant to support our busy practice.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide financial and administrative assistance to the Finance and Operations team, particularly focussed on increasing our Legal Aid billing capacity. This may involve assistance with broader financial and administrative tasks in order to release the overall capacity of the whole Finance Team to increase efficiency and maximise Legal Aid billing. From time to time, the role may also be required to provide general administrative and reception assistance, particularly for annual leave cover.
The role would suit an organised and efficient individual with strong IT skills who is looking to develop a career working within the charity finance or business support sector. This would be a particularly rewarding role for someone with an appreciation of the important role legal aid advice and representation plays in securing access to justice for the most vulnerable in society. Previous experience working in an administrative, operations or finance role would be desirable. However, full training will be provided and ongoing support and supervision will be available and therefore it is most important that the successful candidate can demonstrate the ability to work independently and show initiative and problem solving skills.
This is an office-based role and as such the successful candidate will benefit from being part of an experienced team. However, whilst this is a full-time position, we will consider requests for part-time working (28 hours per week minimum) and we will endeavour to offer some flexibility with days and hours to be agreed.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy. These roles will support the management of services, facilities and buildings for all Willen Hospice locations, specifically in relation to routine maintenance and projects to improve services within the hospice and shops.
A competent knowledge of general building, electrics, plumbing and carpentry skills is essential, in addition to a working knowledge of planned preventative maintenance, and good understanding of Health & Safety. You will be expected to maintain up to date knowledge of current legislation and hold full Driving Licence.

About Us
Headway East London is a charity supporting people living with brain injury. Working across 13 London boroughs we offer specialist support and services for survivors and their families. We offer therapies, advocacy, family support and community support work alongside our day service: a community venue where people can make the most of their abilities and interests.
About the role
The Casework Service main aim is to ensure that survivors and families have access to the benefits and support they are entitled to. This means working directly with local authorities and statutory organisations, or signposting to relevant partners.
Through our Better Together project at the Royal London Hospital and Queens Hospital Romford we offer early intervention inside the hospital, so that brain injury survivors and their family can access information, emotional support and assistance.
As a Caseworker you will be working closely with people with acquired brain injuries through our Better Together project, in support groups and in one-to-one casework appointments. You will be providing advice, advocacy, support and signposting.
Principle duties and responsibilities
1. Support people with lived experience of brain injury, families and carers through Casework projects and support groups. This could be in accessing the right benefits, housing issues or gaining the right care moving forward.
2. Take part in our Better Together project at the Royal London Hospital and Queens Hospital Romford. We visit each hospital weekly.
3. Make appropriate referrals to Headway East London services, and other relevant professionals/services.
4. Contribute to events for professionals engaged in working with people with lived experience of brain injury, highlighting the needs of our members and the work we do.
5. Help run our Saturday Social (once a month) which provides a safe setting for members to be part of a community space.
6. Monitor and document on all work undertaken and update our database constantly and efficiently.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Project Indigo, an LGBTQIA+ youth project run out of Off Centre at Family Action that fosters a safe space and sense of community amongst LGBTQIA+ young people in Hackney. We support young people aged 16 to 25 through offering them a weekly facilitated social space and 1-to-1 support and advice sessions. Having run for almost a decade, Project Indigo is well known in Hackney, and works alongside local LGBTQIA+ projects, as well as mental health and youth services. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing sensitive therapeutic support.
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic counsellor/psychotherapist to offer therapeutic support to members of Project Indigo, our LGBTQIA+ youth group. The counsellor will make a positive impact and expand Project Indigo’s offer to include 1-to-1 counselling, including sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.
Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.
Main Responsibilities:
· You will provide affirmative therapeutic support to our LGBTQIA+ young people who identify under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella or are exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity; including 1-to-1 therapeutic support, sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.
· You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing a safe, confidential and affirmative therapeutic space for our members; supporting young people with a range of difficult life and/or mental health issues, which may include bereavement, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and trauma.
· You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of issues facing young LGBTQIA+ people, in particular trans and gender diverse people, and will have clinical experience working with this group.
· You will maintain an understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as intersectionality and the multiple oppressions faced by our diverse group members, in particular racialised, neurodivergent and/or trans and non-binary people.
· You will address the diverse needs of our young people by maintaining an intersectional and person-centred approach.
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
· You are BACP /UKCP (or equivalent) registered with proven experience of working affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ young people in a clinical setting and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of how to support LGBTQIA+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.
· You are empathetic with a good understanding of the social and political issues impacting LGBTQIA+ young people.
· You identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community in line with Project Indigo’s peer-led service model.*
· You have an understanding of risk management, with the ability to act in accordance with local and organisational safeguarding policies.

The infrastructure team are looking for a dynamic Technical Specialist to take a central role in the Technology Services transformation programme of IT systems.
Rethink Mental Illness are transitioning away from legacy on-premise systems with a cloud first approach and over the last few years the Infrastructure team have made substantial transformation to the organisations infrastructure by:
- Fully Implementing SharePoint and OneDrive for over 1000 end-users
- Transitioning hardware provisioning and management to Intune/Endpoint Manager
- Migrating server estate and infrastructure resources to Azure
- Increasing the security stature of the organisation and hardening the environment, reducing attack surface
- Delivering a strategy to minimise the risk of human behaviour to security.
The rapid pace of change within the charity has seen the evolution of existing ways of working and opening new aspects of innovation to drive efficiencies for the betterment of our staff and beneficiaries.

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisors to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.
What you will do:
• Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.
• Work on a 7-day shift system
• Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
• Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise.
• Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline
• previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health
• a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people
• experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels
• the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service
Salary: £15,136 per annum (Scale point 24). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.
Hours: 16.5 hours per week – 2 nights per week.
Working arrangements: This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:45am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.

About the role
The Legal Clinic Administrator will work under the Legal Clinic Manager and be expected to provide administrative support in a varied and demanding environment.
A key function will be the day-to-day administration and promotion of the Legal Clinic. This will include working with students to deal with initial client enquiries in a range of Legal clinics, booking appointments, supporting students in the organisation of client interviews and management of case files, managing the administration of the office in accordance with the Clinic’s policies and procedures and liaising with members of the public, the legal profession and voluntary organisations.
The role holder must have excellent organisational, IT, and communication skills and an ability to relate to and work with a diverse range of students, partner organisations and clients.
The position is likely to be of particular interest to either:
I. A legal administrator/legal secretary with an interest in access to justice and higher education; or
II. A experienced administrator working in a busy office dealing with confidential and sensitive data, for e.g health service provider
