About Light Peer Support
Light is a mental health peer support charity, set up in 2010, which has grown to support parents and their families across South Yorkshire. We’re led by our passion to support mental health during pregnancy and beyond for all families from all communities.
From our hub in Sheffield as well as in Family Hubs across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley, we work with families who are experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties in the perinatal period, working in partnership across the statutory and voluntary sector to raise awareness of perinatal mental health difficulties and the support available.

The role
Light delivers a perinatal mental health peer support service across South Yorkshire, working in partnership with multiple statutory and public sector funders to ensure that women and families have access to high quality peer support in the perinatal period, as part of an integrated mental health care pathway.
Light is seeking an experienced and innovative service manager to lead and inspire the team and hold operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of our peer support service. This will include all aspects of service delivery, service development and performance management of the team to ensure our contract requirements are met and we continually promote excellence in peer support practice.
The role will play a pivotal role in the continued development of Light, acting as a key contact for our commissioning partners and undertaking activities to support the growth and sustainability of Light. The post holder will deputise for the Chief Executive in her absence, supporting with the operational management of Light and the efficient running of the charity from our main hub in Sheffield.

About the role
The post-holder will deliver a high-quality counselling service to survivors and victims of domestic and sexual violence (aged 18+) that is trauma-informed, ethical and supports key outcomes. Supporting the Lead Counsellor and the wider counselling team to develop and maintain a safe, professional and accessible service.
Managing a caseload of clients accessing short to medium term counselling, providing face to face, telephone and online counselling sessions. Where clients are engaged with the criminal justice system ensuring that they are working to Pre-Trail Therapy guidance.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. The post holder will work within a multi-agency setting and communicate regularly with other agencies.
This role description cannot cover every eventuality or task that may arise within this position and the post holder will be expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with the role.
Tasks and responsibilities
1. CLINICAL
· Assess and support people impacted by abuse and violence in need of therapy by delivering interventions as appropriate and supporting them in the self-management of their recovery.
· Undertake clinical assessments and make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols, refering unsuitable clients on to the relevant appropriate services or back to the referral agent as necessary, ensuring open communication with the individual throughout.
· Deliver trauma-informed short term counselling over a 8-10 week period with individuals.
· Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service.
· Ensure that records of all activity are kept up to date for all clients in line with service protocols, best practice and the requirements of relevant statutory agencies records, including using OASIS case management system to report all support activity and monitoring information as required.
· Work closely with other members of the team ensuring onward referrals, or escalations are managed appropriately.
· Assess and integrate issues impacting recovery into therapy to support the individual holistically.
· To attend regular line management, monthly clinical supervision and participate in team meetings and peer review, to ensure safe practice.
· Escalate and safeguard risk where appropriate and respond accordingly and appropriately in relation to the ‘do no harm principal’. This may include referrals to Children Social Care, MARAC or Adults social care as appropriate. Seek advice from a Senior Service Manager in the first instance to consider and support appropriate steps.
· Contribute to the development of service policies, protocols, guidelines and strategies within area of practice as necessary.
· Coordinate and accommodate multiagency working, sharing information pertaining to risk at all times, and with a view to best support the individual throughout their journey, ensuring they are fully informed throughout.
2. PROFESSIONAL
· Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating counselling bodies (i.e. BACP, UKCP, NCPS) and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health (e.g. National Institute for Clinical Excellence, RESPECT).
· Ensure that client confidentiality is protected and advocated for at all times.
· Ensure clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with manager on a regular basis as part of continuing professional development.
· Participate in individual performance review and respond to agreed objectives.
· Attend relevant conferences /workshops in line with identified professional objectives.
· To support, promote and work in accordance with Pathway Project’s aims and objectives.
3. GENERAL
· To maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and procedures in relation to Mental Health and Primary Care Services as well as Domestic and Sexual Abuse services.

Essential
- Recognised qualification in counselling and psychotherapy Level 4 or above

The Accelerating Reform Fund is a new initiative which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community. About the role:
As a DA caseworker, you will:
- Effectively manage a caseload of service users affected by domestic abuse, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.
- Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions
- Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.

Grants & Programmes Lead
Battersea's Global Programmes Department advances our ambitious plans to play a global role in achieving a positive impact on thousands of dogs and cats. We are looking for someone to join our team as a Grants & Programmes Lead. This role plays an integral role within the team to deliver impact to tens of thousands of dogs and cats around the world. The Grants and Programmes Lead will manage the team of expert grant managers, guiding and empowering them to achieve impact.
The Lead will oversee several portfolios of work within the grants and programmes function at Battersea, as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. Over the coming five years it is planned that the size and complexity of grant making, and other forms of programming will grow, including the establishment of several multi-year programmes in the UK and abroad. The Lead will play a key role in managing change as the function grows to deliver greater impact.
This is a senior role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of people management, implementing strategic programmes and good grant making practice at a team level. The successful postholder should be comfortable taking an adaptive management approach and coaching the team to shape proposals and portfolios of work to advance the collective interests of a team. They should be comfortable working with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues as an integral element of the role.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:
The Media Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing Independent Age’s media communications programme, including media and PR, social media, celebrities and stories. The Media Communications Manager will lead the team to secure profile-raising coverage for our work in a range of print, online and broadcast media outlets including national news, consumer, sector-specific, and regional titles. They will oversee our organic social media and ensure our channels amplify our work and reach older people, decision makers and other influential stakeholders.
The Media Communications Manager will build excellent relationships with older people with lived experience of poverty, ensuring the voices of older people in financial hardship are at the centre of everything we do. They will also grow the organisations relationships with journalists, channel owners, celebrities, ambassadors, and other influencers to ensure that our media communications activity supports our organisational objective to tackle poverty in later life.
You should have broad experience of developing and implementing innovative, successful profile-raising plans (across digital and traditional channels). You will bring an ability to work both proactively and reactively, and experience of handling reputational or crisis issues. You must have a passion for, and affinity with, the charity’s cause.

Role Purpose
ShelterBox is searching for an experienced humanitarian professional with previous programme management experience to join our agile and effective International Programmes Department. This is a transformational and impactful role. The successful candidate will manage urgent priority activities and international programmes/projects within a specific country, ensuring we deliver high quality, impactful outcomes at speed and scale for the people we support.
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Programme Manager will support the establishment and management of new and existing emergency and protracted ShelterBox programmes. Aligning with wider regional strategy, the Programme Manager will create and implement a longer-term strategic vision and direction for continuing support within their countries of responsibility. They will also lead on strategic humanitarian relationships within this area to help maximise ShelterBox’s programme impact and influence.
This role will also work closely with the Programme Quality team, to continue to measure the quality and impact of our work. The Programme Manager will also support a programme funding strategy for their designated area of responsibility, working closely with the Programme Funding team in developing sustainable programmatic funding opportunities.
The role is expected to have a strong focus on Burkina Faso, with other countries to be determined dependant on both existing portfolio and new emergencies. Regular travel is expected, and we expect the successful candidate to be willing and able to undertake this travel.
The role will also encompass high-level relationship building and advocacy with partner organisations to consolidate the reputation and position of ShelterBox within the humanitarian sector.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Battersea's Infrastructure Services Team is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join us on a 1-year contract. Our team provides effective IT support and services in order to ensure the smooth running of the business, so we can help our dogs and cats effectively.
This role will provide 2nd line support to resolve IT issues that include the installation and maintenance of IT hardware, software and administering users via Active Directory and Azure services in a 7 day a week environment (on a rota basis), along with working on some periodical projects, and supporting users so that our systems and data remain secure and safe.
The ideal candidate will have experience of windows platforms including network printers, telephone systems, hardware, as well as detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint site administration.
