This role is instrumental in planning and delivering high-quality marketing and communications campaigns and activities to bring our vital work to life in an inspiring way by delivering key messaging.

Overview

Homerton has a rich history. It was originally established in Homerton, London in 1768 as a dissenting academy. The College now seeks to appoint a new Director of Development.  The Director of Development will play a key role in advancing Homerton College’s mission and impact. They will hold overall responsibility for the development and success of the College’s fundraising strategy, and lead on raising transformational gifts that support the breadth of Homerton’s activity .

The Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for you to work with Waterwise to help deliver a groundbreaking water-saving pilot project in London, on behalf of the 50L Home coalition. 

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to oversee the set-up and delivery of the London 50L Home pilot - engaging with the coalition partners; solution providers, public participants and with national and local stakeholders to deliver a home water (and energy) retrofit pilot project ensuring that it progresses to programme and budget. 

The role would start as soon as possible and run for 30 months. The Programme Manager would be hosted within Waterwise - engaged by us on either a fixed term contract or a long-term secondment into Waterwise.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: work with the 50L Home Coalition to develop and maintain a Research Plan detailing the tasks, resources, governance, budgets and timeline required for the successful implementation of the pilot. 

• Project Management: undertake day-to-day project management of the pilot, including oversight of subcontractors and consultants; Pilot budget and spend tracking and participant, partner and stakeholder management

• Contract Management: set up contracts and manage the key suppliers and subcontractors needed to deliver the project (e.g. Installation Manager, Behaviour Change Manager, Data Manager)

• Participant Enrolment: Work with partner organisations to recruit the participants taking part in the pilot 

• Monitoring Device Installation: Work with an installation partner to ensure that all the homes in the pilot have had water and energy monitoring devices installed 

• Participant Surveys: Work with a behaviour change partner organisation before, during and after the pilot to survey project participants to assess their knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding water conservation as well as their experiences with the consumables provided and fittings installed

• Provision of Consumable Devices and Fittings: liaise with the 50L Home Coalition to agree the consumables and fittings to be used and arrange for their installation in a selection of the pilot homes working with an installation partner

• Progress Reporting: provide regular progress reports and updates and take part in regular project management calls with the 50L Home team and project sponsors

• Final Reporting: lead the preparation of a report that presents the findings and learnings from the pilot in terms of both awareness and behavioural changes and water and energy saved

• Dissemination: support the 50L Coalition partners in disseminating information about the pilot and its learnings

• Bid Support: Support the 50L Home Coalition in bidding for funding to extend the pilot

Person Specification

We need someone who is proactive and a self-starter, with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have a track record in successful Programme Management. Experience in managing home efficiency retrofit programmes would also be very relevant to this role and should be brought out in your application using examples.

You will be working closely with the 50L Home Coalition Partners, some of whom are based outside the UK. Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. We’re recruiting for a part time Neuro Physiotherapist to join our team in Northern Ireland.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide highly skilled, specialised physiotherapy assessment, treatment and physical activity services and classes for people affected by MS. Both in person through our Resource Centre in Belfast and online.

You’ll also play an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided through the MS Society in Northern Ireland.

We’re looking for the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate that they have experience and knowledge of the challenges people with MS face and who can adapt services and support to meet their needs.

This is a fantastic role for someone who understands those living with a neurological condition and who is passionate about the benefits of physical activity and community.

Our Programme Managers are the main point of contact for young people on our social mobility programmes. The main focus of the role is the recruitment, development and support of young people into meaningful careers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s & Youth Worker to join our team at Oasis Church Waterloo, to work with our under-18s and their families. The postholder will have particular responsibility for developing the children’s and youth provision at Oasis Church Waterloo, leading the team delivering children’s and youth work on Sundays and also deepening relationships with our church families during the week. The Church Children and Youth Worker will also be responsible for developing and expanding the integrated children’s and youth provision across the Waterloo Hub, with significant input into developing school families support work and developing the staff and volunteer team.

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

· Working with our church ministers and volunteer children’s/youth team leaders to develop our children’s and youth work strategy, in line with the Hub Vision (and with the ethos and values of Oasis), that delivers holistic support for children and young people across the local community and recognises their hopes and aspirations.

· Working with our church ministers and children’s/youth workers across the Oasis Church Network to develop a curriculum for our work with under-18s in church.

The successful post holder must have:

· A relevant professional qualification in Youth & Community (JNC) or Teaching (QTS) or Social Work (QSW) at DipHE level or above, relevant NVQ (Level 3) or be able to demonstrate qualification by experience

This role will lead on the delivery of our year-round volunteering programmes, with a particular focus on volunteering at our venue Aviva Studios. This will include the recruitment of Aviva Studios volunteers, training and induction, and support for volunteers taking part in our programmes. The primary focus of this role is leading on the volunteer-facing aspects of the Venue Volunteer Programme, however it may include providing some support to volunteering on other Factory International programmes like MIF at critical times.

- Manage our year-round volunteering programmes – in particular at Aviva Studios - responding to wider societal need to create social impact in the city

• Work towards achieving relevant accreditation in debt advice (training and support will be provided).
