Can you lead a team to secure the funds to enable St Nicholas Hospice Care, to provide compassionate, specialist end of life care for patients whilst supporting their families and carers? Based in Bury St Edmunds, we offer services to the communities across West Suffolk and Thetford. Whilst we might not be able to add days into life we aim to put life into days and make every moment count.
At an exciting time of expansion – our bed capacity recently increased - we are seeking a dynamic, skilled, experienced and knowledgeable person to inspire and lead our passionate and successful fundraising team which is part of the Income Generation Directorate. This key leadership role is vital, building on current success whilst driving the expansion and growth of our fundraising. Working as part of our Leadership Team, the successful candidate will help deliver our organisational strategy though a period of change enabling us to continue to provide incredible care to those who need it in these challenging times.
The person we are looking for will have considerable experience in fundraising across a range of income streams and a proven track record of achieving fundraising growth and delivering income to ambitious targets. They will have a robust understanding of budget setting and management as well as be ready to expand and grow the team further as they will be responsible for developing and executing a wide-ranging fundraising strategy. To do this, they will build stronger relationships with supporters, donors and other stakeholders and oversee activities that deliver income from diverse fundraising streams.

Reporting to the Head of Promotion and Comms, this role will take a lead on all media and PR activities. Job description
Reporting to the Managing Director and in coordination with the MD, Artistic Director and Learning & Participation Manager, you will work to identify and understand all future Chineke! projects and their funding needs.
· Research appropriate Trusts, Foundations, Individuals and Corporate sponsors to whom you will make written applications
· Meet with potential supporters to understand their giving criteria
· Write applications which meet our funding needs and the giving criteria of potential donors, and submit applications either by post or on-line
· Attend Chineke! projects as necessary to gain an in-sight into their success
· Write post-project reports to major funders, as required
· Attend Chineke! board meetings to report to the trustees on fundraising progress including applications made and their outcome, and applications planned

Waverley Care is Scotland’s leading HIV and Hepatitis C charity, and we are looking for a Policy & Communications Officer for an initial six-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of policy development and advocacy, ensuring Scotland remains on track to achieve zero new HIV transmission by 2030.
As the Policy & Communications Officer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping and delivering policy initiatives that support the Scottish Government’s commitments to ending HIV stigma and improving the lives of those living with HIV.
You will work proactively across the charity to ensure consistent policy messages and to inform influencing activities by producing briefings, consultation responses, and other communications content.
You will:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with MSPs, civil servants, and key stakeholders to drive Scotland’s progress toward eliminating Hepatitis C and achieving zero new HIV transmission by 2030.
· Produce high-quality internal and external briefings, consultation responses, press releases, media statements, social media posts and online content that align with Waverley Care’s policy positions.
· Represent Waverley Care at events, meetings, and networks, actively advancing the organisation’s policy objectives and supporting the Fast-Track Cities Scotland initiative.
· Plan and coordinate National Consortium meetings, including setting agendas, securing speakers, and taking minutes.
· Maintain and update databases of contacts and activities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of policy and public affairs work, including compliance with Scotland’s Lobbying Register.
· Support and engage Waverley Care’s Community Panel, ensuring communications are inclusive and reflective of lived experiences and elevate the voices of those affected by blood-borne viruses.
· Develop evidence-based policy positions and provide strategic advice to support Scottish Government targets.

What does the role involve?

- Work alongside the Project Manager to run focus groups with young parents to co-design the PCG, and ensure their lived experience is reflected in MHF policy, programme and research.

About the Role

Sussex Emmaus is a 57 bed supported accommodation project. We offer low to medium support for those who have experienced or may be at risk of experiencing homelessness. Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing a home for as long as someone needs it. Emmaus works with people who may have faced multiple disadvantages. This can include but is not exclusive to: homelessness; mental health issues; contact with the criminal justice system; historical substance and/or alcohol misuse; and domestic abuse.
Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference, we offer a home, work and a sense of belonging. For many people who have experienced homelessness, losing their self-esteem can be the most damaging part of their experience. Emmaus provides the opportunity to work; it can be valuable in rebuilding companion’s self-esteem and self-worth.
Job Summary:
To provide support to Companions using a person-centred approach, both emotionally and practically, so they can live and work in the Emmaus Community. The role will involve using a Strength Based Practice model to encourage Companions to become resilient and fulfilled. Assist Companions to become independent and maximise their skills, where necessary accessing outside support and services. Where appropriate, in accordance with Companion requests, provide a move-on pathway that enables them to be ready to live independently.
Develop and maintain positive partnerships with other agencies locally to enhance the support available to Companions. Act as an advocate and accompany Companions to formal meetings and appointments.
As part of a team, support the Community Manager in the referral and admissions procedures including conducting risk and needs assessments. To ensure that all Companion records and information is maintained in compliance with policies, procedures and the data protection act. Ensure that all Companion Risk and Needs Assessments are thoroughly and accurately completed to ensure their safety and the safety of others, where necessary liaising with external services and agencies delivering support.
Promote and embed a proactive approach to equality and diversity, by example and approach, with a commitment to treat all staff, volunteers, visitors and Companions equally and with respect.
To be part of the on-call rota providing out of hours provision to the service, where necessary attending on site to resolve critical accidents or incidents.

About the Role
Sense is recruiting for a Volunteer Development Lead to join our fantastic People & Culture Team, working on a hybrid basis between home and our offices in either London or Birmingham. We can also accommodate candidates able to commit to a part-time schedule (minimum of four days per week).
The Volunteer Team owns the strategic overview and direction of volunteering at Sense.
