This role sits within the Irish Chaplaincy IC Traveller Equality Project team. Responsibilities include:
Liaise with London Probation, prisons and other agencies to advance equality of opportunity for the GRT community; assist in giving presentations; Probation office visit with easy reading culturally specific books, GRT resources, take part in market style events, explain services, deliver presentations in person and over teams, participate in relevant conferences and meetings.
Deliver an effective advocacy service to the GRT community in prison and their families in response to referrals arising from prison visiting, allocating follow up casework as necessary. Provide advocacy with a wide range of external bodies.
Take responsibility for caseload of clients and to liaise with others in the service delivery to provide comprehensive service to those preparing for release / re settlement and those on probation in the community in London.
Provide, by telephone, email and letter, information about legal and penal systems to prisoners and their families and put them in touch with agencies for specialised help. Mail outs / resource packs to prisoners. Data form management.
Proactively engage with HMPPS, legal/welfare groups and other relevant organisations as requested by GRT prisoners while they are in prison and on probation
Keep, collate and maintain accurate detailed records for own work (via database) ensuring adherence to data protection rules; maintain the cultural and educational resources of the Project; disseminate resources to prisons and other relevant bodies; assist with the production of a newsletter; contribute material to quarterly reports, funder applications and other reports.

Why we need you
We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator with a passion for the Future Frontiers mission (you do not need to have previous experience of fundraising) who will play a vital supporting role to secure income that is needed to deliver the Future Frontiers programme for a growing number of young people.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Fundraising Manager and work closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships teams. Your primary focus will be on charitable Trusts and Foundations: researching suitable funding opportunities and writing external-facing communications. You will arrange programme visits to meet with young people and develop high-quality case studies. In addition, you will play a role in Future Frontiers' wider income generation work through researching potential business supporters and working with people participating in fundraising activities including employee fundraising and challenge events. You will keep excellent records of all fundraising activity to ensure effective team collaboration.
Your responsibilities
Research and pipeline development
You will complete research to find charitable trusts, foundations and businesses that have the potential to support Future Frontiers for the first time and keep detailed notes for the fundraising and partnerships teams. You will use this knowledge to support the pipeline of funding opportunities for the coming years, including making recommendations for the amount of funding we ask for and what it could go towards.
Enquiries and applications
You will write enquiries and applications for funding that are tailored to each recipient and make a convincing case for how their support will make a difference.
Reports and case studies
You will write reports that are tailored to each recipient and demonstrate how their funding has made a difference. This will involve arranging programme visits to speak with young people and develop case studies.
Supporter engagement
You will support the planning and delivery of high-quality, tailored communications and engagement opportunities for existing and potential supporters. This will include supporting individual volunteer fundraisers and employees of business partners.
Record-keeping
You will ensure that key information about our fundraising activity is stored appropriately and with high attention to detail.

About you
You will be responsible for supporting the strategic development of our publications, including journals and an open research platform. They will be responsible for generating high-quality content in our titles and support the ongoing movement toward open science. The post holder will ensure we support the microbiology community in our publishing activities, working closely with colleagues, external stakeholders with microbiologists in academia, industry, and infection science environments.
The Publishing Editor will also support and manage editors and editorial boards, monitoring performance and running recruitment as and where required.

About the role
We seek Specialist Counsellors who will thrive in a multi-cultural feminist environment. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have experience of working with one or more of the following:

Policy Advisor (Science): this role will work on science and research policy, including a focus on improving the environment for research in the health service and clinical trials.
Policy Advisor (Health): this role will work on health policy, focused on influencing to improve cancer care for patients across the UK.

We are looking for two Policy Advisors to monitor the external policy environment and identify, research and develop key public policy positions on issues related to the relevant policy area alongside opportunities to support work across the team. Further to this, you'll advise on and communicate the charity's positions to Government, policy-makers and other stakeholders, including the public, through responses to consultations, published reports, external representation, online and social media.
What will I be doing?
Identifying, researching and developing positions on policy issues important to Cancer Research UK
Communicating the charity's position on policy issues to government, policymakers and other stakeholders, for example through written reports, briefings, responses to consultations and policy statements
Developing and contributing specialist expertise in issues relevant to your policy area
Ensuring that relevant internal audiences are kept up-to-date with policy developments and feed in to the work of the policy team
Building links with policy, healthcare professionals and research communities to assist with the development of evidence-based policy positions and research proposals
Acting as a representative of Cancer Research UK to a range of external stakeholders, including Government, academics, think tanks, charities and professional bodies
Keeping up to date with policy developments, support the influencing of policy and identify policy issues that have the potential to form the basis of advocacy campaigning
Working across the Policy and Public Affairs Teams to ensure integrated policy and public affairs activity, working closely with the public affairs and campaigning teams.
What skills will I need?
Proven ability to identify and solve a range of problems with minimal guidance
Proven ability to work autonomously; the post holder will receive a moderate level of supervision and direction from the Policy Managers
Ability to manage workload and prioritise day-to-day tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent writing skills with an ability to produce high quality briefings in a short period of time, as well as longer more detailed pieces of work
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will need to explain information clearly and encourage colleagues to understand different points of view.
Proven ability to contribute to the development of strategy
Understanding of the UK's political system, Government departments, arms-length bodies and the policy environment
Strong analytical and research skills
Good interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.

The Lead of Grants and Programmes plays an integral role within the team to deliver impact to tens of thousands of dogs and cats around the world. The Lead will manage the team of expert grant managers, guiding and empowering them to achieve impact.

This is a senior role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of people management, impact measurement, good grant making practice and implementing strategic programmes.
The successful postholder should be comfortable empowering others, taking a coaching approach to team management and in supporting the team to shape proposals and portfolios of work to advance the collective interests of a team. They should also be comfortable working with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues as an integral element of the role.

Key responsibilities will include;
Leading on the development and operational delivery of the philanthropy and fundraising partnerships strategy across high value income streams.
- Leading on maintaining relationships with existing high-value donors and funders, through exemplary stewardship
- Overseeing the continued development and growth of a global legacy programme, including the production of legacy mailings, telemarketing, offline and digital advertising.
- Developing and managing a yearly activity plan for the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team within and agreed budget

This position would ideally suit a candidate with;
- Excellent knowledge of high-value donor, trusts, corporate and legacy fundraising strategies and activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of fundraising techniques, including audience and donor segmentation, analytical modelling and the use of insight to drive performance.
- Demonstrable experience of managing fundraising or income-generating campaigns, nationally and internationally, including in coalition with other organisations where applicable
- Experience of managing and overseeing high-value giving, legacies, trusts, statutory and corporate fundraising programmes and activities, to maximise income.
- Experience of developing new products/activities and taking them to market.
- Knowledge of global animal welfare, within an international development context would be beneficial
This position can be hybrid or largely remote with travel to the London head office as required.
