This vital and substantive new role is to increase charitable income so BBG can deliver its charitable purpose and planned major development.

The Development Manager post has been created with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to increase fundraising skill and capacity and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day fundraising function. The priority is the capital project, but in addition the postholder will also build a portfolio of fundraising streams for capital, projects, and operational costs. The Development Manager will be responsible for day-to-day activity, including fundraising data management, income from trusts, grants, individuals, sponsorship, legacies etc, providing exceptional levels of stewardship for all donors and funding partners.

The new postholder will work with the small but dedicated team of Development Director and Systems Development Officer (part time). The new post includes management of any staff and volunteers working to support the development function. The postholder is responsible to the Development Director in raising the funds to deliver the Major project and beyond and growing the day-to-day fundraising operation and a strong body of supporters at BBG.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve income and performance targets in accordance with BBG’s agreed Fundraising Strategy and business needs, as directed by the Development Director.

• Responsible for managing BBG’s development/fundraising function data, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy of data and information on BBG’s new Spektrix CRM system in compliance with wider BBG requirements and the Data Protection Act.

• Raise funding from trusts, grants, and sponsors and support campaigns for fundraising from individuals, especially major donors, to meet the targets of the Major project, as agreed.

• Work with Horticultural, Commercial and learning/Engagement teams, and other staff to determine projects and outcomes, maximising opportunities for raising funds to support core functions as well as projects, once the capital is secured.

• Manage and oversee funding contracts with trusts, grant givers etc, including payment schedules, reporting, and monitoring compliance with any conditions of funding.

• Responsible for high quality stewarding of all donors and supporters, ensuring BBG’s reputation as an exemplary charity is maintained. Respectful approach and manner in all fundraising. Developing a culture of giving in the charity. 

Experience

3-5 years’ experience working in a fundraising capacity, including the raising of significant funds for a charity, including major donors/individuals.

• Evidence of responsibility for raising 6 x figure funds from a variety of sources.

• Experience of taking responsibility for fundraising data management systems

• Experience of managing donors and funder

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, committed and highly organised Fundraising Manager. The postholder will have a central role in working with the Head of Fundraising to secure grants from statutory agencies and trusts and foundations but will also work to steward relationships with individual donors, support innovative digital fundraising campaigns and assist in the delivery of targeted fundraising activities and events. There is significant scope and opportunity for the Fundraising Manager to develop the charity’s work arounds trusts and foundations, individual giving, challenge/community events and corporate partnerships.

• CRM Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of our Salesforce CRM system, ensuring data integrity and optimisation for fundraising, communications and stakeholder engagement 

• Website Management: Manage the Media Trust website (built on WordPress), ensuring it is updated, functional, accessible, optimised for performance, SEO and user experience 

• Agency Management: Coordinate with external website and CRM agencies, ensuring timely delivery of projects, troubleshooting and alignment with our organisational objectives 

• Line Management: Manage the Digital Coordinator, providing guidance, support and performance management to ensure effective delivery of our digital priorities 

Key Skills and Experience: 

• Proven experience with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce), including customising workflows, reports and integrations 

• Hands-on experience managing websites (ideally WordPress), including familiarity with plugins, SEO best practices and web analytics 

• Demonstrable experience of working with external agencies to manage website and CRM development 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to work effectively with internal teams and external partners 

• Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within tight budgets

Overview

The Operations and Systems Manager is a key role in the Operations Team and will focus on ensuring that our staff, all home-working and many based internationally, can engage positively with Global Dialogue’s operational systems and processes. The scope of the role covers IT and digital tools, digital security, data management, HR, insurance and travel, as well as the organisation’s equipment, and health and safety protocols.

Job Description

• Responsible for the maintenance and development of systems and processes that support Global Dialogue’s operations across a range of functions.
• Provide operational support to programme staff across the organisation as needs arise.
• Collaborate with Operations Team colleagues to improve cross-functional ways of working and play an active role in the development of projects that enhance Global Dialogue’s ‘offer’ to hosted programmes.

IT, Digital Security and Data Management

• Oversee Global Dialogue’s IT provision, managing the relationship with and acting as the main point of contact for our external IT support, as well as fielding programme requests and managing costs.
• Maintain an overview of Global Dialogue’s user accounts across SharePoint and other digital tools, ensuring pricing, licencing and permissions are effectively managed across all platforms.
• Maintain and develop Global Dialogue’s practice and policies in relation to GDPR, ensuring that they are applied across the organisation, and take ownership of the organisation’s SharePoint structure.
• Support the development of Global Dialogue’s digital security offer to hosted programmes, so that the organisation has the tools and infrastructure to respond effectively to associated risks/threats.
• Responsible for scoping and implementing digital solutions that effectively support business operations.
• Source and maintain an overview of Global Dialogue’s IT hardware, phones and other equipment, including managing logistics and the phasing out of old equipment.
• Help to keep Global Dialogue’s website updated, liaising with external web developers where needed.

People and Care

• Support internal processes and systems for starters, leavers and existing staff; maintain an overview of mandatory staff training, as well as ensuring compliance of health and safety in the context of remote working.
• Provide administrative support across contract management and compliance tasks, referring on and tracking progress where needed.

Travel, events and insurance

• Responsible for Global Dialogue’s insurance policies (office, events, travel), ensuring that they are up do date and reflect organisational needs, as well as dealing with insurance queries and processing claims.
• Oversees systems for managing international travel, ensuring that risk management protocols are followed, and advising on compliance as required.

Other

• Maintain an overview of the organisation’s memberships and subscriptions, ensuring renewals and payments are up to date.
• Help the team to monitor the dedicated info@ and operations@ inboxes, including logging, fielding, and actioning requests as appropriate, to ensure Global Dialogue responds effectively to the needs of hosted programmes

Project Manager, Digital Products 

(UK wide)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Strategic Communications team. Sustrans has been working on a digital product to make the National Cycle Network (NCN) more accessible for disabled people across the UK. 

As the Project Manager, you will oversee the second phase of developing this innovative digital product, working closely with out external digital agency, managing the development and test of the online tool to take it from beta to minimum viable product and the soft launch scheduled for the summer of 2025.  

You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as internal colleagues and external digital partners to ensure all parties involved are regularly updated on the progress of the product, and work closely with the strategic communications team to plan for the soft launch of the product 

This role may require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. 

About you 

You should have ideally have experience of managing the development and roll out of digital products, as well as basic understanding of accessibility, UX and user testing. 

You will also be experienced in effectively managing a project and budget ideally for a digital product, online application or website and the ability to build relationships with ease across a wide range of people.

Role context:

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. The role will involve travel to international programme locations.

The successful candidate will oversee the day to management of the charity, ensure effective fundraising activity, provide support for the Board of Trustees and facilitate the smooth running of the charity. You will also work with our web-designer to ensure the website is kept up to date and the annual charity report and return are prepared and submitted on-time.

You will oversee all fundraising activity including maintaining existing campaigns and our CRM system, and provide excellent stewardship to supporters, responding to enquiries, thanking them in a timely manner and supporting supporters with their fundraising activities. Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) is an award-winning charity that offers welfare, wellbeing and mental health support and services to veterans of the UK Armed Forces and Merchant Navy in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. VOS has secured additional funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to continue the work of the Thrive Together programme (formerly VPPP) in the South East, which is designed to bring together a network of veterans’ support agencies that will take an informed approach across the South East region to ensure that there are connected pathways, which work well for veterans; that there are safe places for veterans to go, which connect into these pathways; and that volunteers and staff who support veterans have access to training and work closely with other organisations within veterans’ mental health pathways.

The Network and Partnership Development Manager will work with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager and manage the Thrive Together regional ‘cluster’ Partners in defined geographical regions to identify and build a meaningful network of organisations delivering support to veterans, their families and carers. About the role

This multifaceted role requires the ability to manage data and compile accurate reports to enable crucial reporting to funders, alongside the ability to write creative and compelling applications for funding from grant makers and funders. This role enables the post holder to facilitate the end to end process from funding application to reporting on contracts won. Alongside this the postholder will have the ability to be creative in generating alternative sources of income to ensure our unrestricted reserves support Pathways ambitious plans. The post holder will work with our already established Fundraising and Outreach Manager to ensure delivery of the Fundraising Strategy as agreed by the board of Trustees.

• To facilitate data collection, consolidate, analyse and organise reports for funders and internal teams with precision and attention to detail.

• To support the COO with daily operations by ensuring that data is accurately and appropriately recorded in the case management system to facilitate the reporting required.

• To aid in the administration and advancement of the online case management system.

• To generate reports and statistics to disseminate the results of the Pathway Project.

• To work with the CEO, COO, Fundraising and Outreach Manager to deliver the fundraising strategy and create a pipeline of future funding applications.

• To write compelling and high quality grant applications, online applications for funding or funding bids to existing and new funders, who may be Foundations, Grant Makers, Corporations, or Trusts.

• To work with colleagues to include storytelling and case studies within funding, trust or grant applications to demonstrate the impact of the Pathway Project whilst maintaining the confidentiality of our clients.

• To maintain accurate records of grants, bids and applications made alongside outcomes and a pipeline of future applications.

• Maintaining excellent relationships with funders, grant makers or trust managers and ensuring the data required for reporting is recorded accurately to facilitate that reporting.

• To implement prospect research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors), creating contact plans and strategies.

• To attend and participate in both staff and stakeholder meetings, as and when required.

• To strictly adhere to the specified timeframes and milestones mandated by our funders and guarantee the prompt submission of bids, reports and returns.

The Policy and Campaigns Manager will play a crucial role in advancing the strategic objectives of AvMA by developing and implementing effective policy initiatives and campaigns to improve patient safety and access to justice for those affected by avoidable medical harm.

We are looking for a talented person who shares our values and is passionate about making a difference through grant funding. We need someone to help our funded projects achieve great things. As a small organisation, this role gives you the opportunity to have a major impact on our work.

With analytical skills that enable you to make judgements, and with good communications skills – both verbal and written, you will be expected to work under your own initiative as well as part of a small team.

This role will manage and assess funding requests made by clubs who are members of the National League and their linked charities. It will also help to support and develop organisations who are new to community delivery. We want to enable them to be able to achieve great results with our funding and to become skilled applicants to allow them to access other grant opportunities.  The successful candidate with need to demonstrate an understanding of Theory of Change and what makes an impactful project. A knowledge of charity governance would also be an advantage.

You will need to have a strong understanding of funding systems and how grant support can enable recipients to make the biggest impact on their communities. You’ll also need to understand the landscape of community activity within football, who the stakeholders are and help to sustain partnerships across the network. Work will include the management of applications to the Premier League’s flagship education programme PL Primary Stars.

Being responsible for a variety of projects you will need to understand and respond to the different needs of our club community organisations (CCOs) by providing advice and feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.  You will give pre-application support, assess and report on new applications manage current grants, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, while supporting CCOs to deliver their projects and measure their impact.
