About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Philanthropy Manager - Trusts & Foundations (Health) to join our Fundraising & Supporter Development team to significantly increase philanthropic income for health fundraising priorities across King’s College London.

I am working exclusively with a health-based regulator, and we are looking for a Senior Project Manager (NOT IT) to join the Transformation and Change team on a Permanent, Full-Time basis. You will be expected to work on two major projects. The first of which is to develop a set of standards for registrants who go on and advance their practice/skills by attending further training and on the job experience. Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance misuse work, including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support, as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed supporting clients to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance misuse, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of our service users to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.

Experience of working with drug and alcohol misuse and individuals is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with clients on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

Purpose of the post
To lead the representation of the VCS Alliance, and wider Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE), in strategic meetings across Bradford District and Craven (BD&C). Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders operating at grassroots and strategic levels to ensure Health and Social Care services are being designed and commissioned with representation of the VCSE, in support of our Act as One partnership vision for people to be Happy and Healthy at Home.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key working relationships

• Form a robust network and collaborate with a wide range of partners, across the Act as One Partnership. Foster strong relationships through effective partnership working, ensuring mutual benefits and successful relationship management.
• Represent the VCSE sector in conversations on Urgent and Emergency Care, High Intensity Use, Intermediate Care, and other strategic meetings as required.
• Ensure that VCSE partners are well represented in all engagement with commissioners and to develop the reputation of the VCSE as partners.
• Actively support the transformation of Enhanced care in the community, intermediate care offer, to support people with the appropriate level of care support and interventions to maximise independence and wellbeing.
• Lead and champion VCSE / community led High Intensity Use approaches and methodology in secondary and primary care across BD&C

Operational

• Responsible for creating an innovative way of developing the reduction in high intensity use of Emergency Departments.
• Manage and facilitate discussions and advise delivery partners as to how best practice might be adopted for future development of services and oversee their delivery.
• Facilitate, coordinate, and chair multi-disciplinary meetings, including managing data flow, to ensure a person centred and holistic approach to care provision.
• Work closely with VCSE partners to facilitate and coordinate the co-design of highly personalised projects that support improved wellbeing and health outcomes, whilst reducing inappropriate contact with health care services and unscheduled care.
• Attend a range of system forums / steering groups that are in support of unmet social needs e.g. homelessness, Mental Health.
• Work with other VCS Alliance staff to ensure links to other relevant programmes across the system.
• Develop and operate monitoring processes that support learning and assess effectiveness of provision.
• Lead on a range of projects to ensure that the outcomes agreed are delivered on time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
• Determine links to existing projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider system/sector, resource requirements and building in contingency, as necessary.
• Work with finance team in preparation of budgets.
• Monitor finance expenditure and outputs relating to programme budget and report to Senior Leadership Team and Board as appropriate.

Information Management

• Present complex information and create briefs about projects in a way that make complex topics easier to understand and are appropriate for the audience.
• Coordinate and share learning of the work with the wider partnership to promote and ensure sustainability.
• Identify patterns, themes and ‘causal factors’ which trigger relapse behaviours in order to shape future commissioning of service and/or demand/capacity planning.
• Draft reports summarising status on issues, outcomes, and provide progress/highlight reports to ICB, including highlighting exceptions and risks ensuring mitigating action can be taken to keep programmes on track.
• Maintain a risk register and ensure actions are in place to mitigate unacceptable levels of risk.

Impact and Insight

• Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data and information.
• Collate as required, qualitative and quantitative information and lead appropriate analysis to develop robust business cases.
• Analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making across programme portfolio.

• Attend regular supervision sessions and staff meetings.
• Support general VCSA administration by handling inquiries via the telephone, email, and drop-ins.

• To provide support and care to young people who are newly arrived in the country, providing the foundations for them to rebuild their strength, dignity and grow their hope for their futures.

Personal specification

Baca is looking for a Support Worker who can join the support team and provide support, care and be a role model for young people who are newly arrived refugees and victims of trafficking aged 16 to 18. They will be motivated and passionate about the work that Baca does and the young people in our care.

The successful applicant will have the ability to ensure the support we give to the young people is of the highest quality and goes beyond the statutory standards set. They will be very approachable, reliable and a strong team worker. Someone who is supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable, personable and willing to be flexible. They will be a great people person who can develop key external relationships. They will also be a very organised and proactive individual. The successful applicant will need access to transport as the role requires visiting the young people in their homes and attending different appointments/meetings across the midlands. About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a driven person to join us as our Project Coordinator. You will be plan, develop and manage behaviour change projects which encourage and empower people to walk, wheel and cycle across the East Midlands. 

Reporting to the Head of Behaviour Change, you will be working closely with external Council Officers, as well as with regional colleagues across Sustrans.

As the Project Coordinator you will be line manager to two Project Officers, helping them develop skills and knowledge in planning, delivering, and evaluating behaviour change interventions.

Candidates should be based within the geographical area with weekly travel expected to Ilkeston and Derby.

For an International NGO operating in 40 countries worldwide, we are recruiting a Payroll Manager. Reporting to the Association Director of Financial Services, the Payroll Manager will manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring compliance with policies and legal regulations. The Payroll Manager will manage a team of 2 Payroll Officers, and will partner closely with HR, Finance and other teams to ensure a seamless payroll operation. Main Duties:

• Payroll Processing - Oversee the preparation and processing of the organisation's payroll including salaries, benefits, bonuses and deductions
• Handle all discrepancies and resolve issues related to payroll processing
• Compliance and Reporting - Ensure compliance with all internal and external local payroll regulations.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including annual and quarterly reports
• Complete regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure compliance
• Stay updated on change in payroll laws and implemented changes as necessary
• Ensure all payroll balance sheet reconciliations are completed
• Systems - Manage the Ceridian Dayforce payroll systems and implement updates as needed. Trouble shoot and resolve any payroll system issues
• Team Management - Lead and mentor a team of 2 Payroll officers including performance evaluations, and ongoing training and mentorship
• Collaboration - Work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data, and handle payroll related reports and data to senior management

About The Role

Working closely with our Chief Executive Officer, the Operations and Systems Manager would take a birds-eye view of our organisation to help us build a consistent, collaborative and centralised approach to how we work. You would hold responsibility for developing and embedding operational strategies, processes, policies, and systems that meet our needs and help to support staff wellbeing. This role includes a key focus on improving how we can better use and manage our digital infrastructure to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes and to improve our ability to engage and retain external audiences, enabling us to build our impact on a national scale. Key areas of responsibility are as follows:

Day-to-day operational management of the Charity, including:

• Resolving daily operational and administrative issues efficiently and effectively.
• Taking initiative to enhance or develop, implement and embed effective systems and working practices, drawing from personal knowledge and experience and external examples of best practice.
• Developing and refining our approach to hybrid working, ensuring systems and processes enable connection and creativity across the organisation. This includes working closely with the HR and Finance Officer to ensure new and existing staff are appropriately trained and supported with ensuring a safe, comfortable and productive home working set-up.
• Taking responsibility for managing our office space and working environment, ensuring it is fit for the organisation’s needs. This includes everything from liaising with our landlord and tradespeople, ensuring compliance with the terms of our lease, maintaining required levels of tea, coffee, milk, stationery and other consumables, and making improvements to ensure a productive and effective working environment.
• Ensuring technology (computers, printers etc.) is fit for purpose, safe, enables robust data security, and is properly recorded on Music Masters’ asset register.
• Oversight of service level agreements, memberships and contracts with external suppliers and providers, regularly reviewing these to ensure that they are current, necessary, effective and delivering value for money, in collaboration with the wider team and with the CEO / Finance Director as appropriate. This includes but is not limited to insurance and utilities.
• Management of certain operational budgets, in collaboration with the CEO / Finance Director.
• Oversight and administration of the Music Masters’ contact email inbox, voicemail inbox, and physical post.
•   The organisation of certain social events, and other team away days or Board strategic planning days.
• Ensuring organisational risk assessments and operational policies and processes are kept up to date and fit for purpose. The role-holder would have oversight of the policy review schedule, working with the CEO and appropriate team members to ensure policies are being regularly reviewed and that we are compliant with all relevant legal and regulatory developments including GDPR and Health and Safety.
• Building effective business continuity measures, including developing and embedding a formal business continuity plan across the organisation.

Digital:

• Overseeing day-to-day management of IT and communications infrastructure and usage, including ensuring IT and comms equipment, systems and processes are fit for purpose and enable strong connectivity internally and externally, liaising with IT and comms support agencies as appropriate.
• In year one, leading a full review of digital processes, tools / platforms and systems used across the organisation, facilitating and overseeing a digitally enabled environment for efficiency and sustainable growth in accordance with MM’s strategy. This involves consultancy across the team and with external users, creating a brief for specialist consultancy / support to help us find the right solution(s), working closely with the appointed consultant to implement the solution(s), and facilitating or providing initial training and support for the team during implementation.
• Providing or organising ongoing support and training beyond the digital review to ensure confidence across the team with using our new infrastructure to its full potential, helping us to work efficiently and effectively.
• Ensuring digital processes are in place to enable the organisation to easily engage, onboard and manage new partnerships and project opportunities, and oversee administration within these areas of work.
• Overseeing development of digital tools and resources such as I’M IN and the Virtual Learning Environment used by Musicians of Change participants and graduates to improve usability, accessibility and engagement.
• Oversight of policies and procedures that relate to IT and digital (e.g. Data Protection, Privacy, Cyber Security, IT)
• Keeping up to date with the latest practices and trends in technology that may benefit Music Masters.

Data protection

• Managing our data as the organisation’s Data Lead (currently titled Data Protection Officer), ensuring ongoing compliance with GDPR, focusing on appropriate, effective and safe data collection, usage and storage (online and offline), and helping to build the wider team’s confidence with and understanding around best practice in data protection.

Governance

• Supporting the CEO with general governance support including the organisation of quarterly Board meetings and Board development arrangements, meeting minuting where appropriate, updating Trustee information, and ensuring compliance with the Charity Commission, Companies House and any other regulatory bodies.

General

• Undertaking relevant training, ensuring ongoing development of knowledge via conferences, reading and networking.
• Being an advocate for and exemplifying Music Masters’ core values of excellence and inclusion.
• Undertaking any other duties and reasonable requests that are in keeping with the nature of this post and / or the wider organisation’s needs. This may include occasional evening and / or weekend work.

Location : Based in Telford (but with travel to other boroughs for pick-ups, you may also be required to visit our sites in South Yorkshire for training and development as needed)

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and as a result all have some level of additional need.  Some of the most common areas of need that we see are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs. 

We currently have projects in Rotherham, Barnsley, London and The Midlands.

Main Responsibilities

● To provide support for teaching staff in group teaching sessions, focusing on Maths, English, Occupational Studies and PSD and careers

● To deliver the NCFE Creative Crafts qualification for 1.5 hours per week with the addition of sufficient planning and preparation time

● To deliver one-to-one or two-to-one sessions with individual learners as and when it is required (on and off-site)

● You may be asked to run PSD/careers sessions with guidance, either on a one to one or group basis

● To offer support to all our young people, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

● To assist teaching staff in the preparation of materials and programmes of work

● To support with planning and participating in Really NEET engagement activities

● To write Behaviour Support Plans for all students and keeping them updated

● To support students who wish to get their CSCS card and driving licence etc

● To support in finding work experience, employment and onward progression opportunities for students

About the role: 

The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will deliver on income and our fundraising strategy, while playing a key role in the senior leadership team (SLT). 

Your focus will be driving income and donor engagement via major donors, corporates and special events and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Act as a key member of SLT, reporting to the CEO and working closely with associated peers to deliver and achieve the organisational strategy 

• Lead The Circle’s major gift fundraising, with a focus on HNWI, philanthropy advisors, corporate partnerships and trusts & foundations

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Trainee Project Worker or Trainee Floating Support Worker at services across London, including Westminster, Lewisham, Camden, Islington and Redbridge.

We help single Londoners by preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change.

Trainee Project Worker roles are based in supported accommodation services, where we aim to prepare clients for independence and positively impact their quality of life. These services provide temporary and longer-term accommodation for people who may have associated difficulties relating to mental health, complex support needs and trauma. In this role, you will be working on a shift rota, which will include working early shifts: 8am - 3:30pm/4pm and /or late shifts: 3:30pm - 10:30pm and could include some weekends and bank holidays.

We may also have Trainee Floating Support Worker roles, working to support a caseload of people who are at greater risk of homelessness with a focus on addressing housing-related issues, improving quality of life and promoting independence. Your support will include help with benefits issues, mental and physical ill health, hoarding and antisocial behaviours within a recovery framework and structured key working assessment. This work will involve regular travel in London, visiting clients in their own homes or other locations. 

As a Trainee, you will be working in a varied and rewarding role amongst a committed and supportive team. The training programme will teach you how to provide this support to clients, enabling them to achieve the objectives they have collaboratively created in their support and action plans. You will also assist clients with routine tasks and their goals relating to training, education, or employment.

As a Trainee, you will receive increments to your salary at six months and at nine months (subject to successful completion of the Trainee Programme).

You do not need to have previous or formal experience working in the homelessness sector or in a support role. We are seeking people with transferable skills and experience gained from a varied background, who will demonstrate a commitment and passion for the work that we do. You will be ready to learn on the job and we will support you to develop your own learning and practice through a structured programme and teamwork.

We are looking for people who are creative thinkers, that are committed and motivated in inspiring our clients into leading successful lives.  In return, we will provide you with a comprehensive and engaging Trainee Programme. Involving ongoing support, trainee specific workshops and plenty of opportunity to learn on the job through formal training, reflective practice, service visits and working with experienced colleagues. The traineeship period will run up to 9 months with a possibility for a fast track at 6 months.
