JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR is seeking a passionate and skilled Digital Fundraising Officer to join our team, helping raise vital funds for refugees and displaced people around the world. The successful candidate will play an essential role as UK for UNHCR looks to recruit and mobilise new supporters and donors to the cause.
Reporting to the Digital Acquisition & Mobilisation Manager, the role will help launch, monitor, and report on campaigns that engage supporters and donors. Two key projects within the role include helping deliver UK for UNCHR’s lead generation programme and working closely with the wider Digital Fundraising Team to manage innovation projects such as the UK for UNHCR virtual gift website.
The role will involve working across a wide range of channels – including via web, social media and email marketing – ensuring the digital programme follows best practice for fundraising across key channels.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Work in close collaboration with the Digital Acquisition & Mobilisation Manager to contribute to the planning and delivery of digital fundraising and mobilisation appeals – with a strong focus on lead generation (acquiring new supporters) and developing the virtual gift store.
- Designing, launching and monitoring engagement lead generation campaigns on key channels such as Meta, Care2 and Blueprint.
- Taking a leading role in developing, and further expanding, donations via UK for UNHCR’s newly-launched virtual gift store. Producing, editing and providing feedback on copy and imagery for social media posts, fundraising emails, and other digital platforms.
- Close collaboration with UK for UNHCR’s Database Team to ensure accurate data capture and integration from digital fundraising appeals into database systems.
- Regularly analyse campaign performance using Excel or Google Sheets and report on effectiveness to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with digital marketing agencies and internal teams, including the wider fundraising and communications teams, to help ensure organisational alignment.
- Effective personal time management to ensure deadlines are met and fundraising appeals are delivered on time.
- Actively participate in meetings and planning sessions, contributing ideas and insights to UK for UNHCR's fundraising appeals and mobilisation initiatives.
- Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and keep up to date with the latest trends in digital fundraising and digital mobilisation.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
Essential Skills
- Excellent digital marketing or digital fundraising skills: able to produce compelling, persuasive and concise copy for a range of target audiences across web, social media and email marketing. Strong proficiency with image design tools, such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Experience with at least one of the following digital tools: Meta Business Suite, Meta Ad Manager, Wordpress, Shopify, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or any similar tools typically used by non-profit organisations for social media, email fundraising, or digital marketing.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, capable of organising and analysing data.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (or their Google equivalents), for creating professional documents and presentations.
- Ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners, including digital marketing agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks, meeting project deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies that enhance digital fundraising efforts.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with delivering multi-channel fundraising appeals – for example appeals that span social media, website, and email marketing – would be advantageous.
- Experience working with Salesforce (or a similar CRM platform) to manage donor or customer data.
- Awareness of data protection regulations and other regulatory compliance for fundraising and electronic communication. Understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to refugee support and advocacy.

Working Hours
Working on a rota basis means you will need to be flexible over a 7 day rota. The service operates 24/7, however day shifts are either 08:00 – 15:30 or 14:30 – 22:00. There will be the option to pick up nights on occasion, for which the night enhancement rates will apply.

In this role you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Online Fundraising Team; building relationships with supporters who use online channels, new technologies or digital assets to fundraise. You will support the Senior Online Fundraising Officer and Senior Manager with the development of online fundraising products and will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of projects.
You will be at the forefront of the fundraising sector as it develops; you will proactively research and propose new areas of growth, you will help spot potential and trends in new areas of online fundraising and be willing to adapt to this quickly changing area.

· Work with the Digital Team to identify new potential fundraising platforms and ensure fundraising opportunities are not missed
· Proactively research opportunities to work with organisations in the Online Fundraising Space, developing propositions and delivering top level account management to Online Corporate Partners with the support of the SOFO

Supporter Management/Experience
· Provide excellent customer service to fundraising supporters (maintaining a polite, enthusiastic manner with prompt responses to enquiries), to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty

· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers

Project Management
· To manage the delivery of successful online fundraising challenges and campaigns, including day to day project management, agreeing budgets with SOFO/SM, internal briefing, merchandise orders, data and financial tracking

· To develop and deliver process enhancements with the SOFO / SM to allow the team to maintain high performance as the number of supporters grows.

· Undertake reviews and feedback to teams to highlight success, improvements and inform future planning

Creativity and Trend Hunting
· Apply external and internal insights to optimise and innovate new streaming activity
· Keep abreast of and identify new online fundraising trends through horizon scanning
· Write briefs, proposals and presentations for internal stakeholders to become involved in potential opportunities

London Wildlife Trust (LWT) is the only charity that champions nature’s recovery in London. LWT’s new COO will play a pivotal role in helping to achieve the 2030 Strategic Plan. They will be part of the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team with day-to-day overall leadership responsibility for finance, people, organisational development, impact measurement, and governance.
Following a period of significant growth, and currently embarking on a brand-new five-year Business Plan, London Wildlife Trust is at a turning point as an organisation and is seeking a dynamic and effective leader to complement and support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in leading the charity through a period of significant change and transformation.
The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO, and line-manage both the Head of Finance and the Head of People & Organisational Development.
Whilst we are not seeking a qualified accountant, the COO will need to be able to robustly and fluently speak to and understand financial challenges, particularly around longer-term forecasting and budgets. Supporting and guiding the formalisation of impact measurement across the organisation will also be a key aspect of the role, done in close collaboration with the wider senior management team and Director of Development.
Experience with and passion for streamlining operations, systems, and processes and continuously working to identify improvements will be essential, as will a calm and stable approach to leadership.
