Support Through Court offers practical and emotional support to people going through the civil courts with no legal aid so that litigants in person are comfortable with the process and can represent themselves to the best of their ability. Our volunteers proved support face to face, on the phone, and online to people dealing with divorce, eviction, access to children and many other challenges. We believe that no one should have to face court alone.
Our current Chair, Caroline Artis is standing down at the end of May and we are looking to recruit a replacement. The new Chair will lead an established board of 9 trustees with a wide range of skills and experience, and work with our Chief Executive and leadership team.
We are looking for a Chair who has skills and experience in leading teams, focusing on strategic goals, communicating with stakeholders, and championing the values of an organisation. While we would expect the Chair to be committed to the values of Support Through Court we do not require applicants to have any experience or qualifications in law or the legal system. We value diversity in our trustees and encourage applications from all walks of life.
Our Chair will work closely with our Chief Executive and other trustees to achieve our strategic objectives. Our board meets five times a year and has three sub-committees dealing with service, audit and risk, and fundraising, each with its own chair. In addition to chairing full board meetings, the Chair will be responsible for appraising the work of the Chief Executive and acting as an ambassador for Support Through Court at various events.
Being a trustee and Chair of Support Through Court is hard work and needs real commitment but it is inspiring and fulfilling to be part of this team.

Springboard Youth Academy supports refugee and asylum-seeking young people who have recently arrived in the UK to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond. By combining participatory learning, life skills and holistic support into action-packed weekend, half-term and summer programming, we work to bridge the gap in support for young people left behind by the mainstream school system.
As educators, service providers and youth workers with years of experience working to offset the challenges these young people face, we launched a programme that helps develop young people’s English language skills whilst addressing their psychological and social needs, preparing them for mainstream education and helping them rebuild their lives in London. We do this by providing interactive and engaging programming that combines English learning, life skills and practical and emotional strategies for young people on their journey to independence and adulthood.

Board of Trustees Chair Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young migrants? Do you believe in creating a fair and inclusive society for all?
Immigration is not just a topic of discussion—it's a reality for thousands of young people in the UK. At We Belong, we're pioneering change. We're not just another charity; we're a community led by young migrants, fighting for equal treatment and an end to the hostile immigration environment.
Our Mission:
Co-Founded in 2019 by Chrisann Jarrett MBE, We Belong is more than a charity—it's a force for change. Young migrants who are fully integrated in the UK now have five-year route to settlement, rather than the previous 10-years. It’s estimated that that over 300,000 children and young people could benefit from this policy change. Now, we're on a new mission: to ensure that every young migrant has the opportunity to thrive in the UK.
What We Offer:
- Immigration Support: Legal advice, training, and resources to empower young migrants.
- University and Career Support: Guidance on applications, scholarships, and career pathways.
- Leadership Development: Mentorship programs to nurture the leaders of tomorrow.
- Engagement Opportunities: Join our outreach and community engagement efforts.
- Safe Space & Community: A supportive network for guidance and connection.

Redemption Roasters is on a mission to reduce reoffending through coffee. We recently started a charitable Foundation so that we can deepen our impact and support more prison leavers into employment. We are looking for trustees to help establish and set the strategy for our new charity.

The Foundation has been established by the business Redemption Roasters to expand its impact, but is independent.
About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Board of Trustees for the Redemption Roasters Foundation. The role of trustee is an important voluntary position, with successful candidates working closely with the Chair of Trustees to ensure the chairty is well-run, effective, and delivers against its objective of reducing reoffending.
If appointed, you will help determine the strategic direction of the charity. You will use your skills and talents to help the charity establish itself and, in doing so, positively impact the lives of those leaving prison.

If you would like to discuss this further before applying then you are welcome to contact the charity.

We welcome and support your preferences for the way we work together, how you like to receive information and how we can make it easier for you to participate actively in our discussions.
One more thing
We know that great trustees come from many backgrounds and with a variety of experiences and that’s great - we really value people who bring different perspectives and add new voices to our team.
But you might not feel you ‘check all the boxes’ as you read this advert or the role description, especially if you’ve been marginalised or excluded. We get it, and we’ve felt like that too. But we hope you’ll apply anyway because we’d love to hear from you and will take care to help you feel welcome and included.
For more information on the role please see the role description.
We welcome and support your preferences for how you like to receive information and how we can make it easier for you to apply.

If you need any adjustments during the application process please let us know and we'll do our very best to accommodate them.
