We are searching for a Peer Support Worker to join our Mental Health services. The role is a peer support worker, who would facilitate groups, and help us with the smooth running of Mind BLMK services. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the recovery journey needed to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Our peer support and recovery services are a key element of the services we offer, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals. If you feel like you would be suitable for this role, we can’t wait to hear from you.
Service Delivery
- Facilitate Peer Support groups and ensure outcomes which support individuals
- with mental health and wellbeing needs and achieves the service’s KPIs.
- Support clients to access other services within Mind BLMK.
- Encourage and support client engagement with Mind BLMK through the influence and participation process, Guarantor Membership, and training opportunities.
- Identify and build good working relationships with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, community groups, relevant services and activities for partnership work and signposting as well as keep updated information about them.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Mind BLMK team and relevant key post holders.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
- Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Accounts Payable function; processes transactions in the accounting system and maintains accounts payable files for vendors. Primary point of contact for questions and assistance regarding entry and payment of invoices.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert on Unit 4 ERP System Vendor Master File and accounts payable, provide support to other Internews staff also entering invoices.
- Prepare and enter multi-currency invoices for all payment methods (Barclays wire Transfers, ACH, check, FX, Western Union, etc.), including review for proper coding and approvals.
- Review and research open payables to resolve outstanding issues prior to payment.
- Process recurring remittances according to corporate schedule, including payment of invoices entered by others.
- Processing payments and Provide payment confirmations to appropriate parties as necessary.
- Maintain AP vendor master records in accounting system.
- Organize and maintain A/P files.
- Research vendor payment history in response to queries from Internews staff and others.
- Cross trained as backup staff to other department functions, including PSC payment processing and expense reimbursements and AP mailbox cover.
- Support of commitment accounting and purchase order monitoring
- Maintain Asset Register incl Additions and Disposal, Monthly Depreciation calculation and posting the journals into the accounting system.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Payroll and Bank Reconciliations before month-end close.
- Debtor and Creditor reconciliations and Advances (Cards) before month-end close
- Processing and posting Prepayments before month-end close.
- Income & Expenditure Recording in the accounting system
- Proving support during Statutory and Donor Audits
- Fixed Asset Management.
- Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to upholding Internews Core Values.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years progressively complex accounting experience

Role Outline
This new role for Citizens Advice Bucks provides a great opportunity for someone to join our supportive fundraising team at an exciting time when we look to expand the way in which we engage our local community and fundraise. The role will work with colleagues across the charity including our Communications team. will play a key role in raising awareness of Citizens Advice Bucks in the County, engaging with existing and new supporters/partners through a variety of community and fundraising events.

We have a vacancy for a Flourish (Refugee and Asylum Seekers) Community Outreach Worker to join our team, supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health as a primary need, through providing advice, information and holistic support.
About the Service
‘Flourish’ is a highly flexible and responsive outreach service developed to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire. The aim of the service will be to support refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health support as a primary need.
Purpose of Post
- To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
- Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
- To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
- To take allocated referrals from any agencies including the Community Navigators, Borough and District Councils, Herts Help, Housing Providers, Herts Welcomes Refugees, the Refugee Council and self-referrals including walk in contacts at any of the Mind wellbeing centres across the county.
- Hold a caseload of clients, supporting for approx. 10 weeks
- To create a safe space for the individual to be able to explore their feelings and improve their understanding around their mental health.
- To complete a holistic needs assessment.
- Ensure all person centred risk assessments and support plans are completed.
- Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
- Support clients to build their emotional resilience, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
- To provide safeguarding intervention support. This will include responding to problems, which pose an immediate risk.
- To work alongside translators when required to provide a robust package of support for clients.
- To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services in the Borough.
- To provide advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
- To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
- To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working, working with other third sector and VCSE organisations to provide signposting and continuity of care.

Ochil Tower School is now looking for a Head of Care who will form a key part of the Leadership Team, working under a highly experienced and dynamic Executive Director. The Head of Care would be effective in collaborating with the education team, parents and carers and a range of other partners to meet the needs of our children and young people.
The Head of Care will liaise with members of the school community primarily but will link in with other residential schools and with other external agencies to ensure that the service remains responsive to need, is professional in approach and in line with National Care Standards, as well as Government initiatives regarding residential and day care for children and young people. The successful candidate will undertake the day-to-day strategic leadership and management of the residential team and ensure effective systems are in place for policies, procedures and monitoring. Summary job description
Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge sharing events both online and face to face across the organisation in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Food Security. This individual will oversee the Food Security function, including the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners around the world as they establish initiatives targeting fish production, availability and affordability, to promote nutrition, food security and financial returns of fishers through assessments of the nutritional value of key fisheries, sustainable fisheries management, waste reduction initiatives, and interventions that increase the economic and nutritional value, as well as durability, of fish catch. The Global Head - Food Security will have a strong understanding and technical experience of food security and nutrition programmes in coastal fishing communities and initiatives to reduce losses in catch value (both nutritional and financial), with proven skills in coaching and team building skills and effective management capacity in leading a multi-disciplinary team and working cross-functionally.
Blue Ventures recognises the key roles that women play in fisheries management and conservation as fishers, gleaners, processors, sellers and negotiators and seeks to highlight the important value of their roles in the fisheries value chain, that are often invisible, so that they also benefit. An understanding of the challenges faced particularly by women in fisheries and experience of working in communities to find some practical solutions desirable for this role. The role will work in close collaboration with the Global Technical Knowledge team to support these goals, which includes working with fisher associations and committees to increase the participation of women in leadership and decision-making.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing tropical coastal fisheries and the small-scale fishing communities that depend on them. Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.
Our goal is to promote, preserve, and restore the mental health and wellbeing of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence.
London Survivors Gateway
London Survivors Gateway (LSG) is made up of the four London Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, Respond and the Havens and together make up the LSG partnership. Women and Girls Network (WGN) leads this collaborative partnership which provides an information and access service across London for survivors of sexual violence, aged 13+, who wish to access ongoing support. The LSG works with people of all genders.
LSG aims to ensure diversity and equality is at the centre of the service and service delivery, and that the service continues to be responsive to, and meet the needs of all survivors in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive way.
About the role
We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Navigators to join the LSG. The Navigators will act as first point of contact for survivors of sexual violence and the professionals supporting them, by providing holistic and non-judgemental information, advice and support. They will support survivors (via telephone) to access additional specialist sexual violence services through trauma-informed triage and assessment.
WGN is also looking for a highly motivated and experienced Rapid Response Senior Navigator to support the LSG team by responding effectively and efficiently to enquiries that need to be prioritised due to safeguarding risk. They will help triage, assess and refer clients with multiple disadvantages into supporting service.
