Turning tides is our exciting new project working with young people aged 18-25 offering one to one coaching in community based settings. The project delivers bespoke support based on a young persons needs and challenges. We are looking to appoint a wellbeing coach based in Whitby . The ideal candidate will live in Whitby and have a good understanding of the area and its resources.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Policy Research to join our team. This is a senior and strategic role, responsible for team management and leading key research projects, providing subject matter expertise and liaising with stakeholders. The Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) is an educational research institute established to help improve later life outcomes. Responsibilities
- Leading the research team, managing the resources and interaction with the modelling team
- Managing relevant external research associates, brought in from time to time to complete projects
- Generating input into the overall research plan with ideas for new areas of research
- Producing scopes and bids and working with external sources to secure project funding
- Building relationships with others in the academic community and Government
- Representing the PPI at events and conferences, and in discussions with Government, the pensions industry and other stakeholders.
- The management and production of PPI research projects:
- To ensure the timely delivery of quality outputs from the policy researchers and relevant research associates
- From time to time, subject to workload: to research and draft PPI publications including conducting literature reviews and desk-based research, analysing and interpreting data from a policy perspective, developing conclusions from analysis, presenting data and report writing
- To participate in discussion groups and seminars on pensions policy issues and contribute to developing the PPI’s research agenda and profile.

Essential skills:
- A working knowledge of the UK pension system (or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly) or work experience in social policy research.

- Proven ability to interpret statistics/ modelling results (the candidate is not expected to undertake modelling or handle large data sets themselves).
- Excellent report-writing and data presentation skills, drafting for public, or non-technical, readers in plain English.
- Experience of presenting research findings in seminars or conferences.

- Good project management, organisational an time management skills.

We're looking for an experienced Proposal Writer, High-Value Audiences to join our fundraising team on a 24-month contract. You will play a critical role in the Fundraising Growth programme: an internal change programme that will strengthen and scale fundraising capabilities across the National Trust so that we can create a step-change in our fundraising income - essential to delivering the Trust’s new 2035 strategy.

What it's like to work here
The Fundraising team is dynamic, ambitious and focused on making things happen; playing a vital role in enabling the National Trust to deliver its purpose. Our team sits within the Support and Revenue Directorate, which brings together our supporter-facing income streams from Membership to Fundraising through to our Commercial teams.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, and you’ll be expected to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing
You’ll be writing compelling and engaging text, which sets out a clear case for support for a broad range of projects for high-value audiences, made up of Corporations, Major Donors, Grant Makers and Trusts & Foundations. You'll produce creative and attractive proposals using photos, graphics and charts, refining large volumes of content into one persuasive document using judgement to decide the most powerful and tangible information for inclusion.
You’ll have a broad range of stakeholders across National Trust with whom you'll have to prepare clear, concise and compelling written material in support of fundraising projects. You will build and maintain strong communication with project development teams and fundraisers. Requiring you to engage with, and ask critical questions of, technical experts and senior leaders to develop proposal content.
You’ll be working in a proposition development team and will work closely with your team members on the development and authoring of propositions. You will be working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment where priorities can change according to adjustments in fundraising strategies. You will need to plan time efficiently to manage multiple requests and large-scale proposals.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.

About the role
We are excited to be advertising this newly created role as part of WGN’s growth. This role will be the lead on the finance function. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation including executive leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the Director and external auditors. The role will have two direct reports – Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Officer. This is a hands-on role and will have full responsibility for the finance function on a day to day and medium-term basis. The Financial Controller is to lead on all financial systems set up and upgrades.

Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management and development of the Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Officer.

- Have experience in working with the charity sector in a similar role for at least two years.
- Work well with non-finance colleagues and trustees in delivering key financial reports in an easy-to-understand manner.

We are incredibly delighted to be working with Ark in their search for an excellent Trust Fundraising Officer. As an education charity, Ark seeks to ensure that all children have access to a great education and real choices in life.
This role will play a critical part in the success of the small but driven fundraising department at Ark and will contribute towards their target of raising £3 million per year. The postholder will work to support the fundraising efforts of Ark’s 39 schools, managing a portfolio of small to medium trust applications up to £10k, developing inspiring cases, and working to achieve agreed income targets. This role will also involve prospect research, with the postholder identifying and segmenting potential donors. You will also manage relationships with various internal departments and the schools’ network to gain support for funding proposals and reports.
To be successful in the role of Trust Fundraising Officer, you will need:
- An understanding of trusts fundraising, grant management and what is needed for successful applications up to £10,00
- Reporting and budgetary knowledge to support input into grant applications and financial monitoring processes, with proficiency in prospect research.
- Excellent communication skills with the authority to inspire, with strong persuasive and negotiating skills resulting in positive outcomes.
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver high-quality family support services as part of our South West Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social, and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss, and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.
This is a new dual diagnosis arm of the project based at Lister Hospital working in A&E departments and hospital wards facilitating hospital discharge for people with a mental health and/or drugs and alcohol need.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Lister Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Lister Hospital staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patients homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The Bounce Back Worker will work with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support. The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes. The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive referrals from the ward teams at Lister Hospital and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- To manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service.
- To build strong relationships with staff at Lister Hospital and Mental Health Teams across Hertfordshire.
- To work in partnership with other agencies.
- To establish a strong presence on the ward, working at the hospital when required.
- Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
- To assist patients to access appropriate services and community resources within the local community, accompanying patients to attend appointments where this aids ongoing recovery.
- To work with key staff within the hospital to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated.
- To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
- Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer term needs.
- Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.
We offer:
- Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)
