South East London Mind have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Services to lead on supporting and developing our existing services in the London Boroughs of Lambeth & Southwark. This includes the successful and established Counselling Services, Advice & Information Service, Peer Support and Befriending. This exciting new post will also involve taking a lead on local partnerships with both statutory and other voluntary sector organisations.
With experience managing community-based services and of partnership working, you will need to demonstrate that you can motivate teams and individuals, communicate effectively and deliver continuous improvement in service delivery.

An average day:
- Meet with staff and volunteers to plan the day and prepare the site
- Welcome people onsite, lead or support the setting of activities for the morning
- Lead a group in horticultural activities and meet people 121 for assessments or regular reviews
- Join the group of staff, volunteers and people accessing the service to stop for lunch
- Lead a group in horticultural activities and wrap up the day
- Debrief with staff and volunteers, write up notes and if needed contact referrers or other agencies before closing up the site.
About You
You’ll understand the community Bridewell supports, demonstrate empathy and knowledge of the challenges faced by people affected by serious mental health conditions.
You’ll have experience of working in a mental health setting and be open to new learning
You will have professional training and experience in occupational therapy, mental health, or social and therapeutic horticulture
Reflective practice and working collaboratively in a small team are second-nature to you, you accept everyone as they are and focus on strengths and solutions to make progress
You enjoy working outdoors (in all weathers!), you’re practical minded and have a strong interest in gardening and nature
This is a part time position, 21 hours per week over three days. The role will involve occasional weekend work to support public events including Bridewell’s Open Days. You will need your own transport and a full driving license.

Job Title: Money & Energy Adviser
Reports to: Money & Energy Advice Service Lead
Location: Based at home/preferred place of work, with travel across the region as required

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.
Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.
Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.
- Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
- Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services
• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:
- Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
- Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
- Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs
• Work closely with local Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to ensure that patients receive expert advice in all areas of need, with smooth, effective handovers ensuring that patients feel supported and part of the Kidney Care UK ‘family’ at all times
• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and our funders
• Raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefit of its full range of Patient Support Services amongst kidney patients, their families, carers and professionals across the region
• Provide insight on patients’ concerns and unmet needs to inform Kidney Care UK research, campaigns, and new service development activity

Job Purpose
Working closely with the Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive will provide leadership and operation direction to Age Concern Luton, Working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) they will be responsible for developing and implementing the agreed strategy and achieving the business plans of the organisation, by effectively managing and developing the resources available to the organisation. They will represent the organisation externally by promoting its services and values.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Work with the Board in developing a strategy for the organisation.
- Lead and develop a welcoming environment which reflects an inclusive organisation that values diversity and embeds equal opportunity for all stakeholders.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in collaboration with the SMT, ensuring strategic plans and policies are developed and implemented to facilitate the achievement of the organisation’s business plans and objectives.

People Management

Database, Social Media and Office Administrator
Merton Mencap is a local charity supporting young people and adults with a learning disabilty and / or autism and their family carers in the borough of Merton.
We provide weekday, weekend and holiday clubs, as well as learning opportunities at our Community Cafe. We hold lots of fundraising events such as indoor sky diving, our annual charity auction and staff joining together to sing Christmas carols in shopping centres to raise funds to support our projects.
This is a varied role and the successful candidate will be pivital to all aspects of the business, working with all members of the Senior Management Team as well as project staff who work across the borough of Merton.
The applicant will be responsible to the Office Manager and will support them in day to day operations for the charity, as well as being a social media and database expert for the charity. Training on our database system will be provided.
The role is office based in our Merton Offices and can be worked over 2 or 3 days per week, 52 wks per year.
The charity offers a staff healthcare benefit scheme, pension and annual leave.

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to help us grow sustainable income from businesses and build strong, purposeful partnerships. In this role, you’ll focus on securing new business and sponsorships, maintaining excellent relationships with existing partners, and finding opportunities for growth. You’ll also assist in managing the corporate budget with the support of the Corporate Partnerships Manager.

About you
- Experience of employee recruitment and talent attraction within a large, complex organisation (not necessarily a charity).
- Experience of managing people change projects with multiple stakeholders and evaluating project impact.
- Demonstrable experience of key areas of recruitment, such as talent assessment & selection and using applicant tracking systems is essential.
- You will have line management responsibility and so previous experience of people management is desirable.
- Working confidently with data to draw insight and analyse impact, you will also have experience of equality, diversity & inclusion best practice in recruitment.
- Be able to provide sound advice and judgement based on knowledge and understanding.
- Have strong influencing ability; and experience of engaging and influencing senior stakeholder management

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Research Grants Administrator to join our team and support the operation of our expanding research grants programme at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. In this role, you will manage key administrative tasks and ensure the accurate processing of data related to research funding.
A core part of your role will involve maintaining and updating our grants management database, ensuring all records are current and correct. You will work closely with research institutes to verify and process grant-related invoices, ensuring they align with the awarded funding. Additionally, you'll collaborate with our Finance Team to ensure timely payments and proper record-keeping.
Your responsibilities will also include requesting and processing reports from grant recipients, ensuring they are reviewed by the appropriate colleagues or Research Advisory Panels. You will play a key role in monitoring the impact of funded research, including tracking publications and other outputs.
You will also support researchers in submitting applications for funding, coordinating the review process, and assisting with the successful award of grants. Accurate record-keeping of research contacts, such as grantees and reviewers, is also an important part of this position.
