We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to the Chair of the Board. Reporting to the Governance Manager & Deputy Secretary, you will be part of the Finance and Assurance directorate.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing personal assistance to the Chair, including the coordination of a confidential calendar, managing requests for attendance, travel arrangements, meeting and event coordination, and ensuring the effective use of the Chair’s time. A high level of confidentiality and discretion will be essential in all aspects of your work. While the primary focus will be supporting the Chair, there may be occasional personal assistant support required for other Trustees.

You will bring extensive experience as a Personal Assistant, particularly in supporting senior staff and working within a large organisation. Experience working with C-Suite executives or Non-Executive Directors/Trustees is essential, along with an understanding of their priorities and the demands of their roles.

You will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive, who manages the Chief Executive’s schedule and personal arrangements, and with our Governance Admin Co-ordinator, who books travel and accommodation for board and committee meetings. Together, you will ensure the Chair has a well-organised calendar and is fully briefed in advance of key events.

The role is home-based, though you will be required to attend meetings in person, so a current UK passport and residence in the UK are essential.

The Role 

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our London & South East Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

This role is part home, part site-based. Your contractual base will be both Home and Hospital.

This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities. The post holder will lead a few projects and partnerships, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities and monitoring their progress.

Some examples of current projects are:

• Coordinating and supporting a group of six people with lived experience to co-design an immersive audio story and campaign to improve the health of people living in temporary accommodation in London. 

• Working with the City of London Corporation to embed meaningful co-production practices in their homelessness services; bringing people with experience of homelessness, frontline staff, and commissioners together to improve service design and delivery. 

Your main task will be to coordinate groups of people with lived experience of homelessness and health inequalities, alongside Groundswell peers and colleagues, services, local authorities, funders and policymakers.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Specialist to take on the important role of locality team leader in one of our localities.  This will involve both clinical and leadership skills.  There is a potential for this to be a development role for an experienced Specialist Nurse wishing to move in to leadership.

Working under the clinical leadership of the Associate Director of Patient Care and Communities, you will adopt a person-centered, coaching approach to the leadership of a locality team, fostering self-coaching, team working, self-awareness, personal growth and professional competence and development. The role has responsibilities for line management of the multi professional locality team and also deputises when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working collaboratively as part of an integral, multi-disciplinary team addressing the physical, emotional and social needs of children and young people who may be neurodivergent, as well as their families using the service
• Maintaining relevant knowledge and understanding of safeguarding standards, ensuring compliance with Norwood’s policies and procedures for promoting the welfare of children and young people as well as vulnerable young adults
• Meeting with children, young people and their families at the centre (or other community settings) or in a remote working environment (adhering to Norwood guidelines) with a view to undertaking comprehensive assessments of individual needs using a strengths-based approach, understanding the impact of neurodiversity, planning appropriate responses in partnership with children and young people and their families

The ADSHG is a well-established UK charity supporting people with Addison’s and adrenal insufficiency through its website, social media reach and member services.   Addison’s disease is a form of adrenal insufficiency and is a rare endocrine condition affecting 1:10,000, and both genders. Whilst treatable with time-critical daily medication, individuals with adrenal insufficiency are at risk of potentially life-threatening adrenal crisis, which occurs when physical or emotional triggers mean that prescribed medication no longer meets the body’s need for cortisol.  Adrenal crisis is a medical emergency and can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated in a short period of time.  Addison's and adrenal insufficiency are not widely understood, even within the medical community.     

Social Media

Our social media reach has grown steadily over the years, and, thanks to thoughtful content promoting audience engagement, it currently stands at a reach of over 31,000 across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X and with a growing reach on BlueSky.   Our audience consists of our members and non-members with a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency, their carers and supporters, and healthcare professionals.

We use Loomly to help organise and schedule our posts, aiming to post at least 3 times a week.  Our community respond particularly well to both educational and emotive topics, but we aim to keep a good diversity between the focus of posts, and will include fundraising, news, updates, shop alerts, educational articles, member information etc. 

Our social media links our community back to our website for more information as well as signposting out to other organisations as appropriate.

Job Title: Campaign Manager - Better Business Act

Why this role?

In this role you would be responsible for driving forward the Better Business Act campaign, building relationships with stakeholders who could help us achieve this critical change and using learning from the campaign to contribute to the strategic design and development of B Lab UK’s policy and public affairs work.

In this role you will:

• Campaign Development & Management: Lead and execute the Better Business Act (BBA) campaign, set KPIs, track progress, and ensure alignment with B Lab UK’s policy strategy. Oversee BBA communications, manage relationships with spokespeople, and ensure Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) principles are embedded.

• Technical Specialist & Relationship Management: Advise senior stakeholders on the BBA, represent it at events, build support among business and policy groups, and manage an events program to advance advocacy.

• Team Management: Line manages the Campaign & Events Coordinator and Public Affairs Officer, providing coaching and ensuring alignment across teams for effective collaboration.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Community Hub Co-ordinator to lead the development and day-to-day running of our exciting new Community Hub, made possible thanks to five years of National Lottery funding. About the role

 As Community Hub Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the launch and development of this exciting new space. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the Hub, support and line-manage a small team (including staff with lived experience of learning disability or autism), and co-design a wide variety of services, events, and partnerships with our members and community.

You’ll also work with other local organisations and charities to expand the support on offer—exploring exciting ideas like social enterprises, creative groups, advice drop-ins or a community café. This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be welcoming people and helping with a session, other days you’ll be planning future activities, liaising with partners, or exploring funding ideas. No two days will be the same.

As the new Finance Manager you will oversee the charity’s finance processes, leading all of the day-to-day financial operations, producing regular financial reporting for the senior management team and board. Mind in Camden has the exciting permanent opportunity to recruit people to work on our leading Hearing Voices Projects.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.

With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.

We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.
• Be part of some of the frontline work, including facilitating groups.
• Build networks and deliver training sessions for the Hearing Voices Projects.
• Liaise with the finance department and ensure the projects are meeting targets for funders.
• Support relevant data monitoring and evaluation on the projects.
